For people who already watched and are coming back- 1. DO wash with warm water DON'T wash with cold water
    2. DO wash in sections DONT wash all at once (split with your hands in about 4 sections to make sure the water gets everywhere)
    3. DO clarify your hair consistently DON'T only use CO wash (wash with shampoo every 2 weeks)
    4. DO rinse with warm water after shampooing DON'T rinse with cold water
    5. DO deep condition with heat (30-45 minutes) - Put a shower cap on and get under a hooded dryer
    6. DO apply leave in conditioner in the shower DON'T do it outside the shower with dry hair. (Apply in sections, and the same sections that you put the deep conditioned)
    7. DO put a shower cap on immediately after you put in leave in conditioner until you style
    8. DO use the LCO method DON'T use the LOC method
    9. DO style with creams and butters
    10. NEVER style on dry hair

Let’s go crys! Tell it like it is sis! Putting the leave in on right after rinsing our the DC and adding a cap is truly bae!!! Currently it takes 2 hours for me to twist my head, And I never have to use a spray bottle ever!!!! Also applying that DC with warm water and steam in the shower when your cuticles are open in bae! It’s the same as the leave in process. Then after sitting under my dryer my hair feels bomb. The only thing I’m experimenting with is layering methods. I don’t fully believe the loc method is invalid. However it depends on each individuals head. So far the LCO method is winning though lol.

Especially if you live in a humid climate, you need that gel for definition/hold and to make sure your hair is not a frizzy mess. Creams and butters just aren't enough.

I'll keep with my LLOC method (liquid [water], leave in, oil, cream [for styling only].) My low porosity 4c hair loves it.
BTW, only class 1 and 2 oils seal. Class 3 (jojoba, sweet almond oil, macadamia oil, hempseed oil, safflower oil, grapeseed oil, etc.

Hey I understand wat ur saying but the LCO method doesn't work for my hair
So I do the LOB method which stands for
    L-leave in conditioner
    O-oil
    B-shea butter
And that method have been working for me very well on my type four hair, but thank you so much for your tips

I LOVE this thank you!!!!! Because my type 3 frizzy fine, LOW porosity hair does NOT like cold water! Twenty something years ago even a dresser misinformed me about the cold water deal and didn't "get" how different my curly hair is SO different from her daughter's curly hair, hence NEVER left my hair anything but dull and styled incorrectly. Heat = good for my hair when it comes to conditioning for sure!

Everyone's hair is different and what worked for you might not work for me and vice versa.. My hair is long and prone to tangles so doing LOC somehow made it less tangled and my hair stays moistured and soft even for a full week. A stylist mentioned that using light products penetrants to low porosity hair better and I found that to be true my hair suck in the products and stays moistured so much better with light weight products the lighter the better and it doesn't do well with creams and specially butters my hair hates butters, it does well with lighter oils like almond and argan oil

    1. clarifiying shampoo
    2. deep condition with heat (warm conditioner in hot water before hand/apply conditioner to warm hair/plastic cap)
    3. lco
    4. not too much protein? (silk/hydrolzed/wheat are good)
    5. warm water
    6. stay away from thick heavy products???
    7. stay away from protein treatments?
    8. work on damp not wet hair
    eextra:
use a deep conditioner not a conditioner,
moisturizing cream on top of leave in?
    continue doing split sections
    never style on dry hair
put a shower cap after doing leave in until ready to style

Jamaican black castor oil, Aloe Vera, cling film, Indian clay, cantu creamy shampoo, cantu deep treatment or deep conditioning masque must have heat, drink plenty of water, biotin drops, Indian clay use warm water or apple cider vinegar, these are the stuff I use but not all in one go, I have to wash my hair in warm to slightly hot. You can buy all those products online or buy them in hair shop stores. Low porosity you need time patience, meditate massage and pray for your hair. Thank you I’ve been looking for a low porosity natural hair for ages subs straight away. Take care on all your hair journeys, God bless 🙏🏽❤️😍

I did the leave in tip this past weekend without knowing, and I was able to use much less leave in. Mine foams on wet hair so a little went a long way and no more coated feeling bc I'm using too much! Abt the LOC comment: People rarely use water for their liquid, so doesn't the leave in have ingredients to seal in the water by itself. Most good ones are made to coat and lubricate the strand, no? So the oil is just an extra layer to what is already "sealed". And why is it necessary to style on wet hair if the moisture is already sealed in?? I'm not too interested in the mechanics of everything but had these thoughts as you were sharing. Great tips!

The LOC method can work if you're using an oil that isn't a sealant. All oils aren't sealants. Some can penetrate the hair itself. The LOC method is wrong due to the oils people are using . Plus the LOC method requires an extra step at the end if it's being done right. I personally use the LCO method.

I actually don't use oils on a consistent basis but when I do 95% of the time it is after all of my other products and most times I don't even put oil on my wet hair. The only oil I've consistently used on my wet hair and even before my cream is the melanin Haircare oil which is super nourishing
