Google Drive and OneDrive Now Available in ChatGPT
ChatGPT-4o Google Drive and OneDrive Integration Rolling Out
OpenAI announced that its latest GPT-4o model now integrates with Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, allowing users to directly access and process files from these cloud storage services within ChatGPT. This integration is being rolled out gradually to paid ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users.
New Capabilities with Cloud Integration
With this integration, ChatGPT-4o can read through various file formats like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets etc. more efficiently. Users can upload files directly from Google Drive or OneDrive into the ChatGPT interface.
Interactive Charts and Tables
ChatGPT-4o now supports creating interactive charts (bar, line, pie, scatter plots) and tables that can be customized and expanded within the conversation. Users can hover over chart elements, ask questions, select colors etc. before downloading for use.
Privacy Considerations
OpenAI stated that it will not train AI models using data uploaded by ChatGPT Enterprise and Teams users. For Plus users, data is used by default but they can opt-out from training.
This new cloud integration aims to streamline workflows by allowing users to directly work with their cloud files within the ChatGPT interface, saving time and effort. The interactive visualizations and ability to customize charts/tables further enhances ChatGPT's utility for data analysis and presentations.
