Ours break every couple years, is this normal? Kinda annoying when you’re cooking and suddenly the infinite switch go haywire and we accidentally overcook the food.
How do you select a 'universal' replacement part when the both the original and recommended replacement parts have been discontinued by the manufacturer, and are no longer available? When I spoke to a tech at a 'universal' replacement part manufacturer, he couldn't match the original part ID, and asked me for a different ID that should start with "INF", but there was no such ID on the original switch.
Is the infinite switch universal or different for each oven. I have a whirpool stove, and one of the coils stays on all the time even if it is on a low setting
