It was a craze back then,I was in high school at the time,grade 11.most kids had these,we use to increase the standard volume with computer.the loudest phone meant you was the coolest 😂

Yes, a lot of Java games were available and the phone could be easily modded as well.
So much customization could be done with this. Unlocking, installing custom mods ("Yuet Mod" if I remember correctly was one of the more popular), themes, front-screen picture and others. Also you could install iTunes (ported from the ROKR E8 I think) though it had a 100 song limit. And not to mention just fiddling around with various hidden configurations you could enable on it via software. The most fun phone I've ever had.
Yes, I know that this phone could be customised in so many ways. Unfortunately I don’t know how to unlock it, my one is on Orange UK.

hey do you need a sim card for this to work? mine opens for 5 seconds and tells me that there's no sim card and then shuts down...

its me but from my newer account, i lost access to the older account. anyways the motorola still works but it has some problems with the battery, i got it from my dad and it was my first phone. i remember playing snake or something similiar on it.

I miss the phone. I DON'T miss the camera. haha.
The camera was good enough back then for such a phone. Was not top of the range.
I had one of these phones until I had tried to upload music and use it as a sort of "iPod" before the actual iPod days but something happened to the os and never worked again so it got tossed off a bridge to be dashed on the rocks below 😁
Maybe the software crashed. Probably it would work again if the software was reinstalled 🤔
