Pillars of Light, The Art of Jeremy Gardiner

Jeremy Gardiner is an abstract landscape painter whose work focuses on the geology of coastal landscapes. Gardiner sets out to visit all the lighthouses of the Southwest of England - Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
We see Godrevy lighthouse, near St Ives, Virginia Wolf's inspiration for her book: To the Lighthouse; Start Point lighthouse, in Devon, probably the most exposed peninsula in the English coast; and Anvil Point, near Swanage, in Dorset, where the young Gardiner developed a lasting curiosity for the geology of landscape in long walks with his Grandmother.
