This channel alone does more for American Motorsport, mostly Indycar, than any major network. Thank you so much for the work everyone puts it, it is much appreciated. Awesome to hear from a F2 champ new to American tracks.
I have lived long enough to see Josef being the fun, loving, Mr. Everybody, to seeing him fall into the lava as Ed Carpenter screams,"you were the chosen one!"
I watched Josef's news conference as a result of watching this. He's not my favorite driver, far from it. But I think he tried to explain things, and I think he was being forthright and honest. Good job, Josef. Gutsy move, I was impressed with what he did. I have done dumb things like that.
They need to make Newgarden the villain of the series and milk it for all its worth. If the drivers already do not like him then this should be easy. If IndyCar wants viewers they really need to turn this into a positive and make their disgust for Penske and its team public. He could become the Raiders of the 70s, the Pistons of the 80s, the Yankees of ......all time, Patrick Mahomes brother. Anything to spice the series up. This made NASCAR really popular in the late 90s early 2000s. People did not like Jeff Gordon very much because he was an outsider who came in and did well. Earnhardt understood this and played it up. Gordon understood and played it up. A little anger at other drivers from the drivers made public would be good for ratings which they really need right now.
I think Romain Grosjean has a lock on the villian role ;0] I honestly didn't know Josef was loathed by other drivers? Regardless that is who I root for, but he seems to have a bit of Schumacher ruthlessness also. I also see a rift between him and Mclaughlin that came from somewhere, not that I know of anything in particular.
It will be interesting to say the least if Josef actually manages to win back to back 500s. I don't think Indycar nor NBC would be willing to go down the route you're suggesting if he did win it. They would see it as a stain on their crown jewel race to lean into how unpopular the winner has become.
You know. EVERYONE makes mistakes. Even certain drivers who are bad mouthing the situation. That energy is not helping. If the series can’t move on because these individuals continue to attack Penske, then maybe they should leave. It’s complicated. It’s messy. NO ONE DIED. However, a lot of people are trying to hurt JN spirit. Can we just be nice to each other and acknowledge a mistake happened. Move on. Forgive. Be a grown up. There are a lot of new young fans watching & these “adults” are setting an example. Some are not good.
I don't know what to make of this likability reporting. Is there a level of pal-ing up to one's fellow drivers that makes cheating less bad? And if so, why?
Standoffish?? What? Not to my son and me hasn't! 😂 Always been super Nice and kind. Always takes a pic and signs all my kids stuff. Super nice guy always to us. Did everyone already forget his running into the stands after winning the 500? All these other drivers we'll be eating crow and crying into their cornflakes when he comes from behind and wins it all this year
Bunch of damn babies. Get over it. Hard to say what's true or not but JN is still my guy. Push to pass is stupid anyway. Just race and let the chips fall where they may.
Cindric needs to go. Guilty or not they screwed up and somebody has to take the fall. Another nail in the coffin for Honda leaving. Expect a spec chassis and engine soon
@@FallingPicturesProductions Huh ? F1 has some of the worst samples of cheating ! USAC ? Tons ! Racing and human nature=possibility of cheating .. Move on …

I’ve missed these trackside videos with MP so much
I'm a simple man. I see an IndyCar qualifying report video with Marshall, and I click.
I am French and I'm very happy to see Theo in Indycar. I hope he can find a wheel next year for all the season !

Theo's doing really good. He could get a top 10 tomorrow.
I hope it's not a race where **everyone** is fuel saving.
How so? He was half a second off his teammate and the only other driver he beat in qualy was Pietro Fittipaldi.

If you don't want to kick someone when they are down, then please just quit kicking.

Saving tires for the race, just like LB…
David is in so much trouble...

Before joining Penske, Newgarden was a great guy. Since he has been standoffish to fans and perhaps fellow drivers.
