I'm so sick of this PFAa crap and the hate toward crossfit games definitely not what Lazar would want it was so clear crossfit brought him nothing but joy
Dense bringing the hard-hitting facts!

Is there something wrong with training smarter and not wanting to possibly die when competing in a sport? Let be honest, old crossfit games, while it was awesome and very entertaining, was more about who can take the most punishment and recover (I've even heard the term "survive the games" before) And it was made clear that the games is NOT Crossfit... so why are people mad at the PFAA wanting to make the sport, not CrossFit, safer? maybe you have a problem with how they are going about it but I will always be for the athletes who are actually competing, wanting a safer sport.
Also lets be honest here, with another change to the open (no QF, no in person semis) a lot of people will not be signing up for the open... I think they made a big mistake by changing the structure yet again. they shoot themselves in the foot by always changing it.
I agree with your first comment. CF the Sport is different from CF the methodology. Nothing ever stays the same, things need to move forward and change with the times (put your hand up if you don’t drive a car, use a phone or a microwave). CF the sport is no different.
People are mad at the pfaa because they demanded the firing of Dave.
Jenny you are awesome. I love these updates. Your passion for CF is genuine. I appreciate people who call out BS virtue signaling and narcissistic social medial culture for what it is. Checks and balances are good. I support you. I do feel its important to separate the methodology from current day HQ. I feel CF could be saved by cutting ties with PE and having Rogue commandeer the ship. Greg needs to come back and oversee methodology so that it progresses. Castro has always been arrogant and conceited, he is replaceable by someone like Bridges and Spealler. The rest of HQ is usesless.
@@sebastiannai4381 thank you 🙏
It’s almost like people began to slowly realize working out alone with an unhealthy amount of exercise wasn’t the intention of CrossFit and CrossFit games at all.

CrossFit is NOT the only sport in functional fitness
@@taylorschultz9085 functional fitness is still CrossFit, prove me wrong. Hyrox is CrossFit with too much running and no barbell. It’s all a spin off CrossFit
Functional the word is so overused in fitness space.
@ how would you change that?
Great content 👌🏼

@@KippingItRealcrossfit she’s 😎
Can confirm.. Hattie is a G. Had a good chat with her at a comp this weekend.
Oops... I didn't realize Laura didn't compete in Asia, maybe because it's a CF-licensed event, until you pointed it out.😯 (earlier, I only thought it was strange that she agreed to "compete" in this event.) On Chinese social media, the reason given is a "health problem."

Totally agree!!
To your point about athletes not thanking CrossFit - none of them DARE thank Greg OR Dave specifically, lest they be blackballed, canceled, and otherwise "postponed to veto" (which makes NO SENSE, coming from a group of so-called PROFESSIONAL athletes).
@@coach_suhr_moose its shameful really. I don’t like certain people in my current CrossFit ecosystem but I can still have the humility & decency to give them thanks when deserved.
Too many Trudeau Canadians, perhaps?
Don’t lump the volunteers in with the “organization” that gave the athletes their livelihood as you call it. The volunteers were free labor for the same organization and spend plenty of time and money going to events, not profiting off them. Brent and Katrin (and hundreds of others) were always lovely and grateful to volunteers and fans, not entitled or spoiled.
Also, when an actor wins an award, do we pick apart every time they don’t mention the “the academy” or “hollywood?” No. They can get up there and thank Jesus, their agent, their mama, their fellow actors and that is sufficient. Sure some folks remember to kiss up to the Big Daddy Orgs, but in the end it is the people in their lives supporting the career-day in and day out-that they want to thank.
PFFA ARE PATHETIC trying to make.out that crossfit is theirs. lol, I love your post right on point . It will be awesome as if they boycott !! HELLO THERE ARE PLEANTY CROSSFITTERS STANDING IN THE GAP 🎉🎉
No …there isn’t
@@pulkpullerthere actually is.
I think you and CFHQ are going to be very surprised at how many athletes are pissed. I think you and CFHQ are in for a big surprise.
@ there will always be an athlete to take their place. Our affiliate will have more sign up this year than last and last year we had well over 100 do the open.
@@DenseUpdates Sounds great. You will likely have to do more to get the same participation. I am sure that Private Equity appreciates you paying them profits while your affiliate does all of the work. I guess we will see how many affiliates and athletes feel the same as you do and how many tell PE to piss off like we did.
Kind of hard to claim to be the competition to find the fittest if the fittest sit it out. Kind of hard to even hold the comp if 70% of the athletes don't show up to event 1.
I am starting AWSCMAA.
(Athletes Who Support CrossFit Methodology and Affiliates Association)
I like it sign me up 😂
I am forming a new company and brand that will be owned by affiliates and represent the affiliates and the athletes in affiliates.
Rflmao I thought at cf everyone is an athlete …no athletes no money. This is a stupid hill to die on
This is the last thing that cf needs. The pfaa is unnecessary, cf is failing everyone. Cf is at a tipping point and not on the right side. Everyone can trash hyrox but they sure seem to be running a tighter ship and are growing 😂
Hyrox 😂 clearly you’ve been living under a rock
Not anymore. Private Equity owns CrossFit now and everyone is a $.
Another great episode Jenny! The little comedy snippets are gold!! Humility is definitely lacking in today’s “elite” CF athletes, which is very sad. I noticed the PFAA still doesn’t recognize teams athletes as “elite” which says a lot about them. Maybe it’s time for HQ to just sponsor affiliate competitions and an affiliate cup…
@@SweatinSixty thanks 🙏

You don't have a sport if you don't.have athletes competing in that sport, so I can see why an athlete would claim a sport as theirs. Right or wrong, it just seems like athletes in any sport would use that sort of language. This argument is kind of like Crossfit claiming the term "functional fitness" as their own. I get that there are non-affiliated competitions that are essentially Crossfit, but Crossfit didn't invent functional fitness.
You missed the entire point. It’s always been about the fittest in an affiliate. We still have thousands of affiliates and thousand who sign up.
I think the claim here is that a small group of the top, money making, athletes are stating that CF is "their" sport, completing ignoring the other 99.9% of people (most of whom don't consider themselves as 'athletes', just somebody going to the gym). Ironic that the PFAA - PROFESSIONAL Fitness Athletes Association - seems to think they speak for everybody.
@DenseUpdates Because the video was hung up on terminology used, such as athletes claiming Crossfit as "our sport" and "functional fitness" being solely a Crossfit concept, I don't think I did. I'm merely pointing out the irony. Sorry you don't see it.
@@pisceanpaul “The sport” would also work.
@DenseUpdates I don't disagree. I said something along the lines of "right or wrong, athletes in any sport tend to claim the sport they compete in as their sport."
