I think I speak for everyone when I say it's about freaking time we got some X-Men
Days of Future past was such a gem. 2014 was really an incredible year for comic book movies.
Yup. Hopefully same can be said for 2024. Cap4 is delayed to 2025 so Deadpool 3 from Marvel and Joker 2 from DC. If Kraven and Venom 3 are good then that is a cherry on top
2014 gave us The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Days of Future Past among others...what a year it was!
@@Yung_HerbsWhile Captain America Winter Solider released Marvel was at his peak as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy
Really loved they used Beast as first official X-Men character. Especially that version. Everyone loved Kelsey's Beast (and for good reason), to see a version of him back is a joy. The Marvels was pretty good too. Some weird stuff that didn't land for me but overall, enjoyed it. Probably a 7/10. Might see it again at theater
I don't recall anyone talking about how much they loved Beast when these movies came out. Seriously what dimension are you from?
@@Lindsey_LockwoodIt's always been general consensus, everyone loved Kelsey Grammar's rendition so much more than Nicolas Holt from First Class.
@@Lindsey_Lockwoodback then it wasn’t like pulling teeth to get great acting from the main cast so it wasn’t really news to talk about it. Not to mention it’s just like the Dark Knight trilogy to me. Heath Ledger and Christian Bale get all the shine but Aaron Eckhart was absolutely phenomenal but not many people talk about him
The entire movie theatre collectively gasped when Dr. Hank appeared!! Ah.. Cannot wait to see how this develops
A LOT of people are hating that Beast is CGI, but personally, I think he looks great. All he needs is that Thanos touch, to look absolutely real. Besides, Grammer is 70 and there’s no way he’d be half as convincing as this is
Oh yeah there's no way he would put on that makeup again
Seeing Kelsey grammer come back is such nostalgia to hear his voice seriously an underrated actor I grew up most notably as sideshow Bob from the Simpsons love him
I bet you in deadpool 3 deadpool mentioned he kill Sideshow Bob.
Oh oh remember when he tried to touch that boy and his hand turned normal? Remember?
Oh remember when he worked for the government because even though he was blue, he was smart? Oh I remember.
Love how he looks more comic accurate to beast too
And Monica's mom showing up as Binary
I love how comic accurate beast looks in this. He looked amazing in the last stand obviously but there's something about his look here that's just even better. I think it's his tusks or the shape of his head/fur or something but he just looks perfect
@@firstlast9846 hating on CGI is getting old, it looks good, why cant y'all admit that lmao rather than corny face paint that makes a normal human look blue with fur lol with CGI you can actually make him look like a beast. what's wrong with that...
@@zabronzkee731 people need to go back to observing movies as a art and stop breaking down cgi. I love movies from the 50s up to now.they beg for cgi so much, they are now trying to incorporate a.i. in everything.
CGI. Beast is full-CGI / mo-cap. That’s the only way to accurately translate certain comic book characters to live-action.
I think Logan takes place in a timeline created by the events of Days of Future Past. The wolverine of DFP and the Wolverine of Logan are both our Wolverine, one on a timeline where they won in DFP and one on a timeline where they lost in DFP
Logan is its own thing, its hardly in the x men timeline, days of future past def its own thing
@@kadegetslaid634buddy even if it's canon what's the problem. It's almost set 100-150 years after the X-Men origins of Wolverine. Logan lived a happy life and performed for almost a lot of time, even 20 years on screen, and still is coming back thanks to multiversal time travel
@uncannyroaches5933 its set in 2027, Logan did NOT live a happy life, like at all
I don't think any spiders will be on young avengers, but I would love if Miles was on it. We definitely need/deserve Miles/Kamala friendship in the MCU
I want miles too but I kinda don't want him to be introduced yet, kinda want Peter to have his own trilogy solo
Can’t wait for the next upcoming kamala and miles team up in the comics in January.
I feel like Im probably too easy to please. I went into this movie with extremely low expectations on my enjoyment of it. But I actually had fun with this, it has a lot of issues but If I can have fun in a movie sometimes thats all that matters to me.
People act like every little plot hole thing in literal superhero movies which is every superhero movie ever ruins their entire life. This was a fun movie that I came into with low expectations and got a great superhero movie experience that gave great character development, fun fight scenes, not too much humor but enough where it was enjoyable and set up a ton for the future!
@@everythinglakers1713 Plenty of super hero movies don't have plot holes.
I love that we're getting so many versions of Lashana/Maria just being ICONIC AF! Genuinely one of my favourite new MCU actors and characters 😊
I've also noticed that Maria/Binary is wearing the Quantum Bands, which are gold instead of silver. Probably this is the reason why Dar-Benn using the bangels together created a tear in space-time to THIS specific universe ... which I don't think is related in any ways to the Fox X-Men universe, but a totally other reality.
@@lucagz6481 *singer's x-men universe
and it's also convoluted enough under fox, disney is just gonna ruined it even more instead of just recasting.
The young avengers should be a Disney plus series but with 12 episodes and multiple seasons. Still keep the continuity of the main timeline but run it in a Netflix series fashion. No more telling 1 story over 6 episodes. Make it a law and order type series
I couldn't agree more. Years of setup in the movies mean that they should have their own missions, their own stories to tell, and they shouldn't be a miniseries. Just make it a show we can regularly tune into.
Agree. Make them solve 'smaller' problems or issues, develop their characters and relationships with each other then, occasionally connect them to major characters via movie and eventually, to the round-up movies such as Infinity War and Endgame. Then goes the passing of the mantle.
Just cuz someone stumbles and loses their way, doesn’t mean they’re lost forever is heavy and an appreciated line!!!
LET’S GO!!!!!!
That post credit scene with Beast and Maria Rambeau’s the sickest thing I’ve ever seen, and I’m so glad the X-Men teased one of their members for a future avengers movie.
The Binary outfit is amazing. The o.g. Binary was an X-men character version of Carol Danvers after Avengers Annual #10. A boss version of Carol Danvers that was a close friends with Logan before he was an X-men. Loved the Beast.
If they actually go there and get Rogue to get Marvel's powers....that's the Rogue I grew up with
The story arc where the Brood made Carol into Binary was one of the first comics I ever read. :-)
Responsible for one of the hardest punches in comic book history.....
Iman did so well in this movie....her personality really came through
Maybe a hot take, but I liked the way they handled the cameo 🤷
The fight choreography was so good with Dar-Benn giving all three heroes a good battle and the set pieces for Hala and Aladna was so beautiful
All the bad reviews for this movie had the unintended effect of me enjoying the film because my expectations were severely lowered and watched the film reluctantly.
Is Kelsey Grammer a big fan of the franchise or something? He REALLY wanted to come back as Beast.
His job for the facial capture was probably 100x easier for him too. Easy money
@@WhiskerDooz Face capture + VA essentially. I can't wait to see it on the big screen
he's really going the Harrison Ford route of revisiting all his old characters, isn't he, between this and the Frasier reboot.
just wanna say the scene where they was practicing the switching was cool to me personally
Binary is also wearing the quantum bands !
The marvels actually had so little cultural impact I didn't even know the X-Men where in the MCU until 7 months later.
That sounds like a you problem. I just got caught up recently, due to a personal situation, but got spoilered less than a month after it came out, despite everybody I know trying real hard to be careful. People in normal circles were so excited by this awesome movie, it was inevitable. I guess if you only are connected to freedom-hating bigots, you wouldn't know how big The Marvels was. Weird and sad.
@@docAvid314 you can like the movie all you want I don’t really care but you personally liking it doesn’t just magically mean it wasn’t a bomb, marvel lost money
@@Torpanimations you are changing the subject, a subject which you introduced. Profits are not the same thing as cultural impact. This movie did a ton of world building for the MCU, setting important plot pieces in place, and did it seamlessly, without sacrificing its own story and pacing. It was lots of fun. I don't know anybody in real life who saw it and didn't love it - just loud people online.
I rewatched it recently and loved it. Some films require a second viewing to fully appreciate them.
Also: Young Avengers Assemble!!!
i actually liked the movie…not everyone will, but it was a lot better than i expected
I don’t get what people were complaining about. 🤦🏾♂️ The movie wasn’t bad at all.
Definitely was a better movie than expected and fr this is a great set up movie
If I see Dr. Strange Shang Chi and Wolverine fighting together I think I'll cry.
"I found it under my couch" was my favourite line in the movie. I was still laughing on the way home.
I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. The chemistry between the Marvels was so good. I encourage everyone to go out and see this film. THE ENDING AND POST CREDIT SCENE OMG.
@@smitjimmers144 I encourage you to stop judging others for what they like. Learn the fact that not everyone will also dislike whatever you dislike
I just saw it today and it was really good. However, there are lots of male viewers out there that are intimidated by three - actually four - strong women. They are never going to have courage to watch the movie.
Honestly wasn’t a bad movie, plot kinda drifted off at times but overall good movie! Was satisfied and it set up a lot!!
I love kamala khan team ups in the comics but I still hope we get a season 2 of ms marvel, but mcu just give us more kamala khan.
please can you tell me how to make money from youtube comments please?
The plot drifted? How was there time for the plot to drift for you in a 1:45 movie?
I'm still inclined to think this is a start and maybe they will follow through with making a parallel of the comics where WhiteVision helps bring them together in VisionQuest.
seriously where has white vision been lol it'd be nice to see him come back and have a big impact like the one you describe.
despite allllllll the negative news and jokes making fun of this film, i truly enjoyed it alot. people need to stop comparing to Endgame cause that built-up from many movies and characters from. each marvel characters has their own unique strengths n each films or tvseries has their own plot twist, can't be the same fight scenes and high point each time.
The movie stunk u just a fan hit and don’t understand 90% think it stinks and no one cares for these charcters
Enjoyed the movie, hope people give it a chance. Couple of cheesy scenes but loved the interactions between the 3 main characters. Brie Larson’s best work in the MCU by far.
Just seen the movie, 100% agree! Loved the interactions between the characters, really enjoyed it. I went in expecting a mediocre movie and honestly might watch it in the cinema again, I loved it so much
felt like a different carol danvers from captain marvel film and endgame lol, like a straight 180
I clapped in joy when I saw Beast in end credits scene at theater. Binary first appearance is Uncanny X-men 164. I have that issue.
This and Deadpool 3 being after future past makes the most sense. Also in Logan we see in the comic wolverines suit had sleeves like in the dp3.
Did you notice that Binary had BOTH bengals/quantum bands
I thought the movie was fun. I went in with low expectations, but I actually enjoyed it. The story was choppy at some points but the character interactions were fun to see
Agree completely. Was not looking forward to it really, but understand everything is apart of this next phase, so I went to watch it. I left very satisfied. One of the better projects since End Game for sure!
It's fun but there were a lot of useless scenes. Like the whole Nick fury stuff, very Disney Channel. And the switching powers concept is cool but it's not an episode of Charmed. It felt fluffy, not very threatening.
@@ndo533I mean not every movie needs a multiversal war. They were litterally losing the solar systems sun. Legit would’ve killed most of the planet even our human superheroes
@ndo533 Did you not watch the skrull lose their home planet and how many people? Fym not threatening 😂
coming back after the release of deadpool and wolverine makes it just so much better that they absolutely did not leave alone logan's death
After seeing the movie, the lyrics “Another dimension, another dimension” from the Beastie Boys’ “Intergalactic” shows it was foreshadowing the mid-credits scene…so fun!
I saw the movie
I liked it
It's best not to pay attention to critics and see the movie yourself.
Agreed. Negative comments are hard to ignore though. If you can get past that, then you can enjoy the movie.
Or not, but at least one can be better informed...
The jump points are a network of the bangles’ energy interacting. Monica touched it and through this energy simultaneously tapping into Kamala’s bangle and being absorbed/analyzed by Carol. Also, Carol is a Disney Princess!!
Singa and dances, good with animals, saves the day, was previously cursed. Checks all boxes.
5:43 I assume if Wiccan returns in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries then we'll probably be getting Speed at some point too. I wonder how they'll reintroduce his character tho if it's not alongside Wiccan. I'm also curious if we'll see Hulkling in a future MCU property.
@@toonasag Yeah. Wiccan (Billy Maximoff) and Hulking are married in the comics I believe.
I saw the movie yesterday and really liked it. Good acting, sympathetic characters (Kamalas geek-outs a adorable), great visuals (I absolutely recocommend the 3D experience) and an interesting story about guilt and revenge. My only small issue is that one or two scenes felt they end a little bit permaturely but that's it. Overall it is fun, and we can need that right now. (I will post this review on other channels that I subscribed to)
Hear me out, I believe this whole multiverse saga is basically a “throw everyone in the pot and we’ll decide what stays and what goes during the final stage” type thing 😂
Feige is in a unique position. If he does things right, he could reignite the fire for the MCU and kill all of the talk about the MCU dying. They basically did a good job of working around all of the licensing issue with words etc. but now with all of that settled, they can make the MCU as originally intended. Feige is a known comic book fan so I would put my trust that he’d make this as spectacular as I always hoped
Exactly, they play their cards right it’ll be absolutely awesome. It’s why I didn’t want the MCU to end after endgame, because there’s still SO MUCH left that they haven’t even done yet. We’ve been getting so much mediocrity recently though so I understand why people were tuning out
He has too much on his plate. In the beginning of the MCU he was able to put all his attention into each film, now with the films and TV series he's expected to produce too much content every year. If he could focus on just the movies and let someone else handle the shows the films could get back to having that "Marvel" touch.
If beast was wearing the X-Men suit here like he does in the animated show and the comics,I wonder if all the other xmen do to. Would be interesting to see Cyclops sport the blue and yellow suit or wolverine too.
@@xavierramirez1911 We don’t know if the wolverine in that movie is the same one that’s part of the xmen in The Marvels post credits

Just because u liked it doesn't mean everybody who didn't like it is just saying that for views and attention
U do not represent every single movie goer In the world
So people can’t have opinions now? So what if I don’t like the movie? I’m trying to get views?
You're extremely naive if you think they're not churning these crap superhero movies out as quickly and as cheaply as they possibly can in order to continue bilking you.
@@Thejonkler123some people are just easily pleased. It doesn't take much to satisfy them. A lot of people like shit EVEN when the creators come out at a later time and say how much they didn't like it or what they would have improved narrative wise. Some people will defend rubbish no matter what.
That Ms Marvel Recruiting scene was my fav tbh, always was curious how they would start this storyline, wasn't disappointed and even cried laughing lmao
I've seen it during the premier here in our country. It really is a fun movie and a good transition to the next phase imo. It's like the calm before the storm 😅
I think it's clear they are going to recon the multiverse into 3 segments.
1) magic based multiverse (doctor strange, wanda)
2) artifact based (10 rings, quantum bands)
3) technology based (Kang, antman)
The secret wars battle will be between those who don't want multiverse (Kangs, other villains/aliens, potentially some x-men like how in spider verse Miguel is against the multiverse) and those who want it (Loki, avengers, etc).
The key question in all of this is where do eternals / celestials fit into all of this. It's clear where but the set up for them is way to inconsistent
Has it been confirmed whether Eternals itself takes place in a different Universe? I know they mention the snap but I have to believe the giant Celestial poking out of the ground somewhere in the ocean would have at least been mentioned at some point
@@hooky17personally the Eternals movie doesn’t translate well with a generic American audience. Think it should be its own niche thing like dune or something very exposition heavy even if they do come back I doubt most marvel fans will watch
If only they hadn't mentioned the snap in Eternals, they could've "solved" that problem completely by showing a flash of them as one of the separate universes in Multiverse of Madness. All the questions around where were they during the Thanos stuff and why no one else in MCU sees the big hand in the planet just go away if they are their own universe.
I loved that they mirrored the Monica's blip scene with Maria in the multivariate right down to the textured blanket that was similar to Monica's sweater. That's detail.
Now I want them to do an X-men film with the cast from that X-Men Days of Future Past before Secret Wars.
XMen is coming!!!!

By far my favorite thing about it was Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel. That character is now 2/2 with me.
Carol was Binary during the majority of the 80s & 90s in the mainstream comics universe.
Great movie. Loved the post credit scene. This movie is like reading comic book #1 in a series. It's setting up for something bigger.
Yes, I COMPLETELY AGREE with this take!! That's EXACTLY what I felt, too. Felt exactly like a comic.

Super freaked seeing beast honestly. Love x men and was waiting for the cross over
Binary (Carol Danvers) first appeared in X-Men 164 in December of 1982.
Still think it’s wild the US in the MCU thought it a good idea to declare war on.. Thor. And his people. That’ll go over quite well.
I mean... they are clearly setting up the X-Men Universe and main universe to merge, then we get X-Men vs the people, with some non-mutants siding with the people.
That movie satisfied me so much it was really fun to watch
I loved the movie!😍 that's the path I image for the MCU and I hope they continue that path!

It was actually not bad! Especially the end credit scene
This is a very fine and fine movie. Better then the first one IMO. I think we all knew it wasn’t going to be the movie to save the MCU so let’s just move on from all that crazy talk and look to the future, which this movie starts to set up nicely

Go see it and form your own opinion. I watched it and had a good time.
I was hoping they used Days of Future Past to bring the Fox characters and if this is what they are doing I am so hyped, it can have some variations to that like using the comic accurate costumes but I am so hyped to see those characters interact with the MCU characters, like seeing Wolverine and Hulk together.
