  • I'm proud to present this short film into what life is like for my brother Jaimeson and I, both of us dealing with looking different and being Deaf.
Also get a glimpse into how the organization MyFace has helped not just us, but so many people in the world who were born with facial differences.
I'd like to thank the awesome crew from LA who came to meet us and shot this amazing film. You guys were so chill and amazing to hang out with, thank you for giving my brother and I the opportunity to share a few things!
My name is Andy and I was born Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing and unable to speak, so sign language is my native language. I do music covers in American Sign Language (ASL), as well as tutorials and other fun series incorporating ASL! Sign Language allows a different perspective and experience in music, it truly shows the emotions and concepts behind the songs' meanings.

OK from a product developer's perspective, like I am, it is easier to introduce small improvements to mobile phones than invest in R&D to invent something that doesn't exist. Even when we 'invent' small projects we use existing technology. I was thinking about moving into that field as I work with deaf people, but the investment is too huge so it it is up to large corporations to do something. Jaimeson said the obvious but unfortunately for the 'big'' guys, there might not be enough money to be made. The largest the market, the more expensive the products, phones versus hearing aids, the more profits. Plus, you also need to consider the resources needed for a project like this in general. I mean, human resources, ICT resources, all these would make it even harder for entrepreneurs to enter the field as they create higher barriers to entry. BUT, we will get there, collectively, we will invent new products and Jaimeson will be a part of the new era as long as he keeps on fighting, which I am sure he will and enter the field. jaimeson, set a goal and go after it like your life depends on it. You know why??? Because it does. (Les Brown). If others don't do it , then do it yourself. This is the entrepreneur mindset that you have. Well, both of you guys! Keep on.

This short film is beautiful and while I'm extremely glad that MyFace has helped you and your brother so much, it irks me that people can be so hesitant to start a conversation or a friendship with someone just because of the way they look. That shouldn't be the norm and I wish that people would just be more accepting of other people because at the end of the day we're all just that - people.

So I just saw your video with SBSK and I’ve gone through and watched some of your music videos and now this one and I just have to say that you and your brother are incredible. And I LOVE that you got to get up on stage and sign music, that is probably one of the most badass things I’ve seen someone accomplish. You brought tears to my eyes and filled my heart with SO much joy. I hope you and your brother are kicking ass still and I wish the absolute best for both of you. You inspired me to want to learn ASL because I never want someone to feel like they don’t have a voice or can’t speak the way that’s the most comfortable for them. ❤️💙 thank you both!

Hello, I'm from Russia and in my country deafpeople haven't many ways to live a full life because we talk about disabilities rarely. It's not very "comfortable" theme for conversations, you know? We don't have anything for people with disabilities, no matter what disabilities. And I'm not just talking about stairs with a descent for wheelchairs! We don't have a formed mind... We think that disability is punishment, it's hidden from prying eyes and hushed up. People with disabilities don't leave the house for y e a r s. That's why this film is so important. Quotha! You need to open your mouth to open the eyes of others.
I love u, man. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your stories. I do believe in both of you, I am 110% you will change the world, well... Look.. you are already doing it and you are still so young. Plus, I am sure you will have families because you are very charming, both of you, whether you see it or not. I am very happy there are people that support you through this journey and as Jaimeson said we should look into new innovations and improvements. Keep doing what you love and if you encounter any haters, ignore them. We all meet haters every day and there is not such a thing like a perfect face or whatever. These are just perceptions. I remember the first day I came across your videos and I was like , dude, this guy is AWESOME and looks soooo cool. It was a video of you talking about your face that made me actually realize about the condition. But I am too blinded by your awesomeness to scrutinize facial differences. Being deaf or not, able to talk or not, able to walk or not... do not mean anything. You talk, Sign language is a language, and I have also heard you talking. You have people that support you and you will work on it even more. I am telling you, Andy, your mom and your family have done an amazing job bringing you up. We need more young people like you in this world if it to get better.

this was truly beautiful, and really made me realise a few things and I know having a speech disorder can't compare to being deaf but I really feel like I somehow related to this and that's amazing! keep doing what your doing Andy! x
