- The Studio is almost finished as Rob Appell builds a serious power tool. Have fun watching Rob assemble the frame and of course a bit of skateboarding too. The Juki J350 Stand Up Mid Arm Quilting Machine will be a great addition to Making it Fun!

Well done Rob, great to see.......xx
Jello! Please put in a good word for me with Juki. What a gift!
Rob I am jealous that you have a new Juki Longarm Quilting Machine. Enjoy using it!
That was my first thought too!
I love this video. I have one ordered. I can hardly wait for it to arrive. 👍
You are so nice, I didn't let my family touch my new longarm machine. You are going to love it!
Wow! Congratulations Rob! Have fun.
Rob I really enjoyed your enthusiastic attitude towards your new Juki sewing machine, I truly enjoyed watching you go through the motions of jumping over your batting, to setting up your machine in your studio it’s gonna look fabulous after you’re completely done ! ✂️✂️🧵🧵 💕💕
My Myabi arrived today. Can't wait to use it.
Congrats! You will love it!
Rob, I just bought the Juki TL 2200qvp a few months ago but I have it table mounted for now. I love it! I had been thinking of getting a longarm for years and I finally just did it. Not sure if I ever want to mount it on a frame because of back problems when I stand too long, but we'll see. Enjoy!!
I just got my longarm 10 days ago, it's so much fun! My whole family tried it out too, lol. Spend all my free time practicing on the machine. Fun, fun, fun.
Love anything Juki! Lucky you! Have fun!
The only thing it isn't doing is talking. Love it. I've never done quilting before but this machine sure makes it look GREAT. 👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
Love how your studio is coming along.
Sweet!!!!! Have fun playing with your new toy!!!
Looking forward to lots of quilting videos. So happy for you Rob, you have truly been unleashed!!!!!
Congrats Rob. I really enjoyed seeing the family helping and using. You look Locke an old pro at this. Making it look too easy. Enjoy the toy.
Thank you for bringing us along!!!! Looks like a lovely machine. I will have to check it out. Your studio is fine I sew in my bedroom so I understand the pain. Quilters gotta quilt. Have a great day!!!!!
wow! Lucky you and Have fun!
SOOOO Cool 😎! I’ve never seen a longarm in person and it was great to see you set it up-as I’ve been super curious about it!
For those of us newbies would you please give us a longarm “tour”?
And you can STAND on it?!?!?!? 😲
I LOVE ❤️ how practical and down to earth you are...it was great to see your lights/camera rack set-up.
Rob your having so much fun! Your doing so much it's hard to keep up enjoy the new mid arm.
Great video. I'm patiently waiting for the flooring to arrive so I can finish my sewing room. I have a quilting frame still in the boxes and I can't wait to set it up and learn how to use it. I've been fmq on my home machine for about 4 years so I hope there won't be to much of a learning curve. I going to enjoy watching your journey!! Have fun with it.
Rob, congrats on your Juki longarm quilter. I know you will be creating some masterpieces!!!
Fun!
OMG ! I am actually green with envy, yes i know envy is a deadly sin, but in this case its it's ok.😊😊😊
I am looking at getting a longarm myself and seeing the pure joy your machine brought to your studio i think that I need to get on, get my studio sorted, (we have just moved house and my studio is being used as a store room until the rest of the house is sorted) and get that long arm ordered.
Enjoy every single second of it.
Best wishes
OMG. It’s a Man Cave! LOL. I luv it. I’m messy too.
Awesome, happy for you. I got my long arm machine in September. I am working on my 30th quilt. Soooo much fun.
Love that machine. I always use Hobbs 80/20. Love it. Have fun with that machine.
Wow! I am impressed with the skating ability. Of course, your new Juki long arm is pretty groovy, too.
It looks fun!! Congratulations on the new machine
Mine is being delivered and set up on Tuesday. I can hardly wait. I have the same machine coming and yes it’s my first long arm.
Awesome sauce!!!
Wowww I can’t wait to see what you are going to make using this cool machine!! 😊👍🏼
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m so excited for you! I just got mine too. Not the same brand but it’s so much fun! Can’t wait to see what you do! I love it that you got your whole family involved!
That was so fun watching you skateboard. You're so funny. I'm surprised you don't have 100k subscribers yet! Can't wait to see what you do next...
Great looking machine - the end design on the trial fabric looked slightly oriental :)
Looks great. I like the encoder on the carriage idea.
Creates problems.....I’ve had both the baseplate works better.
Mine should be here next weekend❤️
Rob:
I am so so excited for you.
I never knew Juki had a long arm. I am in the market for one so i will check it out
Obviously , it is hard for me to get an idea on the entire room set up without seeing your sewing room live, but as I was watching and catching glimpses of the entire room, I thought possibly by placing your Juki sit down sewing machine directly in front of the door (I assume it goes outside) and putting the long arm possibly on down where it is just , slide it down some to free up space when your setting and sewing, or make sure you have space when standing and quilting.
With you being an awesome quilter that you are (and will be even more with this machine), If it were me and i had your talents, I would put super large quilt to cover that entire wall including the door, which would then be the back drop for your set down sewing machine.
I dont know if there is enough room for the book case to stay were it is which would stay beside the set down Juki sewing machine (that will be moved in front of the unused door 🤯🤯), and not far from your long arm
I hope my suggestion helps you free up space, but believe it or not, i am actually really good about organizing. I have miraculously put 3 families into 1 small home and some how everything and EVERYONE had a place. No it wasn't easy. But my point, when your limited on space, a little organization will give you space you never knew you had. OHH HOW I WISH I WAS THERE TO HELP YOU..I LOVE DOING THAT TYPE OF THING. Cleaning and organizing drawers cabinets and rooms to make it look bigger than it is. Look at it as a challenge, not a dreaded job.💞💞💞
Uh...............if the Juki sit down sewing machine was directly in front of the outside door then it wouldn't be a door to the outside any more. Just sayin.
Love love love. I have the baby version of your QVP lol. Someday I hope to have that version! Looking forward to seeing you play more with the new machine. I'd also love to see kind of a break down of the longarm and frame. I've long wanted one...get it get it get it...lol...But really...I have, and am wondering about pros and cons, things to consider when purchasing one etc. Great vid as always!
You are awesome! But be careful be don’t bounce back injuries like we use to. Some day I may have a long are and will be able to what you do. Have fun and enjoy!
Welcome to the wild & wacky world of long arming!! Put on some tunes & rock out😎
Nice! Enjoy!
I wish I could afford to get this! I'm loving it!
I wil SOOOOOOOOOO have to give you hell when you come up to Oregon in August!! Ramp fail-LOL!!!
I have a jukebox long arm, I love it, have fun.
A Juki.
Great video!! I want one!!!
"I don't wanna do any more work than I need to." I'm dead😂😂😂😂
Sew fun! ❤️
Awesome video, thanks for the antics too, love that you show us your true self, that's important as well.
What is the quilt pattern behind your new machine? I love that and the color choices. It's beautifully done as well as the Michael Miller quilt.
Thanks, are you asking about the Flying Sewing machine spaceship quilt - Out of This World???
so I was wandering do you still have this machine? I just ordered one Saturday. I hope I love it!!
Очень хорошая покупка! Поздравляю!
Congratulations! I’m am a wee bit envious and curious about the optics on this Juki (no encoders? WOW) I bought my first entry level longarm earlier this year so I’m excited to learn about longarming along with you.
Lucky, lucky, lucky!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats. I’m thinking about switching to Juki
It’s so fun to watch the machine quilt
Is that a computerized one?
My mom got hers that is all free motion but has a laser that she can follow a scroll pattern. Hers is an old Ken quil Queen long arm. And her sewing room was about the size of your next door living room. But they sold their home after 40 years and moved to Mesa... and I miss them ‘sew’ much. I was just on the phone talking sewing with mom.... I wish I could just drive over and show her my newly figured out shortcuts
Now to email he pictures only. Not the same.
I didn’t have room for the frame. So i bought the table. Good luck
You are so lucky. I love to long arm.
Would you come to Florida and set it up for me 😀. What is the size of the frame? I don’t have much space but after seeing your mess I think I can clean mine up too and make some room, it is overwhelming to look at all the stuff
Did you decide to not put on the eye guard? It is an annoyance to me as it is hard to see where I am sewing. Jyst wondering if it's safe to quilt without it .
So jealous! What is the foot print as you have it set up.
That no encoder thing is cool! I'm curious how that works.
So far, Fantastic!
Do you offer a discount code if we buy it thru your channel? Do you know the price? Thanks for showing us this longarm-seems like a great size!
I don't know why these manufacturer's can't just allow quilting stores and the like to advertise the price. It always gets out on the net eventually anyway. The prices are preset from Juki, so one seller's price is going to be extremely similar to the next. A lot of stores tell you that they have a special price. They show you their MSRP "original" price (hugely inflated) and wow, look at our "special" price (what it should have been in the first place). So many people still fall for this sales trick. The best guesstimate from what I can gather, an entire setup like this probably runs around the $12-14K range (looking at similar Juki machines and comparable frames).
@@bonnielee8935 Thanks Bonnie-Come to think of it Rob probably got this for free or greatly discounted as a "seller" of the product. Maybe someday, but still a bit expensive for me right now.
I am looking at buy the sit down version of that machine. Does it quilt well with different types of thread ?
I am getting to try it out at my local dealer in October she doesn’t have it sit up yet. I have an old sit down and am retiring it. Thanks
Yes, I love the machine, has been working great for me. I play with the sit down version often at shows. Enjoy your new Power Toy
Rob, which size frame did you get? I've been looking at those and I'm "almost" there. How much room does it take up - I've got a small home but, can't do the sit down quilting any longer.
The frame is set up at 7 foot, you can purchase in 5ft and 2 ft sections. So you can do 5-12 foot very easy. I would go 10' if I had the space, the 7' works, but I have already maxed out twice on this frame.
Rob, can you please let me know how much inches it takes from wall behind?
Jelly.
Is that set up at the 7 foot config? This is the set up that I want to get, I have a diff frame and diff machine but love Juki and want to move up to this set up. I am looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos. One of the things that has me waiting is what size I want to set up. I have an 8 ft frame now and don't really want to go smaller, so the 7 foot is not really what I want, I want to do the 10 but that won't fit in my current room. I would love to hear your thoughts on the width... Thanks.
Yes, this is 7 foot, and I think it will be just large enough. The frame is from Grace, and because the Juki J350 needs no encoders, you may be able to replace the head into your 8 ft frame.
@@makingitfunwithmichaelmill8161 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated.
Does that have a stitch regulator?
yes, it has a variety of regulation options available.
Love you, but I hope you go back to your roots of working on affordable equipment. It'll be fun seeing you playing with your new toys though ;-).
Well, I just about stopped watching your childish antics, but I really wanted to see this machine b
