Awesome playing Marty! Smooth as silk haha if you wouldn't mind is there anyway you could comment me back and describe the strumming pattern in a Down & Up way? Thanks a lot, you're the best! Can't wait to watch many more tutorials of yours! Peace!
+Ty Smith Thank you I'm glad you think so. I'm not much into teaching strum patterns as I feel that the player should try and make it their own a little as they get more comfortable with playing but to answer you question, here it goes: It's a little strum with lots of little ups and downs the way I do it but it looks something like this:d d u d d u d d d d d u d d d u d d d u d d u d d d d d u d d d u dAgain, try and make it you own a little and with practice that will come easier, good luck and take care
+PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes First off you're great, big help! you just told us what the strumming pattern is but where do you change chords, like on the up do you change?
But even if yoj try to come up with the strumming pattern isnt there a chance of messing up the sound, etc cuz what if its a strumming pattern that doesnt go with the song, i only have a month and a half playing and i cant plau a song yet without the strumming pattern@partymartyeasyguitartunes1711
+dirtybird Thanx, I'm glad you think so. I suggest going into your local music store and playing a few in your price range. ....The gist of the song people miss.....the Ventura Freeway- a huge, huge interstate, cuts right thru neighborhoods...Reseda is in the heart of the San Fernando Valley....Home of the "Valley Girls"....a type of niche of American girls, who are spoiled, rich, nice- looking and drug- riddled.....The Freeway 101 heads out to the ocean where the beaches are....I mean ambience and mystique in the song shoot to the moon....
Tom Petty plays it with the capo on the first not the third. His back up player usually had the capo on the third. Either way its cool way to play without a capo. Check out my cover of this song if you like.
