Hands down, Champions 2023 was the best! The hardships teams faced to reach the finals, the emotions that made even the most biased fans feel for the opponent, the top-tier production, the incredible soundtrack, & man, the walkouts-pure creativity at its peak! Also, the best team roasters IMO in the history of Val
@@butterandbreadsticks The theme reaches a climax then it calms down into what sounded like a much more emotional version of the ending of "Ticking Away", every note carries a deep and powerful energy, along with the ticking sound of a clock. The entire stadium comes into a halt, every lighting elements blacked out then they started pulsing in accordance with the notes. At the centre of it all, spotlights above the players, the coaches and the trophy, 2 teams that have made it this far, Evil Geniuses and Paper Rex. One that fought tooth and nails time and time again to prove to the world that they are not just nobodies, they are, in fact, world class players. The other, a team that has experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows and with the soon departure of one of their players, this is the last time they'll play together. Evil Geniuses have failed to defeat a titan in Masters Tokyo, yet that titan is no where to be found now, they are the one standing on that final stage again. Paper Rex have had an incredible run at Masters Copenhagen, outclassing the then considered world class teams, yet they crumbled to the pressure and lost to a dark horse, but now, they are the one standing on that final stage again. Both teams have went through thick and thin ever since the start of VCT, there's not much time left for the both of them, this is their second and only chance to lift that trophy and claim glory, to be engrained in VALORANT history, the clock is ticking away. Chills.
ngl while i like the current stage theme, i hope in 2025 that they take some inspiration from the stage designs of 2022 with the screens, kinda miss them
2022 was by far my favorite year. Idk if it’s because I’m a die heart OpTic fan but everything about that year was amazing. Just wish Reykjavik had a crowd
While it's not amazing that Fnatic were booed at Lock-in grand finals, i don't think we will get a Valorant crowd cheering as passionately as the Sao Paolo crowd cheered for Loud that day ever again.
Even though lock in has the worst crowd, you have to admit that brazilian fans cheering so loudly when LOUD won a round or a duel, it was dope. We will never see something like that again.
You dont know the meaning of “home crowd advantage” the crowd was there to be the 6th player, to make FNATIC nervous and afraid of playing against them, and you can see that at least that worked
ngl they could do the champions 2024 stage, but mirrored to both sides like the 23 stage for champions 2025. That hourglass shape would be insane for visuals, and they could show the trophy on the floor-screen thing during the opening ceremony

LOUD AND OPTIC 🥶
I have to say Champions 2023 was the best by far, best teams (story-wise), best crowd, best production, best anthem and soundtracks and best walkouts
yeah having all the players face outwards with the spotlight shining down on them still gives me chills

Why? The stages in 2022 looks so weird. So much lighting and screens everywhere and there wasnt even any good walkout.
@@zag3706 imo the robotic announcements and the rigid-ish production, plus the half faces of the players makes it look so cool
i love this video, when i watch vct, one of the things i love is the walkouts
