@@AZmotion Its just a bin. Technicall this is just an official intel equivalent of going on silicon lottery. Its a solid cpu at 500 bucks, hopefully it will start to fall back to msrp soon. Main thing from 9900k vs ks is power and heat, not clocks. with a 9900k you will probably push voltages alot higher for 5ghz all core, if you are unlucky that may not even be possible. 9900ks runs at a lower voltage, giving you more freedom to try to push 5.1 or 5.2.

I have 9900kf. Once you hit 5ghz on both, they are same. Binned 9900ks is exactly that. Just hand picked. Majority of 9900kf oc to 5 with proper volts. For me? I upgraded from 6700k, that was a stubborn ass chip to get to 5ghz. I had to go to 1.48 volts (max was like 1.52). Also thing ran hot, even with d15 noctua. 9900kf runs so much cooler on d15 and volts are much less than 1.4 and under. 9900 series is awesome. Almost went 3900x amd but for pure gaming intel be the king if you got the cash money.

Gonna take my 8700k out but im gonna miss how cool it runs delided, hell it only hits 60c maxed out all cores on a 360 aio in push/pull at 5ghz
