SThis is the first time Ive seen Maddy on the back foot. Her vulnerability about her identity is heartwarming and unexpected. Maddy does her research and she came with tricks but Raja lent IN with a vigour and intention that's rare amongst her generation. I fucking love Raja. Queen.
Raja and Maddy vibes was everything we needed and more. Love how Raja is genuinely excited to be here and speak to Maddy, they seemed to truly connect.
Hi Maddy, this is my favorite épisode now (before that was Landon Cider, both itw) ! For your statstics i'm a 60 years old woman from France, and i binge your podcast because i love it. Your interviews are very interesting and funny and i think very accurate so i hope that is leading you to success. This is a conversation with Raja, that makes it special, rather than a proper itw, but it is so good, that it makes me feeling happy, brings me joy so thank you so much!
i could listen to you two talk for hours. raja's gentle and cosmic energy contrasts perfectly with maddy's down-to-earth and straightforward charm. this was an amazing episode.
I'm also a straight guy in my early 20s now, was definitely thinking i was maybe bi/gay cos of my "feminine" interests, didn't really find many people who had similar experiences. While it's not the EXACT same as Maddy's, I'm so happy and grateful for hearing about Maddy's experience with gender and sexuality. And love the lgbt brothers and sisters who's message of self live helps all, cos it definitely helped me
I think these interviews are legendary! This type of documentation is super important . And not to mention one day when the interviewees are old and gray they will be able to look back on these significant times in their lives. Then their relatives can also see these in 100 years! Very cool.
I had to pause to leave this comment. I think it’s beautiful how Raja wants to know more about Maddy and in return we can know more about her too. I think this is the first time a guest has had a strong back and forth and I hope to have a fraction of Rajas aura when I get older (currently 33) while remaining youthful and insightful. 2 queens stand before me! 🫶🏼 alright back to the interview…
Raja is such a legend. I'm in the same age bracket & I guess I'm lucky to be open minded & receptive to the younger generations. I always considered myself androgynous until I learned the new language. I appreciate the younger generations for being more accepting, open & kind hearted than previous generations.
This is you're best interview yet IMHO. Raja's depth and ...openness was a huge part of it's success, but you wrangled the shit out of that situation skillfully.
In my 30s and I so relate to Raja being older but still wanting to be part of the revolution; wanting to hear out younger generations on their own terms. My big fear though is that young people (young men anyway) are turning to authoritarianism, and I just can't and won't hear that out. It's wrong, it's evil, and it breaks my heart.
Raja is the only person that can come here and turn the tables 2.1 seconds after the interview started and I LOVE IT. I haven't finished it washing it but I'm already putting this interview in the top 3 best interviews of Maddy!
I love how Maddie and Raja ended up equally fascinated by each other, and on the same page. It's like when you invite your friends from two very different friend groups and they end up vibing!
I was so excited for this because raja has been in all of the comments of the instagram. And a part of me thought for a second that it was going to be bob because of Madonna, but then I realized if Maddy was going to interview bob, it would have to be in the robot drag and then that made me excited because I wish bob would also be in their robot drag so that we could get dueling robot looks
Thanks @Raja for interviewing Maddy and listening to how suppression had the unintended effect of making things less clear and Maddy's response to go against all of it. And maybe its the weed but Raja seems really wanting to find a friend in Maddy
Raja is an absolutely fascinating person. And her take on modern drag is so refreshing. So many old school drag queens are just bitter at the current state of things but Raja seems genuinely excited by the evolution of the artform.
True legends don't rise to the top because they've been put on a pedestal, but because they elevate the art and all of us with with it. This episode made so many things about Raja click into place for me. The goal is accurate authentic connection and communication. She wants to understand others and have her art accurately communicate what she intends. There are people who have encyclopedic knowledge on a topic, and others who amass knowledge in pursuit of goals. When Raja talks about looks on Drag Race or Photo Ruview, she doesn't sound snobby making reference after reference. They were just descriptors to help communicate her viewpoint, which I didn't always agree with, but always felt that she communicated accurately. I literally watched the Ruview that Maddy mentioned literally the day before this video dropped, and she mostly just seemed upset that the shoes seemed so disconnected from the look. An icon does their art well, supports others in their field, and can really communicate what's so special about it to folks on the outside. This is easily in my top 3 GITMS as best conversation since the connection was so real and mutual. My other two are for comedic chemsitry (Aja) and best all around (Latrice). This is an episode I've listened to three times already, and will be my go-to when I need a reminder of humanity.
appreciate being the first person to turn the tables and interview Maddy and loved how they opened up about the gender journey. Gets better and better ❤️
This is one of the best interviews! Raja’s museum exhibit at NGV was so good too. I hope she comes to melb to show them in person. Matty is such a world class interviewer!!! I loved learning about both of your journeys!
This whole conversation was unbelievable, Raja has always been my personal favourite, from her aesthetic to her views on the world, I cracked hard on the Alien Food bit 💗 one of those people I would love to share a deep conversation, couple glasses of wine, a joint, and an afternoon of thrifting!
14:24 "I've had to learn, and be corrected" LISTEN, the fact that Raja at their big age -- when some people's views calcify and push back against newness -- is still open to growth is why I love em. Actually why I dig both of them. Genuine mutual curiousity about their journeys. Ty for this inter-gen convo.
embracing the feminine energy in us as men is something to continuously revisit and explore. I love being a man, i am a man and will always be but i dont fit the mould, i dress up, i play with make-up, i move my body in both male and female ways. Its a little easier for me as a gay man to do all these things but for a straight guy, must have really been a break out moment to say, hey, this is me, get into it... brave and valuble... The freedom to explore is everything, i love this.
It felt like Maddy was throwing shade in the beginning but Raja took control of the energy and made it a completely loving environment so that Maddy gave herself genuinely too. Gorgeous interaction. Raja is Earth Energy x
I watched Raja perform live here in Japan together with Denali and Pangina a year ago. And as much as I was enjoying and living for the high energy performances Denali and Pangina did, I was also living for Raja in her fashionable, slow-tempo, and engaging performances. The way I almost lost it when she came down the stage and passed by where I was. It was electrifying to see an eye-con like her so up close!
Good Lord, what a thoughtful, erudite and appealing segment between these two. Both of you come off brilliant and contemplative… Profound and engaged… What a great interview.
It was so validating hearing Raja speak about effort. I hate when commenters on FPR or the Pit Stop just want to yap about how she doesn't put that much effort into her looks since her season of RPDR. Of course excellence is important and drag is about excellence, but I don't think that that always has to translate into seamless glossy perfection. There's ways of knowing your power, conserving your energy, and still *getting it* because you have the vision and charisma necessary, and know how to oscillate between dialing it up and down. Personally speaking, I care a lot about fashion but think that it's really scary to get to the place where you feel ugly or small without the armor, and I love that Raja shows the possibility of being relaxed without claiming that it's more authentic or anything reductive like that.
INCREDIBLE episode!! i loved Raja & i loved Maddy separately but together, omg really the duo i didn’t know i needed. this borderline felt like “wow i really would love to be friends with these two individuals. they are so cool”
I could listen to these two talk for hours and hours. Really important, deep topics just casually spoken about, no interrupting, no judgment. Just lovely.
omg Raja is ADORABLE. Maddy thank you for having her on. The conversation the two of you had on identity was amazing and thoughtful. Makes me adore both of you even more so than I had been! xoxox
This was such an incredible interview! i always like the humour and the roasts but this deep thoughtful conversation was amazing. Reminded me of being high/drunk, at 3 am outside the party just talking to some friends about the meaning of the universe

Absolutely 100% agreed!
She is such a vibe. Always awesome, never complains, always positive. Looks amazing at her age because her personality just shines through her skin.
What a beautiful comment ❤
The gender conversation was awesome. Thanks for having it out loud :)
I'm always fascinated by Raja. She feels so in tune with herself
she is like our older cool aunt
The audible gasp when I saw the notification for this.
Wig, snatched.
Face, cracked.
I’m, gagged.
Swear to God I thought Maddy was Lady Bunny in “Wild West Saloon Madam” drag in the thumbnail.
😮😅
Miss ma’am you had QUEENS on this here pod but now you have our 1st season 3 LEGEND
embracing the feminine energy in us as men is something to continuously revisit and explore.
A nourishing interview. I think we are really getting essential Raja here. It’s an incredible vibe.
It felt like Maddy was throwing shade in the beginning but Raja took control of the energy and made it a completely loving environment so that Maddy gave herself genuinely too. Gorgeous interaction. Raja is Earth Energy x
OMG this is the most interesting episode because we get to know both Raja and Maddy plus their conversation is so fascinating as well
This went way deeper than I thought, and I'm only 23 minutes in
maddy u are an amazing human being and we are lucky to have u on this planet. and a GREAT INTERVIEWER
10000%
I watched Raja perform live here in Japan together with Denali and Pangina a year ago. And as much as I was enjoying and living for the high energy performances Denali and Pangina did, I was also living for Raja in her fashionable, slow-tempo, and engaging performances. The way I almost lost it when she came down the stage and passed by where I was. It was electrifying to see an eye-con like her so up close!
Good Lord, what a thoughtful, erudite and appealing segment between these two. Both of you come off brilliant and contemplative… Profound and engaged… What a great interview.
Maddy and Raja talking about their TV glow makes me feel so happy and seen❤
The way Maddy is able to connect to everyone of her guest is a true talent, and watching this episode was so delightful
I don't know how it's possible, but I fall more in love with Raja every single time I see them 😍
Same. Raja is just a top tier, elite human being.
I never knew that my love and respect for these two individuals could grow!! Ugh OBSESSED with this episode!!
This one of the best interviews and the list is long. Maddy is getting better and better. Was nice learning more about him. Definitely an enigma.
This episode is so wholesome and warm . Idk why this is so comforting for me rn lol
Can't believe Jeff Goldblum interviewed Maddy Morphosis
Maddy just did Raja's best interview and Raja just did Maddie's best interview !
I like a serious Maddy too ❤
I love how respectful, fluid, and profound this conversation was.
Could listen to raja rambling all day, this was such a lovely interview 💜
"Okay thats all the time we have" then continue for 20 minutes
Raja looks INCREDIBLE omg. and well done Maddy serving as always
I love that Maddy and Raja are besties now!
omg Raja is ADORABLE.
I always feel so seen when raja talks about her spirituality - exactly how I feel 🙌
