Unless your're trying to read the notes in front of you on the stand. that's the reason the musicians playing the music look angry, and they're hot wearing those jump suits. but hey what do i know. lol
Having stood in such a crowd on different occasions and different concert, I can say that euphoria doesn't even begin to describe it. Even watching that part makes me smile and silently sing along each and every time. I love how, with each time I listen, I can just point out the moment that the guy starts it and the moment it is picked up by almost everyone else.
I once started a line for people to wait for their meals, but the meals won't come until an hour. I justed wanted to read what the kitchen was serving, two of my friend followed me, because they wanted to know what I found interesting and then the rest of the people at this area thought: Oh, there a people waiting for their meals, quick get in the line or I have to wait for two hours or so (there were 1400 people and only one kitchen). I can tell I was not very pleased about this situation.
There is no "one person" who starts it, the crowd is an entity at this point. Same thing happened at the end of his concert in the same festival back in 2013. I was part of that "entity" and man... goosebumps & happiness :)
The studio version: a good song very catchy. Live version: a fucking orchestral masterpiece and a live choir I mean this is some of the best things I have ever watched, this gives me chills every single time and I cannot stop smiling while watching...
the best part imo on this concert are the trio drummers behind everyone else. Those guys are just golden. They deserve an oscar idk. Maybe im a drummer enjoyer and i love orchestral drummers. They feel like the heart of the event.
Until you realize that the crowd is actually singing incorrectly. The kids are singing two lines, whereas the crowd is just repeating the first one. It's easy to tell right when they begin.
@@felixreali7101 no, if you see the lady in white standing in front of frontrow, she is probably their choir teacher. Just follow her and you are good.

Used to be a paramedic... That was the first time i saw Woodkid live... Working at his show. He's one of the (many and diverse) reasons i changed my career path... His lightning designer / operator is a genius. I'm now a lighting designer, sound engineer and stage rigger. I had already my mind made about leaving the healthcare "industry" but something special happened at his show... I knew i wanted to do something different but never had i imagined i would go back to school and on the field in the live entertainment industry. Woodkid's shows are on another level. There's the music, the live arrangements, the stage, the lighting (people rarely understand how hard it is to design something with just one color: white, playing with different temperatures of white, strobing with the drums...). This isn't just a concert... It's much more.
Why is this comment not blown up? This is an amazing! I’ve always wanted to work on a stage whether it was for theatre or concert, and for sound or lighting just like you. You inspire me so much and I’m just a kid! Thank you for sharing your journey, it’s make me appreciate this form of art so much more than I already have 🫶🏽

I was there and I cried too. It's the sense of unity with everyone around you feeling the same emotions that gets to us. A beautiful night I'll remember forever.
8:40 is where shit gets REAL in this video. One of those incredible unscripted moments. Nobody planned it, nobody expected it, but in that moment with the whole crowd just totally energized, that amazing chorus encore happened. You can see from the faces of the choir and orchestra members on stage, they didn't know what to make of it, they were just totally blown away!
Imagine the youth on stage performing this for the first time with a crowd and seeing adults elated, jumping, and dancing out of joy to your singing. Gives me chills!
9:00 where he encourages the kids on stage to join in the chanting that’s just for fun and isn’t a performance and it’s just the audience having fun. It’s like he’s reminding them to stop every so often and remember the joy that performing and music and general can and should bring. (Also that cute little high five he gives the conductor at like 10:21)

I love the girl's facial transformation into a wide smile at 7:27 - she knows she is a part of something truly special. What a performance. I keep coming back and only wish this version were on i-Tunes.
This song is already so beautiful and well-orchestrated, but this entire live version, especially with the children’s choir and chanting starting at 7:00 makes this song twice as beautiful. I almost started tearing up when I heard the chorus for the first time, not going to lie. 🥹 It’s very haunting and profound yet awesomely matches the triumphant spirit of the studio version as the song comes to an end, which almost feels like it could fit right into a movie’s score and soundtrack. In fact, the choir singing reminds me of the children’s choir heard in the climax scene of one of my favorite animated films, “Castle In The Sky”, which still gives me chills sometimes when I watch it. I so wish that Woodkid would release this live version as a listenable recording someday.
That was an amazing crowd reaction. Like a huge choir. Regardless, I really wanna have a studio record of this version. The extension works really well.

OMG SAME HERE! I just heard this song 2 weeks ago and this version is something unexplainable! The complete joy on woodkids face when the kids start singing is awesome!
@@mralec1742 i have seen Orchestra conductors do it, granted the Orchestra was the Main act, not another musician. To make it happen at this scale the conductor had to talk to Woodkid for a second to ask if he even wanted that, than he would tell the orchestra where in the song they would start, get everyones attention and set in just at the right time. It probably is possible, but who knows if Woodkid would have wanted that? That was truly a special moment - the singer and his crowd - maybe its best to keep that as minimalistic as possible.
What I love about this too is that hardly anyone is on their cell phone. Yea that’s a boomer thing to say but still people are legit living in the moment and they all become the orchestra and the instruments
I think the phones thing is a more legit complaint at concerts than the overall ‘kids these days be on that phone’ complaints. If someone is in front of you on their phone it’s directly interfering with your vision and ability to see what’s going on. Once your behavior is negatively affecting others it’s really a problem. I’ve had to start avoiding more popular concerts because I am so tired of watching the stage through people’s phone screens in front of me. I wanna grab & throw their phones.
From what ive seen from people, they only record this kind of stuff to brag to their friends, not to reexperience the moment. This audience however, truly cares for the moments with him and I respect that kind of audience.
Love the original track, took me several years later to find this version. Blown away would be an underestimation. The percussion is brilliant, cannot help but tap my fingers at this glorious rhythm playing, having the orchestra and choir just adds completeness to my ears and eyes. Thanks for having it on UA-cam.

The audience and joy on his face are both priceless
Am I the only one who is obsessed with the part from 3:03 until 3:47 , I'm still shivering ?
all the strange effects in the music and everything
No your not
No you are not😅
the first time I saw this video I got goosebumps all over my body, and today I literally cried! I mean, I don't know how to explain what's the thing with this video but it's something really magical.
I experienced the EXACT same thing!
SAME!!!just a euphoric feeling.
I wasn’t prepared for this. As soon as the first bell sounds, I couldn’t stop crying for 11 mins. So beautiful
OMG SAME HERE! I just heard this song 2 weeks ago and this version is something unexplainable! The complete joy on woodkids face when the kids start singing is awesome!
I was there and I got many goosebumps throughout the evening and definitely wept a few times.
One of very few artists i can watch live on a phone screen and still feel the energy of the performance while sitting and watching at home.
Good Night
Good Luck
why i see this for the first time after 5 years 😍😍😍
I really wished they would have "dropped the beat" one last time when the crowd got so hyped :/
JoDaF1N _ I thought so too
you can do it with a band of like four persons, but not with an orcherstra. That's way too difficult
So was I!
Yeah!! percussion only
The moment when the kids start to sing....GOOSEBUMPS every time!
What I love about this too is that hardly anyone is on their cell phone. Yea that’s a boomer thing to say but still people are legit living in the moment and they all become the orchestra and the instruments
so true.
Dude
I think the phones thing is a more legit complaint at concerts than the overall ‘kids these days be on that phone’ complaints. If someone is in front of you on their phone it’s directly interfering with your vision and ability to see what’s going on. Once your behavior is negatively affecting others it’s really a problem.
I’ve had to start avoiding more popular concerts because I am so tired of watching the stage through people’s phone screens in front of me. I wanna grab & throw their phones.
Noticed the exact thing!!!
I cried a lot watching this, the song itself is amazing but this live is an absolute masterpiece, truly intense
I was there and I balled my eyes out. Beautiful evening!
In my entirely life, no song has ever made me cry out of PURE EUPHORIA. This was it. Fucking. Masterpiece.
And what I loved is the audience didn't take out their phones and start recording, they were truly there to see him, not to record him.
Me too
Deli Spice Vlogs There is nothing wrong with capturing the moment.
Ellemen The moment is captured, as you can see. No need for everyone to do it themselves.
From what ive seen from people, they only record this kind of stuff to brag to their friends, not to reexperience the moment. This audience however, truly cares for the moments with him and I respect that kind of audience.
0:56
to quote a wise man: “chills. literal chills.”
god the end when the crowd decided to continue the song was just amazing ❤
Love the original track, took me several years later to find this version. Blown away would be an underestimation. The percussion is brilliant, cannot help but tap my fingers at this glorious rhythm playing, having the orchestra and choir just adds completeness to my ears and eyes. Thanks for having it on UA-cam.
you can tell that woodkid truly loves his work and sharing it with others
That was on my birthday and I went there
dyinglightfan lucky you
You're very lucky!
you lucky soul🙌🏻
I arrived so early, the boy hasn't started running yet.
The boy has always been running.
This has to be one of the very best live performances ever seen - gave me goosebumps... so beautiful, singing, words, music, staging... Fantastic :)xxxx
Ummm you haven't seen much in life have you??
@@Anth230 probably not😊

What an epic perfomance, I‘m crying!
I WAS SO AMAZED DURING THE SONG BUT AUDIENCE AT THE END OMGGGGG I STARTED CRYING SO UGLY 😭💖
I can bet u didn't cry, this isn't that type of song
@@calebfleck3601 lol where do they create such unimaginative minds
Wow. Simply astonished by this performance. Mind blowing awsome.
@@calebfleck3601 i sense you were abused as a child
@@deanshaw6588 no I actually wasn't
This is an amazing production. I've worked in theater for 42years and this is one of the top 10 I've seen or worked on.
I don't care if it's eleven minutes long I'll replay it until the replay button is broken!!
Probably the best live performance I’ve ever seen
An absolute masterpiece
When the crowd comes in. I could feel the energy flowing through my screen. Wow. Reminds me of Queen's performance in Wembley stadium. Crowd was mesmerized
I bawled my eyes out at 3:30 in the morning watching this.
7:00 bro that smile when the angelic choir begins :,)
Best live performance I’ve seen in my life!
formidable, avec le chœur d'enfant, et tout l'instrumental, bravo
