Why isn't the Manipuri people asking for President's rule, if there's so much agitation around that's beyond control now?
Meiteis origin is Thailand, you don't settle in Imphal plain all of a sudden, you migrated from somewhere else , the same goes for Kukis. Just because you are majority, you don't have the rights to call others refugees

Meiteis are the original population of Manipur. Britishers settled some tribe from Burma called Kuki to weaken the Manipuri kingdom and use divide and rule policy. Since the arrival of the kukis they are asking for more and more rights. The original Manipuri people, Meiteis are getting more and more limited to only Imphal valley.
There are also reports that Meiteis can't buy lands out of Imphal valley.
