I've considered it. Quality vs Quantity is always an argument I have with myself in regards to UA-cam. Same with "Long essay/podcast style" vs. "Quick punch UA-cam style" - Appreciate the feedback.
Andre "Black Nerd" sooooo is Nickelodeon going to make a Power Rangers movie the same way they did with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I mean now that Hasbro owns them and they’re in good tides with Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios.
Andre "Black Nerd" do you think power rangers can do a power ranger series in the same vibe as what they show on the Cw? Arrow and riverdale can be an influence
Side note: I saw your Tomb Raider fan film. To be honest, it was the first time I checked out your work since you fought Smosh Games alongside the Warp Zone in Rainbow Six like 2.5 years ago (so an eternity for you, I'm sure), but I'm glad I did because it was the most well-done fan project I'd seen since Mario Warfare (by beatdownboogie). Will definitely be sticking around for more. Great work.
Hasbro if you’re reading this feel free to take this idea: A Nerf power axe from MMPR that also functions as a nerf gun and shoots darts like in the show.
big stacie reacts let dc do an animated series or movie. They always deliver in that aspect. Maybe something in the vein of that dark gritty future timeline of the power rangers that was going around on UA-cam like 4/5 years ago
I hope Hasbro gets the tv shows back to the old standard, because right now they are an eye sore. Remember Time Force, Light speed Rescue and In Space? Those were morphenomenal.
I am one of those fans that actually really enjoying the reboot movie. It got me invested in the characters instead of waiting for the action. So, I hope there is a sequel that will now build on what was set up in that movie and that Hasbro see something in that movie franchise.
I love how diverse power rangers is and how it's still going to this day, while I may not like these newer seasons too much I'm very happy my nephew can grow up loving the power rangers just as much as I did. I'm hoping Hasbro can keep the great things going!
Wild Nerd Speculation: Considering the close ties between Disney and Hasbro along with the ties between Super Sentai and Marvel, we may see Spider-Man show up at some point to celebrate an upcoming Super Sentai anniversary, where it was a spin-off of the Japanese live action Spider-Man series. Not to mention Super Sentai was originally going to be Captain America (and possibly the Avengers). Son't get me started on the possible Transformers crossovers with Combiners vs. Megazords
I think the Zords will benefit from Transformers engineering. My biggest...concern is what they will do about the shows moving forward, but my best guess is to be optimistic. Hasbro has been a LOT more aware of their content and have been taking control of it. They are rebooting Transformers on every level (comics, cartoons, movies we hope, etc) and I wouldn't be surprised if this means that Nickelodeon will start airing Hasbro shows too, INCLUDING Power Rangers.
Castle of Fiction I think he could handle the explosions/pyrotechnics behind the rangers when they morph extremely well. That would be his sole purpose on set lol
RodimusPrimal Transformers are so good because of Takara’s engineering, which Hasbro is partnered with. Hasbro’s contribution to the property has always been the IP and story development. But they likely can’t bring Takara in on PR. Bandai (Real Bandai, Bandai Japan. Not the unrelated Bandai America that just lost the license.) Still has the primary Sentai license. And will forever given their stake in Toei. Hasbro will be a vast improvement in the action figures. On par with Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black.
This is the prime time to do a crossover, especially if they adapt ToQger or Zyuohger. ToQger has a train that COULD travel dimensions and Zyuohger has an animal world that can be linked to the Pony world (if they want that).
To be honest, I don't think Hasbro will ruin Power Rangers. I am more worried the public's interest. I liked the Lionsgate's Power Rangers (2017) we got last year, but I guess the majority of the American audience wasn't going and see it due to low box office results. Hasbro and Saban would need to do something really engaging to get Power Rangers to a higher pop culture level.
Manuel Orozco They might need to appeal in a certain genre that might catch the public attention, like drama. I'm not saying to go full-on Riverdale on Power Rangers, although I would like some drama in a new incarnation. Power Rangers might need to be a little bit more serious like the movie if it wants to appeal to audiences, not just for entertainment purposes, but something the audience can connect to. Do something really outstandish to catch people's attention on TV or streaming where different parts of the public can view it on. If more people started getting into, I bet a next movie and the future of the franchise will have positive results.
Kitsune Pryde Adi Shankar wanted to do R-rated MMPR Netflix series I think he was talking with Saban about the project a couple years ago and nothing about it after that
Ya bar, i dont rly like the ideia r rated, i dunno How could work, maybe something pscicological like evangelion? They re teenager fighting a space Witch, i wanna something Fun, with a good caracther development
Kitsune Pryde Yeah that's what I was thinking but also I would like to see the live action series on netflix with a good budget. It'll be better then nick and saban cause saban ruined it for me.
I haven't watched Power Rangers in years, but i'm a big fan of the comics. However, the main thing I care about is that the classic Power Rangers theme can now be a card in DropMix and that makes me SO HAPPY!
Wish you all could have experienced the phenomenon when PR first aired. It was such a great time. I was 12 when it first aired and being in the fandom and a part of that was great
In high school I went over a friends house to hang out. Instead of talking with her like a good friend, I got into a heated discussion with her 9 year old brother about what season of power rangers was the best. I loved that it gave me a connection with a completely different generation that I never would have had otherwise.
I kinda hoped they made a sequel to the movie. I was looking forward to see what, if anything, they were going to do with Tommy. Also, you're not lying on Walgreens lol
Yeah they've been releasing each member one at a time over the course of this last year or so, and I think The Thing is the next and last in line for the FF unless they do a doom figure
Bull crap! Say what you will of the guy, but he knows action. Rangers is cheese with a Zord full of action. Transformers is a perfect example of how a Bay Rangers film would be. Get someone to Co-write with him (or preferably write instead of) and we could have a good film like the first Transformers.
The guy had Swastikas hung in the birthplace of Winston Churchill just so he'd have a nice backdrop for a scene in a movie. Imagine (if you're American) having Confederate flags hung in the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. Offensive, isn't it?
DragonJedi0 He knows how to make action boring. Almost everyone’s notice all his Transformers movies are the same movie. It’s become a running joke that he himself has noted.
Personally, I’d like to see a PR movie sequel on Netflix. One of the things I enjoyed about the film was the chemistry of the cast. Becky, RJ, Ludi, Naomi and Dacre made that movie fun for me. Plus, a Power Rangers Netflix movie is almost too good to pass up. Hasbro, make it happen
Ryan Brown True and it would be cool as long as the sequel makes slight revisions from last time. I want more action a consistent tone while retaining the cast chemistry and character growth.
The number one thing I'm hoping that is that this move will prompt Hasbro to push Power Rangers back into the light of more sophisticated and nuanced presentation that is consistent, rather than what is happening right now. I didn't have this issue in the past, but in light of Shattered Grid, the movie, Hyperforce, and other aspects of the brand, it's utterly infuriating that the main core of the brand, the show itself, is being presented as toddler fodder with no respect for its audience.
Some are suggesting a series aimed at an older audience, but maybe the solution is simpler than that? Shows like Last Airbender give us something inviting to children that's still critically praised by adult fans even years after it ended. Maybe just treating the audience with a more nuanced and mature tone even while making it "for children" could be enough to open the door for that older audience.
I thin ninja steel is still good but with some very obvious problems. So yeah I agree that this needed to happen. I trust the writers at Hasbro to make it more like your saying and like how power rangers used to be. The only one I've watched is my little pony but it's storytelling has been incredibly strong and they've done some dark things for their stories.
Great video, I think you hit many valid points and I agree sometimes it's too easy to get tunnel vision especially with a franchise like Power Rangers. Glad to hear your thoughts on this, and I feel that your viewpoint on fandom for this can be applied to all our other favorite IPs, what better way to keep the things we love relevant than finding ways to be appealing to multiple generations of fans. By the way have you been reading the comics (have you even had time to? lol) If you have what are your thoughts on that?
I'm concerned about how this will affect the TV show too Andre. PR wasn't a big part of my boyhood. But my first season was SPD. Then four years ago I watched all nine seasons in order on Netflix and the others out of order. Neo Saban is awesome but not as the old Saban and Disney quality wise. As for the movies, I want the same cast the most from last year but time to kick things up a notch. Overall, in the mixed about Hasbro owning Power Rangers. But we'll wait and see. May the power protect us always
Castle of Fiction Why thank you. I just love Power Rangers in general too much to not enjoy what we had in the past few years. After all you never know what you would be missing out on.
Sorry Samurai and Megaforce are crap, Dino charge is awesome, Ninja steel is good but with some very big problems that come from the circumstances of the neo saban era. This really REALLY needed to happen.
Begins watching a video about Andre's opinion about the Hasbro acquisition of Power Rangers...............completely glued to the background monitor showing the Super Mario World hub for the entire time #NintendoFan
I want a PG-13 Power Rangers series SOOOO BAD!!!! It needs actual severe injuries that come with those big blows that literally GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE BODY. And blood, please, blood, and pain, and mental problems, and just...things like that...you know?
I am also curious as to what this means for Super Sentai. I mean, Super Sentai would still be licensed for source footage sure, but how can two different toy companies have input on the development of the base property (and Power Rangers does have some influance on how Sentai is themed, anyway..).
I'm very excited, my thoughts are your thoughts basically. I liked that idea you mentioned in another video of a CW style PR show for an older audience "Angel Grove" or what have you. I would also like to see an animated show. Love Hyperforce btw!
I really hope Hasbro does a soft sequel-boot of the Power Rangers movie. Keep the cast & main plot but maybe change up the tone and atmosphere and show more Rangers being Rangers. The last movie did a good job making us care for the team so at this point they can just pick up the ball and start running.
They'll continue to translate the Japanese Sentai into English for more power ranger seasons. Not much they would do , unless they plan to put significant budget in
I would love an animated Power Ranger series! That way they could blend all the versions of Power Rangers, do something new completely, and have those crossovers! Heck yeah I would love to see MLP/Power Ranger ponies in a classrooms one day! I would totally buy a few for the little ones. 😄 Overall, I think this is a good move for everyone involved and will likely keep the franchise going for another 25 years so that's good. I only watched up till Zeo/Turbo? (Idk I stopped when Sailor Moon came out. But that makes an OG fan right?) I still love my 🐸 Ranger. 😄 Nice video. ❤️👍🏾
My penultimate hope for an animated Power Rangers would be a co-existence with the live action show. How so? Well, let the live action show continue to adapt Sentai going forward, but the Animated series adapt sentai from the PAST. Past seasons of Super Sentai are never going to be adapted because of the quality of the footage being unworkable to today's quality standards. With animation, you can take the designs, plot elements, and even some choreography, and make all of the visuals match up. You could even easily have a running narrative like the Mighty Morphin' through In Space days without virtually any of the problems that caused back in the day.
That does bring us to a big question: Can we start dissociating rangers from their human counterparts? Otherwise people will moan whenever they bring past Rangers. I mean, look at Super Hero Taisen and how few of the Rangers in that were unmasked.
I'm more of a Sentai fan, so it's a bit disappointing to see this happen: it means I can't just grab the cheaper Bandai of America versions of the merchandise anymore, though they haven't been using the same molds for a while anyway. On the other hand, maybe Hasbro will do better than BoA has in recent years. Here's an idea: they should make the figures smaller, the same size as their Star Wars stuff. A smaller size would allow them to make better figures without raising the price, and they could do stuff like figure-scale zords.
Power Rangers 2017 could be a great start to a Hasbro Cinematic Universe. It was well liked by mot people, and then a rebooted Transformers set in the new universe would get more people to see the original. They will help each other.
Elbert I hope they make a sequel. With Hasbro now owning they have options. While I loved the new film I could see Hasbro doing a soft reboot or maybe a full reboot. Who knows though. Sky is the limit at this point
John Jacobs I am hoping for small reboot but full is all right as long as done right that will please everyone who has loved the franchise at some point in their lives.
i would love the idea of an animated power rangers show! you could turn so many of the action scenes that may seem a bit awkward or corny to do live action to seem a lot more, ironically, believable when done in animation
You kind of hit on something we discussed when recording NPS this week. As much as PR has been talked about as of late, it hasn't been about the actual show. Between the movie, comic, legacy line, Hyperforce, etc. it's the show that should drive the franchise and yet it feels marginalized. I agree that it'd be nice to see some sort of off shoot on Netflix or another streaming service be it live action or animated. I also agree that the regular show should co-exist in order to bring in new fans. However, it also needs to be revamped. Neo Saban still has a 1993 attitude when it comes to the show and with all of the great stuff that is available for kids of that age, PR comes off like an antiquated dinosaur (no pun intended). Something needs to happen to make the show accessible and fresh under the Hasbro banner. Stuff like Dino Charge and Ninja Steel isn't cutting it.
Curious if they will continue filming in New Zealand as they've been doing that since like Ninja Storm. That could open things up for Legacy Rangers to come back or be more involved, especially if they film in the US or Canada. Also, if we don't get a kick ass Power Rangers and Transformers crossover, then I don't even know why they'd bother to buy the series!
Haven’t even finished this video but a sequel to Power Rangers 2017 better be on the way cause it was LIT! Most people that I know who aren’t fans of PR still loved the movie!!
I suspect that Hasbro is setting up its own Cinematic Multimedia Shared Universe, Andre. Power Rangers, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and M.A.S.K..... it doesn't take a genius to see the possibilities these franchises bring if combined together, man. Great video! Keep up the great work!
The ones i grew up with and love are Mighty morphine, Time Force 😫, Dino Thunder, SPD and Ninja Storm. Lost me with the one when they was in the forest or something like that
wow. Awesome video. I am a little scared that Hasbro is buying up everything but as long as they give Power Rangers the love and attention the brand deserves I am excited to see what they do with it. I also hope that we get a new movie!!!!
Just A Common Fan Yeessss!!! I hope Hasbro keeps Saban's promise of a six movie story arch. I literally go on my knees and pray everyday for that to work out. Hardcore fan over here.💓💓💓💓
Same here! There is so much rich lore that they can explore. I really enjoyed the first movie as I took it for what it was. I hope we do get that 6 movie arc as well!
If they spent that much money for the rights, obviously they intend to use it. Maybe that means more than new seasons, a new movie perhaps... The recent release wasn't "bad" but it could have been better and that's definitely what I'm hoping for. Eventually I wanna see the rescue soldiers on the big screen. Hell, they could possibly recycle actors from the show for nostalgic value
I first got into the series with either Lost Galaxy or Light Speed Rescue i'm not sure which i remember watching Light Speed Rescue more but my Grandma had a Red Lost Galaxy Ranger figure i would play with but i have been watching ever since it's one of my fave series. As soon as i heard of this deal i thought the best out come is a Transformers Power Rangers Crossover which would be Awesome and maybe another TMNT crossover :D Also i just thought of something if Power Rangers comics go to IDW maybe we get more comic series about different Ranger teams i mean IDW has like 3 or more Transformers series so getting series about other teams aside from the MMPR would be Awesome
@@kjs257incpen3 having heard the rumors of the next film, I don't trust Hasbro to do the right thing. But petitions take time, so it never hurts to try
I first came across you in the Hyperforce videos here on UA-cam ... I had no idea you had your own channel... I am a huge fan of your content now, thanks for randomly showing up on my recommended videos lol Awesome video, I love that Power Rangers is still loved, I grew up watching MMPR and have never stopped being a fan, no shame in being a 33 year old Power Rangers fan lol ANYWAY, awesome work Andre, keep it up.
I grew up mainly with post zordon (lost galaxy-wildforce) and I use those seasons as a standard on how the show should be (character development and story wise)
I met Steve Cardenas at a con a couple weeks ago and he told me that Saban has been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to Shattered Grid and that they're talking about making it a TV series. Whether or not it happens is another story entirely, but it's nice to know it's at least being considered.
Nigel Chinclucker I am okay with Super but I want longer seasons too. The hiatuses they take are why I don't watch Nickelodeon anymore except when Power Rangers is on.
I don't think we'll get Super Seasons, but I don't think we'll be getting larger seasons... or shows period; I've been noticing a few things in these newer shows that may lead to issues making 40 episodes, such as less footage (Go-Busters), tone issues (ToQger), fewer monsters (Zyuohger), and high expenses (Kyuranger)... then again, I suppose Hasbro could be weirdly generous this time.
No; they can get the footage easily, but it's what in the footage that's the problem. Go-Busters apparently has much less functional footage than other seasons, meaning more stock footage may have to be used; ToQger is probably too comical and goofy for Power Rangers, meaning a good portion of the footage may have to be cut out; Zyuohger has far less monsters to use, which could be a problem; and Kyuranger is so ambitious, it may be too expensive to hold the show for two years. I'm not saying it will happen, but is very possible.
From what I understand (Nth hand knowledge here, so generous helpings of salt need to be taken,) the SUPER season limitation is Nickelodeon problem rather than a Saban problem. So the rumor mill goes, Nickelodeon requires seasons of a show to be a certain episode length. Since Power Rangers seasons since Zeo have been entire ranger teams, that length was too much for Nick, so the workaround to get a classic season's length out of a new team was a pseudo second season. The SUPER season as it were. With Power Rangers staying on Nick, it stands to reason that the Super seasons will remain unless Hasbro has a LOT of pull with Nickelodeon.
How crazy would it be if they made a sequel to the movie but made it more appealing to kids have the same cast a much bigger budget and a longer runtime with much more action ?
An animated Power Rangers series honestly would be the best. They could bring in old actors to guest star without actually having to fly them out and don’t have to worry about relying on Sentai footage.
I had no idea Hasbro has their own convention. Every thing you said in this video Andre are the exact same things I've been thinking about. If we notice that change and Hasbro can cater to the kids as well as the older fans then we will be A-OK. Thanks for your opinion play cousin
I'm really glad you made this video. It's funny because literally the first thing I thought after hearing the news was "I wonder what Andre thinks" hahaha. You mentioned a lot of things, and briefly mention Legacy wars. But I really hope this mean we may see some great console Power Rangers games. It just gives me a headache to think there hasn't been a "Dynasty Warriors" type power ranger game or any major video games with the Rangers.
Andre can you please make daily videos
I've considered it. Quality vs Quantity is always an argument I have with myself in regards to UA-cam. Same with "Long essay/podcast style" vs. "Quick punch UA-cam style" - Appreciate the feedback.
Andre I have been watching your videos since 2014
Thank you for replying

I KNOW HIM! He’s a friend from work!
So, is it true you were attracted to Shattered Grid?
Side note: I saw your Tomb Raider fan film. Katie Wilson Thor have baby arm.
I know that reference! XD
Katie Wilson lmao. He really is just a co-worker. Stop trying to get points by labeling him as a friend lol
Hasbro if you’re reading this feel free to take this idea:
A Nerf power axe from MMPR that also functions as a nerf gun and shoots darts like in the show.
Oooh! I like that! The Nerf brand hasn't really expanded that much. So, why not crossover with other franchises?
Delohn Wyatt good idea.
NERF MMPR Blade Blasters that can function as both sword and blaster.... COME ON, HASBRO!
I'd even settle for an SPD blaster Shell for a Nerf gun
Dont forget the already wobbly nerf swords!
Obviously we're getting Power Rangers in Avengers 4.
More like Power Rangers in Transformers and G. I. Joe movies.
"Zordon, i don't feel so good..."
That would be amazing .
Mark Keller What if the G I Joe actually become the Power Rangers ?
Kyle Towers Technically, MMPR did that first.
I want a sequel to the Power Rangers movie that came out a few years ago. I liked those kids and hope to see the Green Ranger in the sequel.
Mythology Guy the movie came out a year ago
Gonna miss Andre say "I AM SABAN"
I'll never stop that! Ha ha!
William Morgan coming soon "I AM HASBRO!"
Luke A 119
I am Steve Rogers.
I'd be down for a really dope power rangers animated series
big stacie reacts let dc do an animated series or movie. They always deliver in that aspect. Maybe something in the vein of that dark gritty future timeline of the power rangers that was going around on UA-cam like 4/5 years ago
big stacie reacts Me too! But Power Rangers stands out in being live-action wackyness so I'd be concerned about that. (I would want both lol)
big stacie reacts I'll only be in for that as long as Animated show makes sense creatively.
Maybe a spin off can work down the road ahead
i'm still hoping for a power rangers 2017 sequel
jack lajoie Same
Same here, I loved it
jack lajoie
Me too
Same though I'd tell no one ever, besides this one comment
I hope Hasbro gets the tv shows back to the old standard, because right now they are an eye sore. Remember Time Force, Light speed Rescue and In Space? Those were morphenomenal.
and RPM
So does this mean that the Red T-Rex zord throwing Bumblebee is canon now?
Spencer Brus Yes
when Hasbro Saw that they were like "Yeah.... see you in 2018"
Maybe that's how Hasbro found out about Power Rangers and said.... "Hmmmmmm" LOL!
Where can I see this
The 2017 movie. Where you been when we needed you brah...?
I am one of those fans that actually really enjoying the reboot movie. It got me invested in the characters instead of waiting for the action. So, I hope there is a sequel that will now build on what was set up in that movie and that Hasbro see something in that movie franchise.

Hasbro makes Hyper Force toys and I'm placing my Vesper and Eddie cuddling on my shelf!

Obviously you've never played with minipla.
No, I've only seen them in person at New York Comic Con behind a glass case. From what I can tell, they remind me of Gundam Action Figure model kits.
RodimusPrimal Transformers are so good because of Takara’s engineering, which Hasbro is partnered with. Hasbro’s contribution to the property has always been the IP and story development. TAKE A SHOT EVERY TIME HE SAYS “POWER RANGERS”
Calling it now, ultimate Hasbro crossover comic, power rangers meets transformers, g.i. Joe, and my little pony
Already saving my money for it LOL!
Ninja Greg Show Won't surprise me. Especially with Transformers
This is the prime time to do a crossover, especially if they adapt ToQger or Zyuohger. ToQger has a train that COULD travel dimensions and Zyuohger has an animal world that can be linked to the Pony world (if they want that).

TheRichRoom I did love the movie last year but good point. So what do you suggest PR does?
Like any film sequel should do. Double on what worked in the last film and/or change what didn't work from the film.
Manuel Alberto Romero That's exactly what I am hoping for
TheRichRoom but the merch money fill that BO Results
Manuel Orozco

Netflix! PR need a animated Netflix series!
Something like Voltron with The MMPR
Kitsune Pryde Adi Shankar wanted to do R-rated MMPR Netflix series I think he was talking with Saban about the project a couple years ago and nothing about it after that

That pause at 0:05-0:09 i thought my phone froze on me.lol😂😂
I’d love for Hyperforce would be great as an animated series. It would be amazing!!!!!!
I remember watching SPD and Mystic Force Power Rangers. Also really liked the Power Rangers movie 2017.
Entertainment Buddy Those were my first two seasons of PR
My first season was either ninja storm or Dino Thunder
Retrozaid me too
Wish you all could have experienced the phenomenon when PR first aired. It was such a great time. I was 12 when it first aired and being in the fandom and a part of that was great
Entertainment Buddy i did like those and i enjoyed the movie only i wish they did better with the costume and zord design.

0:03 "Well, there's a simple explanation for that."
Hahahahaha... I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE! Oh Gosei...
I kinda hoped they made a sequel to the movie. I was looking forward to see what, if anything, they were going to do with Tommy. Also, you're not lying on Walgreens lol
Its better to reboot it.
This is EXACTLY what Power Rangers needs! A big name company handling a franchise like this!
Is that sarcasm?
"Go Go Hasbro Rangers , You Mighty Morphin Hasbro Rangers "!!!
Red Prime Ranger Power!
Pauses at the beginning like he has an opening is the funniest thing I've ever seen
Yeah Walgreens is no joke, they even get store exclusive merch, like exclusive Marvel legends figures, such as the recent fantastic four figures
Dan White they get really good exclusive pops as well.
FANTASTIC FOUR?!?!? HOLY CRUD I GOTTA GO GET THOSE RIGHT FREAKING NOW!!!!!!
Yeah they've been releasing each member one at a time over the course of this last year or so, and I think The Thing is the next and last in line for the FF unless they do a doom figure
If you keep Michael Bay off it, I'm a happy Ranger.

I'm not going to dignify that with a response. I stand by what I said.
Combat King 0
Honestly don’t care about any of that at all.
DragonJedi0
He knows how to make action boring.
Almost everyone’s notice all his Transformers movies are the same movie. It’s become a running joke that he himself has noted.
Toys, Andre! Toys! (Possibly a cartoon series........I would love a cartoon based on the comics)
Rite aid, Walgreens, and CVS have really good power rangers toys... often a mix of older and newer toys.
Ryan Brown I have Netflix and that's not a bad idea.
Manuel Orozco plus all the seasons are already on Netflix, so a movie is pretty much the logical next step
Ryan Brown True and it would be cool as long as the sequel makes slight revisions from last time. I want more action a consistent tone while retaining the cast chemistry and character growth.
YES! have Nickelodeon for the kids and have Netflix for the "Mature/SENTAI-serious" series for us Legacy/older crowd!
Nah better to reboot it.
Pio Nepomuceno I don't read the comics or watch Hyperforce. But I loved the movie last year
Some are suggesting a series aimed at an older audience, but maybe the solution is simpler than that? Shows like Last Airbender give us something inviting to children that's still critically praised by adult fans even years after it ended. Maybe just treating the audience with a more nuanced and mature tone even while making it "for children" could be enough to open the door for that older audience.
Avatar and Voltron treatment would be sufficient.
ShadowWolfRising Avatar and Power Rangers were two of my first exposures to serialized storytelling
Hasbro will make a Andre action figure. Knowing that's even possible is still pretty cool!
I wanted a sequel to the movie with RJ Cyler and the crew.
Same thing
2:30 THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT SOMEONE WHO HAS INFORMATION WOULD SAY!
Dr . Wub yahhhh
He doesn’t have information on that dead film franchise.
Keep your conspiracy theory going LOL. #PowerRangersIlluminati
Andre "Black Nerd" I'm onto you, I know your hiding information on a long awaited sequel to Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles crossover. The jig is up.
You forgot transformers
Y'know, you're the first person I've heard to compliment Neo-Saban
Castle of Fiction Why thank you. I just love Power Rangers in general too much to not enjoy what we had in the past few years. After all you never know what you would be missing out on.
Sorry Samurai and Megaforce are crap, Dino charge is awesome, Ninja steel is good but with some very big problems that come from the circumstances of the neo saban era. This really REALLY needed to happen.
RedfurredPikachu We have our own opinions.
The Olive Tree you ok there bud?
Ok...
Lost Galaxy had some blood and I think time force did as well during the serious fights
The Olive Tree Definitely want an Arrowverse Power Rangers.
A mature Power Rangers series would be awesome!
Sorry if this sounds weird but.....
I want to see you as a power ranger action figure!!!
I hope this means that we will *definitely* get a sequel.
I'm honestly surprised we haven't gotten a Power Rangers animated series by this point
So am I. That would be cool
I am also curious as to what this means for Super Sentai. I mean, Super Sentai would still be licensed for source footage sure, but how can two different toy companies have input on the development of the base property (and Power Rangers does have some influance on how Sentai is themed, anyway..).
Transformers combined
Being controlled power rangers
Fighting giant Little ponies
CONFIRMED!!!!@
Khandar William Here Here!
Never trust a pony.
and i thought i was random
They need to make a sequel to the power rangers movie from last year that will be dope.
I'm very excited, my thoughts are your thoughts basically. I liked that idea you mentioned in another video of a CW style PR show for an older audience "Angel Grove" or what have you. I would also like to see an animated show. Love Hyperforce btw!
I just want a sequel to the movie.
I really hope Hasbro does a soft sequel-boot of the Power Rangers movie. Keep the cast & main plot but maybe change up the tone and atmosphere and show more Rangers being Rangers. The last movie did a good job making us care for the team so at this point they can just pick up the ball and start running.
Darryl Postley Jr. That's what I am hoping for the most. Get a new Bulk & Skull while they are at it
Its got to be a sequel, it makes the most sense
I still want a movie sequel to the recent one that came out. AND I WONT STOP WANTING IT TIL IT HAPPENS!
Love this style of video and fully endorse/support more of these kinds of videos please do more of them. Thank you
Thank you for that feedback!
AfroMiscreant II That would be cool. And you missed out on In Space because it was a slight improvement from Turbo
Animated would allow for effects that look a little less wonky than live action. No having to edit around already established footage.
Rota Abyssian I would be up for as long as there's not too many behind the scenes set backs.
That does bring us to a big question: Can we start dissociating rangers from their human counterparts? Otherwise people will moan whenever they bring past Rangers. I mean, look at Super Hero Taisen and how few of the Rangers in that were unmasked.
The Walgreens joke has officially made you my favorite youtuber
I want a Power Rangers/ Transformers Crossover
I'm more of a Sentai fan, so it's a bit disappointing to see this happen: it means I can't just grab the cheaper Bandai of America versions of the merchandise anymore, though they haven't been using the same molds for a while anyway. On the other hand, maybe Hasbro will do better than BoA has in recent years. Here's an idea: they should make the figures smaller, the same size as their Star Wars stuff. A smaller size would allow them to make better figures without raising the price, and they could do stuff like figure-scale zords.
I really hope that we get our Sequel for the 2017 movie. (Not by Michael Bay)
Power Rangers 2017 could be a great start to a Hasbro Cinematic Universe. It was well liked by mot people, and then a rebooted Transformers set in the new universe would get more people to see the original. They will help each other.
Richard Knight I'm not familiar with all these Hasbro brands but that would be so cool
Atleast it won’t be called “Saban’s Power Rangers”...dumbest marketing idea ever...it’s just Power Rangers!
dmartini1487 hmmm... Hasbro's Power Rangers?
Still subbed with the "Saban's" name.
Disney tried to make an animated PR show, but Toei turned it down.
Hoping for power ranger movie sequel for the power ranger movie too. Gonna meet you Andre in Power Morphicon.
Elbert
I hope they make a sequel.
John Jacobs hoping the sequel is the reboot
Elbert I agree
+John Jacobs I wonder if lion gates will work with Hasbro
Shoulda had an explosion in the background after "There is a simple reason for that...."
Loved that the Video started out with a Megaforce expiation reference
i would love the idea of an animated power rangers show! you could turn so many of the action scenes that may seem a bit awkward or corny to do live action to seem a lot more, ironically, believable when done in animation
Hasbro could make a movie minus the doughnut product placement
But Krispy Kreme is deicious!!!!
Andre "Black Nerd" no debate and love the videos they got my girl addicted to riverdale
Jamel Watson I am fine whether they remain in New Zealand or return to America
Haven’t even finished this video but a sequel to Power Rangers 2017 better be on the way cause it was LIT!
Most people that I know who aren’t fans of PR still loved the movie!!
I suspect that Hasbro is setting up its own Cinematic Multimedia Shared Universe, Andre. Power Rangers, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and M.A.S.K..... it doesn't take a genius to see the possibilities these franchises bring if combined together, man. Great video! Keep up the great work!
I'd low-key buy a bunch of power ranger ponies
so is it now Hasbro's Power Rangers
I was really used to that SABAN logo
Im still waiting for a dam sequel for Power Rangers
As would I... but who knows at this point...
I agree with you 100 percent.
I agree with you 100 percent.
Just A Common Fan 6 movies is doubtful at this rate but I want it too. Especially the whole Zordon era
I'm hoping they will make the Power Rangers sequel
Nah better to reboot it.
I've been saying for a while that an animated Power Rangers series would be very interesting. Especially on Netflix and if it's a team I really loved.
I first got into the series with either Lost Galaxy or Light Speed Rescue i'm not sure which i remember watching Light Speed Rescue more but my Grandma had a Red Lost Galaxy Ranger figure i would play with but i have been watching ever since it's one of my fave series.
As soon as i heard of this deal i thought the best out come is a Transformers Power Rangers Crossover which would be Awesome and maybe another TMNT crossover :D
Also i just thought of something if Power Rangers comics go to IDW maybe we get more comic series about different Ranger teams i mean IDW has like 3 or more Transformers series so getting series about other teams aside from the MMPR would be Awesome
Power Rangers Shattered Grid animated series
better late than never Lets start a Petition
@@kjs257incpen3 having heard the rumors of the next film, I don't trust Hasbro to do the right thing. But petitions take time, so it never hurts to try
I hope we get a second movie because of this
SAME!!
I first came across you in the Hyperforce videos here on UA-cam ... I had no idea you had your own channel...
I am a huge fan of your content now, thanks for randomly showing up on my recommended videos lol
Awesome video, I love that Power Rangers is still loved, I grew up watching MMPR and have never stopped being a fan, no shame in being a 33 year old Power Rangers fan lol
ANYWAY, awesome work Andre, keep it up.
I'm still hoping ....can we get that 2nd power ranger movie with tommy
Nah better to reboot it.
Yeah, me too :D It's a shame that he didn't get at least a cameo in the end-credits!
I grew up mainly with post zordon (lost galaxy-wildforce) and I use those seasons as a standard on how the show should be (character development and story wise)
crazyraptor Great idea
I already tweeted out my dream crossover to the writer of MMPR: Pink and Jem comics for a Kimber + Kimberly collab
I met Steve Cardenas at a con a couple weeks ago and he told me that Saban has been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to Shattered Grid and that they're talking about making it a TV series. Whether or not it happens is another story entirely, but it's nice to know it's at least being considered.
Jesse Gaunce I can’t wait to see Steve as Red Ranger Rocky tomorrow in the big 25th anniversary episode.
I'm hoping they'll make the seasons longer, so we don't have to go through a super season.
You're saying there has been issues getting footage from the Super Sentai shows?
Katakuri Fan That would be cool.
Andre it’s a great time to be a power rangers fan
Edward Sanchez Productions I do hope you are right
But Sentai is better
as of now Sentai is WAYYYYY BETTER.
J Smooth Soul Beats The latest sentai seasons have been pretty trash too tbh. Especially Ninenger
kyuranger and lupin vs pat are better then power ranger today by miles. ninenger is like 5 years old
Walgreens has its own funko exclusives. XD
Midnight here in Brazil but I'm a part of the Squad By The Bell.
É nois
Hasbro's Power Rangers 2: Dawn of the Green Ranger late 2019 or Hasbro's Power Rangers Reboot in the 2020s
JasonMarvelDCMMPR I'll be okay if the movies start over as long as done right. But I loved last year's movie cast
How da hell are you not working for Hasbro yet?!? All your ideas where pretty on point and even got interested in buying anything you said.
An animated Power Rangers series honestly would be the best. They could bring in old actors to guest star without actually having to fly them out and don’t have to worry about relying on Sentai footage.
Mike P That would be cool
