I would be curious to know why. There are two sides to every story. I saw both and made an educated decision to continue to give lead and steel my business. Not trying to be combative, just trying to understand.
I was gonna say this seems pretty skewed in favor of making the LP-1 look good. There wasn't a single drop for the LP-1 that landed directly on the optic. I'm gonna steer clear of this. I'll take my romeo and aimpoint over this all day.
FocusTripp is a legit no bS reviewer. You dropped the ball with how you responded to him. Nice edit on the drop of the lp-1 btw 😂 didn’t see that with other optics and also didn’t drop it directly on its lid like the others. Failed
Very nice test. It's always good to have more destructive tests to compare all the models against, so it's no longer small sample sizes. Good work guys.
Am I the only one that noticed the lp1 wasn't "sandwiched" on the concrete? The rifle landed on its side both times. Still good to survive that but it didn't land on the optic directly. The vortex was sandwiched 🤷
@@briang7826 eh, I beg to differ. Still, rounded corners don't catch concrete as easily as pointy corners, but we're not terribly invested in this. Just a fun experiment for the tube.
The only one that exists is a China made one from Vortex so it'll pretty obvious they can get their hands on it as well since every manufacturer is out sourcing to china.
First off, I own one of these from the original pre-order. Hoplopfheil said it best, the marketing is setting off alarm bells. All the durability testing videos seemed to be just enough off/skewed in favor of their own product. Ex. competitors get dropped straight down (12 to 6) while theirs lands 7-8. Not 6 and fall on it's side. They're landing on their side. I like the company and their intent. I'm looking forward to their ACOG and Elcan competitor but I want them to do it right, not right enough to market well.
@LeadSteel you're welcome. No one is expecting an indestructible product. These big companies have been resting on their laurels for too long and it's nice if you can shake things up but people will have an issue if tests are deliberately skewed in your products favor or if you over promise.
everything online including sig's website says the 8t shroud is titanium. i didn't realize the box does say steel. guess i'll stick a magnet to mine to see if it's ti or steel.
Your products are speaking for themselves. The price point to features made me choose this over the Eotech even before hearing about all the delaminating problems Eotech has
I can't wait to get the Promethean LP-1. Literally can't imagine getting another optic. Super durable, good looking, and the best quality I have seen from any other optic. Worth every penny.
Could you guys built an improved hood for the EOTech with all the knowledge you gained from your own optic? A great way to make money while telling your competition that you are better at building their own product than they are.
Seems odd that you’re attempting to call someone a contrarian to discredit them after attempting to bribe them for a good review Obviously they’re less biased than you If your optic broke on their test you should just own it These tests introduce a lot of variables that cannot be controlled perfectly
If you're referring to a recent UA-camr, please note that this video was recorded weeks ago. That individual isn't the only content creator that's leveraged chronic contrarianism to sell engagement and affiliates. We've had a few of these bitter types try and hijack the brand thus far, and only expect more as we grow. As for said content creator, our response was clear. We have not once offered or insinuated any compensation for positive reviews. Pretty lackluster business move, and an even more lackluster attempt at damaging a startup for views. What we offered was a T&E program for our prototype/pre-development optics while under NDA. Real world, high volume testing is crucial for optics development and we currently employ several alpha and beta prototype optics to various competition shooters, law enforcement, and special teams. It would be a selfish ask to have someone fund ammo and provide feedback for free. As they say, the best lies have a bit of truth sprinkled into them.
@Lead & Steel Can you guys test the Romeo8T against an Airsoft with around 2 Joules from around 30 meters than 20 meters and than 10 meters or so? Would be awesome to see if the glass breaks due to BB‘s impact or if it can withstand that….
Its a beautiful work of art however It really is unfortunate that he showed the actual testing from a fast- forward soundless perspective which really makes it hard scrutinize whats actually going on, and the other red flag is that he did not show the Sig or the Vortex Undamaged BEFORE the drops. The lens damage could have been easily done off camera before any drops. Ive seen the UH-1 and Romeo 8t take some vicious drops on concrete with the glass undamaged, Pew Pew Tactical had to actually shoot the SIg with a 22magnum to finally put it out of service. (As a side note he said the Vortex does not need an objective or OCULAR lens for the holographic tech, my understanding is that holograms do use the ocular lens to transmit the image). Anyway not saying this was definitely faked, but the poor presentation of the testing renders the results inconclusive.
I wonder, would it be possible to make a 3-5x adjustable magnifier? Or am I taking out my ass? I guess the magnification adjustment would have to be where your diopter would normally be. Idk maybe it's a dumb idea, w/o a diopter adjustment it probably just simply won't work with some ppl's eye
@@joshuabruce9920 sadly it would need to be about the size of a compact LPVO to offer that capability. At that point people would just get a standard magnified optic. However, we do have a nice compromise soon, with some added function over traditional magnifiers 🤓
I couldn’t agree more with the gentleman’s statement about the focus Tripp video ! Very scummy if you ask me and would never purchase anything from your company .
be careful with any mean comments you might get a cease and desist letter (or a bribe)

I just found out about your guys optic because of a giveaway. After seeing the videos I'll gladly give you my business over the other companies.👏

Ummm what magnifier is being used in video 👀 looks suspiciously similar to the lp1 latch
