I am new to options but I have used the same strategy on 25th Feb but as I am new to options and I have more fear in me I sold really out of the money option which was 36000PE, so I knew I would make less money but I would I have more peace of mind. and I will keep selling more out of the money options until I get more experience in the market as well as options.

Thanks for the informative video. But I have two comments. The margin requirement for selling 600 PE & CE is 40.38 L and not 20 L as mentioned. The strategy of a close PE & CE legs (with no adjustments) will put you off very badly, in most of the market conditions in 2022 like a V shaped move (when both your legs would have hit SL, resulting in a disaster with a loss of 600 * (300 + 200) = 300,000 ? Even in a trending market, you could loose 600 * (300 - (60 + 40)) = 120,000 or 600 * (200 - (60+40)) = 60,000 depending on which of the legs hit SL ? Or am I missing any of your points here ?
i think the best way is to use SL with hedging. It will not only decrease your margin but also prevent huge losses. So i always use both SL and hedging as a safety net.
its not ideal to keep the stop loss for trading options when the markets are highly volatile, one bad day will wipe out all your previous profits, always good to have hedging strategy instead stop loss

Sir, I am also a IT engineer and a big big follower of you and saw your almost all videos and also have personal recording.......BUT Very first time you disappointed with your video..... In my view, many times, selling OTM would be ok but if it goes against you even a single time will wipe all your money... and that Happens Always.... Selling OTM at 80, will become 100, 120 and with one spike it will be double and so on.. and if you already putting a SL of 200 for a option which you bought in 80/70/60 then means taking more than double risk of what you would earn.... I personally felt, when price start moving in your unexpected direction, premiums starts increasing like anything, bcoz everyone wants to Square off (quit) their positions..... Rest I respect you a lot.... only few UA-camrs i like, and you are one of my favorite...

I'm a begginer to Options trying to learn the concepts... I'm a bit confused... In the example you have shown the spot kept decreasing which means the OTM strikes kept moving towards ATM.. shouldn't the OTM premium inflate on put side? Can you please tell me why did the premium go so low?
If stop was hit, the loss would be around 3 Lakhs for your quantity as per your trigger price. Risk reward is not favorable .. Definitely you are fortunate on that day..
Naked short strangle is beneficial only if the market is sideways with less volatility. High volatility sideways will show high MTM swings and directional move will give u loss.

Side ways Market is good for options sellers and if suppose it goes trendy, then options sellers will face huge losses if they don't have SL.

Apart from Stop Loss deployment - can you suggest some ways to manage the trade if market goes against your view

This is not an actual issue. There is no difficulty finding the buyer. The next day you will be out of the trade at max profit.

Naked short strangle is beneficial only if the market is sideways with less volatility. High volatility sideways will show high MTM swings and directional move will give u loss.
