Beautiful, I'm an old-school audiophile. You're a lucky man. This generation doesn't know how influential Sony was. I wish they made a 2023 version. Can't imagine what they would sound like.

No chance pal, These are good speakers no questions but British speakers ie.. Kef, Tannoy, Bowers and Wilkins only to name a few would out perform these with ease
I purchased them new in the mid 1980's. I don't remember exact date. I also don't recall exactly what I paid for them. I believe at the time they were about $2,500.00 cdn. (a lot of money back then for a set of speakers) I worked for Sony of Canada back then so I got good discount. Hope that helps.

I got them from a retired Sony engineer, for only $100!

I have the APM66ES MKII and they are very nice too. The apm22ES are nice as well. The apm 70W is the best speaker I ever heart.

Im guessing this speaker technology, esp. the woofers, played no small part in the development of the passive radiators on todays portable speakers
How can I disassemble the woofers, after removing the screws, it has glue, how to remove it without damaging it, I need to disassemble the woofers
