Thank you for these guides they’re the only ones that exist in English 😭 Please please do one on combat! How weapon damage is calculated and what the different stats on a weapon do… What is +dmg, +hit? What’s the multiplier at the bottom? I can’t tell what gear is better or worse lol. Thanks!
1.Let take an example of pantsu dmg: "2d8 + 3" maximiun dmg you can deal: (2 x 8 = 16 dmg) + 3 = 19 dmg. So, the temporarily biggest dmg at the moment is 19 dmg. You can deal more if your strength is higher. 2. About materials dmg and PV / DV, take a look at here: ylvapedia.wiki/wiki/Elin:Materials
It's set out as "2d3+1" right? Simply it's 2 rolls of a 3 sided die + 1 damage, the X 2.00 is an increase due to your skill I think it changes the damage roll into 4d6+2 for my example. +/- hit is the inherent accuracy of the weapon, pen is how much armour it will ignore. Take my whole comment with a grain of salt as I'm using my knowledge of ELONA to answer, i look to equip stuff with a high first number and +dmg number it gives higher minimum and average damage, the consensus however was that higher armour pen was the go to, gear with extra effects is also something to look out for
Thank you for the guides! I just started playing yesterday and you helped me learn a lot of things about the game that'll take me days/hours to figure out.

Another great guide from you, Kessel! Thank you for making this. It would be fantastic if you could do a let's play because I love how clearly you explain things.🙂
Thank you for the suggestion. I might do it at some point. It would be cool if we could come up with some end goal for the playthough. So far I'm mostly hanging around my base and all the cities in the world. I'm not sure how exciting that would be to watch ;)
It's worth noting the burdens weight is based on your carry weight. If u are worshipping opatos of the earth make sure you prepare for an incredibly heavy ball. Clear your inventory and unequip carry weight boosting gear before switching gods.
@@Rainner_Von_Kessel Also worth mentioning that most companions will switch gods with you but apostles will not. they will remain loyal to whatever god they belong too. meaning that the faction weapons you gain from following a god are often best in slot for the companion of the same god. I havnt tested this aside from opatos but i do believe if you give the cat the lucky dagger then switch gods you can still get the luck boost. I could be wrong but its worth exploring.

Thanks a ton for these videos, they are a life saver Could you perhaps do a guide on tourism and heirlooms, room quality etc, touching on the policies, how to efficiently raise your tourism value and what heirlooms even are? I'm accumulating quite the collection of statues and cards and it'd be nice to know what I'm doing. Also, discord server when??
Thank you for the suggestion, it's definitely a great topic worth covering (and tourism/ high home ranking are probably quite profitable!). Well, we are a super tiny channel at the moment. Once we get a bit more subscribers, it would be a fantastic idea to have a place to hangout together - like a discord server.
Thank you, this is a great suggestion! It will take me sometime to understand how all the skills in the game work but I will try to do a video on this topic once I'm confident in my findings.
My first character was a farmer, so naturally I started worshiping the god of harvest and my god... Its sooo strong :) plus the follower you get is such a nice parasite follower haha
Lulwy of wind buffs speed, which is nearly (if not totally) impossible to permanently raise without her help, and grants you more turns/actions in comparison to the NPCs around you. The S tier god for combat IMO even if your build doesn't care about bows or evasion. (I think you can also functionally raise your speed by using a fast mount, you could in Elona+, but I haven't played with those mechanics in Elin and I'm guessing that grinding riding skill is at least as big of a pain in the ass as grinding faith.)
I can't even get my residents to do anything. They're "working" but they don't do anything. Fishermen don't produce fish. Cleaners don't clean. I don't seem to understand how the signs work, so i end up doing everything myself. How am I supposed to use the various signs I can place? That is basic base-building that I don't understand
You will never see your residents actually doing 'work' . as for them producing anything, you actually have to make a shared storage for them to store to, they all just go to shipping box without it. As for the shared storage you have to manually edit the distributions for it so they all just don't dump everything in a single box. you need to put a lot of storage boxes for different categories as well as the appropriate sign for it.
How do you travel so far from the start? It takes days to reach any city and by that point all your food supplies are gone, you are tired and sleepy… not to mention occasional attacks from wildlife.
Yes, as @cinnamoonfang6104 has suggested you can either buy travel rations from inkeepers or you can make them in your base with a 'ration maker'! Hope it helps ;)
The reason the gods felt absent in bg3 is likely because it was based on 5e, which has moved as far away from gods as possible without actually getting rid of them. This is compounded in the latest rewrite of the rules for the 2024 edition.
What are the basic things you can do to increase admin points to allocate more policies? Aside from the usual upgrading your hearthstone that is. From what I have gathered I have seen that there is a book that allows me to use gold bars to get more admin points though I have been going around towns checking every scholar and haven't found that book.
To the best of my knowledge, you can also increase your admin points through residents. One of the hobbies resident can get is called a 'pet'. It provides public safety and adminitration point to your base. It does require a cat house or a cat tower for residents to be able to perform the job. You can change jobs/ hobbies of *most* of your residents by using a 'whip of love' on them. Hope it helps!
I somehow missed that the pet also gives administration like Lyotel, thanks for the reminder. I was progressing the story on my first character and ran into a minor issue where Lyotel left the main base and thus I lost some admin points for policies I wanted to enact.
