Yeah, I agree. This is like when people were calling crookst's wood challenge fail the wr end enter... If you don't have the materials to finish the run, I don't think it counts. That said, he could have technically gotten sheep off of the blind or string from a library so you could argue that he did have the materials required from the bastion since he could get wool elsewhere... Tough to say

wait why couldn't you make a portal, food reset and get back? or maybe instead do it in the nether with an anchor. then you could just pray for a good blind where you only need 1 portal haha, it'd be a fine gamble for such an insane seed
basically takes the exact coordinates at which an eye is thrown and the angle of the throw, then it calculates to which chunk its pointing (eyes always point towards northwest corner of a chunk in which stronghold starter room spawns). It's all maths that can be done manually, but bot is easier, faster and more reliable. Hope this helped
