In 1983 i was a chubby 16 year old kid with brown hair, i saved my money that summer and went out to get a 'platinum blonde' haircut and dye job at the House of Lords on Yonge Street, and an expensive white leather jacket like Mark wore on the cover of their first album, i spent my entire savings from my summer job on it. I did this on the last weekened before school started, thinking i would be the coolest kid in school! Suffice to say when i got home and looked in the mirror i looked ridiculous, so i ran to the pharmacy and bought a bottle of brown hair dye and rushed back home and straight into the washroom before my mother could see me. After doing the dye myself and rinsing out my hair i was mortified to discover that i was now a redhead, i went and got another bottle of darker dye, but that didn't help either. So i spent most of my grade 11 year as a redhead until it started growing longer and then i was a half red/half brunette kid. I remember teachers and kids at school asking me if i dyed my hair and i just denied it, lol i'm still mortified remembering it to this day. That said, i'm now a bald 56 year old man who would kill to have that ridiculous hair again LOL!
OMG dude that's the funniest thing I've read in a long time, and kudos to you for having the cujones to post it. Didn't we all F up like that in one way or another? Thank god we did it pre-internet.
Mark and I would go out Friday nights together when he was dj at the Mod club. He was one of the nicest guys and I can’t even tell you how many people would ask him to sing this song when we would be out for dinner . It was nuts.
Such an awesome sound from my high school days in the 80's. It was a time of non stop hit music constantly all the time until it stopped. Nobody can understand unless they lived it.
Been a fan since their start! They are the best!!!!! hope to see them live before i died... i have get a chest scan soon . might have to loose the lower lobe of my right lung... sucks.
I love Mark Holmes, and Platinum Blonde. One of my fav pop bands of the 80's. Also met Mark a few times in Toronto at the gym and at a couple clubs. He's a great guy. Glad to see them still rocking.
SWEET! They came to my high school in 83 and it was KICK ASS!!!!! 💪🏼🤘🏼🇨🇦 Oh ya., mark was standing beside Me at a small Duran Duran gig in TO And he bought me a few drinks… don’t worry… I bought him drinks too… lol. Anyways… just such a super Sweet guy! His hair was bigger than mine too!
I went to school with Sergio Galli and jammed with him in his home, he's a great guy who became a star, I'm so proud of him and it shows that good guys can live their dreams.
I remember the band doing a duet with Frank Mills during a Nathan Phillips New Years Eve event. It was a ridiculous pairing, but they both were good sports 🤘
My mother and sister saw them do their Police cover band playing at Ontario Place about 40 years ago. Shortly after they made it. My mother is 85 now !
Lol. I always thought they were a British band. I saw them In Kitimat BC waaaay back in the day. Not the place _any_ band wants to play a concert, but they were good. There used to be a saying......."Terrace BC is the asshole of British Columbia, and Kitimat is halfway up it."
Wow ......last time I saw these guys was in 1986 at the Lindsay Fair in Lindsay, Ontario, CA. It looks like everyone's having a good time. I have a feeling that that was the last song of the night. Why?..... because at our age to pull off the screams in the last song would shred his vocal chords. Still did it well. Well done guys!!!🍁
Saw them with my Dad when I was 13, he got us all the way to the stage entrance and we got to see them take the stage in their prime. Lost Dad last Thanksgiving, such a great memory of time spent together.
I once had a drink with these guys at a bar somewhere in suburban Toronto in around 1990 🎉 i was 21 ish.
music is a time machine.... wish we could go back to that time.

Sergio loves his Les Pauls!
If these guy's are ever to do more recording or writing as P.Blonde, they've gotta get at it.
They're healthy and playing at a very level.
Classic
I saw these guys last night in London. At this age they have no business sounding this good, but they were pretty awesome.
I remember the band doing a duet with Frank Mills during a Nathan Phillips New Years Eve event. It was a ridiculous pairing, but they both were good sports 🤘
thanks crazy bunny, im mean psycho lol
Seen them in Calgary on this tour. I enjoyed their set more than the headliner.
People forget they started out as a Police tribute band. I was at their last show where they did all the Police material.
Cool. Where and when was that? I tried looking it up years ago but found nothing.
@@derekdrums
it was a club called "Hoopers" in Ottawa around the time their first LP came out

He looks like simon lebon from far away
Serge!
S-air-ge
did they get a new drummer ?
What's with all our male singers like Mark and Joe from Def loving shiny overcoats on stage? Put on a jean jacket again....please....
Who’s the new drummer? Sounds good, but I miss Dan.
the new drummer is Justin Kadis joined sometime in 2020, I think he was in a Bowie tribute band
WHERE CHRIS????
3 piece band???
Where is real bass player
Kenny MacLean (bass) died in 2008
@@HappyPsychoBunny1 shit
Mark Holmes (the singer) also originally played bass (on the Standing in the Dark album) before Kenny MacLean.
