I am getting this for Christmas
Walmart is offering this SUV again. In store it is retailing for over $38 but if purchased online it is 19.94 plus tax and no ship if you are able to do in store pick up. And despite the picture on the website here, the mud is actually brown on the car.

I got this for my 8 or 9th birthday, I love it!
love car i think mattel trying be more realstic i been lot less pink on there toys in 6 grade in school the teacher wanted us make model cars after the poject was over i used it for my barbies wish i still had that car.
So cute! They had two of these at my local Walmart, and they sold out within a week. I'm kicking myself for not buying one. I love the color, and the mud is a cute touch. :D

It's funny how Barbie cars from 10, 20, 30 years ago are more detailed than the modern ones. The car's okay but it makes me glad I kept my barbie mini van from the 90s. The mud detail is cool, but I hate how squished in most barbie cars look.

The long seatbelts are good for the broad Ken dolls. I'm assuming that's why the made them so long.
I got the purple version (minus typical doll and cool mud splash) on sale awhile back. Kind of wished I waited because I like this blue. Doors don't open on purple one either. Not sure what's up with that. Financial cutbacks most likely. I have a couple other Barbie cars that have doors.

The only thing missing now are car seats for the Chelsea, Kelly, and Krissy dolls. Did they ever make those to begin with? I never saw any but it seems like an important thing if you've got so many smaller siblings and a new car every few years!
+Carrie Wright i agree that chelsea could probably use a car seat... or those little toddler dolls they sell in packs with an adult barbie, like gymnast or tennis player or teacher. That would be cool

Hi gypsie. I love the barbie cars. I too, but here is my #1 HATE of the Barbie car; no lights, no horn effect. Case in point: I bought both the pink barbie car that came with doll, & Kid Konnection Walmart food truck which came with beautiful bendable doll, the truck lights up, and horn blows, the barbie car cost $5more; of course I LOVE that Barbie and friends fit into car. But gee, Mattel, a lil real effeX?

You know, Gypsie, you can use some of the packaging plastic to make a windshield and for those small back windows. Even if it doesn't have side or back windows (they can be rolled down), the missing windshield would bother me. You can even get a piece of hard plastic at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I think you'd pleasantly surprised if those 3 windows were there, even while I saw you using all the windows to adjust your dolls LOL. If it were MY car, I'd dtich the seat belts. I'd figure a way to make backs for the seats, using cardboard that is either painted or maybe has fuzzy paper glued to it, or some of that foam pieces you can get at Michael's. So, did you notice that probably the reason that the seats don't go to the floor is so the girls in the back seat can put their legs under the front seats?
I enjoy your reviews. "Mattel keep messing things up!" too funny. I think it would have been cool if the trunk back could open so you could put bags or things in the back under the backseats. It feels like you have purchased the only version of this toy!! when I google it, the only hit I get is your review. the only version i see for sale is as you linked, the purple version without the doll. I prefer without the doll but I really like this blue color with the mud splash realism. I think you have bought a rare and unique toy.

I don't think it can be removed without looking crazy. But it can be covered with additional paints or spray paint. If necessary.
