Malevich's "Black Square" put an end to the depiction of reality and laid the foundations for the development of all contemporary art. Before the First World War, Hobbes' ideas reached their limit, as historians say, the spirit of war was simply in the air. 1911 Gioconda is stolen, the French blame the Germans for everything and France is going to declare war on Germany. The feeling of the inevitability of the approaching end was expressed by Malevich with his Black Square. In the future, his ideas will serve as an impetus for Victor Vasarely and the creation of a new style in Op-art art - on the basis of which all computer graphics are built. We are on the verge of discovering a quantum computer and light plays the main role here, so "Victory over black..." ua-cam.com/video/ALW8-tclRHk/v-deo.html is inevitable.
Sorry Aleks, but after the declarations of wars between Austria and Serbia, and on August 1, 1914 between Germany and Russia, France mobilised at its turn, then Germany invaded... neutral luxembourg and adressed an ultimatum to neutral Belgium and finally on August 3 one to France (to remain neutral and give up 3 cities including Verdun), and since France simply replied it will "preserve its interests", i.e. the 3 cities, so didn't accept, that's Germany which declared war to France the same day. Art Basel is really impressive and the other 2023 video of Marc (top galerien VIP vernissage) shows an uncredible and unrivalled number of grand formats of big names recognisable every 20 seconds (since I recognised 31 artists in 5 mn) ! Thank you for this visit that I cannot afford to do.

@@aleksbellov Hi Aleks. Is your name BELLOV Russian too ? At which minute does your work appear in the video of Art Basel ? I will tell you what I think about it. From 2016 to 2019, about 320... pieces of contemporary Russian art were generously given to the national museum of modern art in Paris (MNAM=Beaubourg) by Russian collectors including the Potanin and Tsukanov foundations and that's myself... who added the list of some of these artists on the page of the MNAM on Wikipedia with : Art non-conformiste / Sots Art : Ilya et Emilia Kabakov, Erik Boulatov, Komar et Melamid, Vladimir Nemukhin, Dmitri Prigov, Oscar Rabin, Edouard Steinberg, Boris Orlov, Anatoly Sverev , Grisha Bruskine, Sergei Mironenko, Leonid Sokov, Alexander Brodsky, Vladimir Yakovlev, Alexander Kosolapov, Timur Novikov, Lidia Masterkova, Yuri Zlotnikov, Oleg Kulik ! The MNAM keeps only 3 paintings of Malevich : but at leats one of his famous suprematist 1915 show, the "Black cross", visible on the photos of the show.
These art shows can be entertaining ..like freak shows, Ripley's Believe it or Not, or carnival midways. People looking for quality just walk on by.... This is the bottom of the barrel. Beauty is suspect. Only the bizarre, weird and grotesque claim any serious consideration. We judge the amount of time elapsed from a fixed point in time.
