The music is set to a "habanera" rhythm which recalls Carlota's Spanish roots. The unrelenting beat is representative of obsesssion: Carlota's obsession with her lost child which led to her suicide, Madeleine's ultimately false obsession with the story of Carlota which led to her death and finally Scotty's obsession with Madeleine (with saving her and later with resurrecting her) which leads to his undoing and Judy's demise. The spiral that is Vertigo.

Direction de regards et musique qui ne mène nulle part. Fascinant. Découpage et rythme parfait.

This is the coolest piece of music for any motion picture! Well, my favorite anyway! Bernard Herrmann composed a fantastic sound track all together!
Absolutely great scene
The footsteps sound effects is satisfying

Not sure I like these choppy little snippets of one of the great movies. It loses context.
