For those who are saying that ehy they're investing in this brand while their competitors are sitting on top , The upcoming food business will depend upon its health as well as taste, that's why almost every new food entrepreneur is focusing on healthy products, Instagram was launched when the Facebook was the king , everyone had Facebook but still Instagram came up with their own idea. Even now Facebook has more active users, Instagram sits at top in everything else , also when UA-cam was launched, people thought why would they need it , now everyone needs UA-cam, that's how market works. Anupam made a great deal..1cr for 15% meaning per shak 20LAC for 3%..and originally ashneer was for 60lac for 5% meaning 36lac for 3% or 30 lac per 2.5..its a slight loss for the owner but yes money doesn't too much matter if they got expertise from 5 masters..

I think shark tank India is a marketing platform for startup. This show is backed by VC’s to test product market fit by using trp and market sales after episode is aired. And there must be other metrics for media and entertainment industry .

Still i was a bit weirded out by the fact that neither of the sharks pointed out that this type of product already exists in india ( atleast in delhi it does) and they have done this with other pitches ( if a product is alreay in the indian market the outright correct the pitcher about it ) but not in this case

When he was in need of 45 lacs ..... Why the so called "smart sharks" offered 1 crore?

I think they wanted to exploit the situation and grabbed more share in equity at lower cost.
In my opinion Kabra should have accepted 60 lacs with 5% equity and 2 sharks offer rather than 1 crore with 15% equity and 5 sharks (eating up more equity at lower cost and more nuisance in working)
Finally sharks are at advantage.

These are a big hit and thier distribution has grown rapidly..i can find these from north to south in small and big cities.sharks will make good money from this deal.

Sharks are really sharks. At first deal was 5% for 45lakhs which means 9 lakhs for 1%. They agreed on 1cr for 15% which means 3% for each sharks with price of 6.67lakhs per 1%.(They decreased value of there shares themselves without realising it and come on u don't need 5 sharks' experience when you can get 2 sharks as well as more money) In my opinion it would have been beneficial if they had accepted offer of 60 lakhs for 5% means 12lakhs per 1% with experience of 2 sharks.

Tried the product. It was good. if you are planning on healthier products... would suggest to have a little more distinct flavor product. I had tried rasberry...it was more subtle flavor. would have loved it more if there was a more distinct flavor of rasberry. it is unique that natural flavors and colours are used... that leaves the tongue with no colour. thanks its a lovely product and could go back to our childhood memories

The offer made mo sense, ashneer and namita wanted 5% for 60 lakhs while aman, vineeta and anupam asked for 6% for 60 lakhs. If they add these 2 deals they'd get 1.2Cr for 11% and get all 5 sharks.

Till now out of the innumerable episodes I have seen of Shark Tank, this is the 1st in which I have seen Namita investing 😂
Not to disrespect the founders. I don't see that much value in this product that all 5 of them invest. They are mostly playing on the nostalgic factor which is unsustainable. Moreover there are already many many local copy cats making this product. Kid's and even parents don't really care if they bought it from skippy or someone else as long as its from the more superstore freezer. They'd normally buy something that's cheaper. I'd never really buy this even if it sells for 5 rupees. Makes no sense for an adult walking on streets with this in mouth. I won't buy for a kid either with so much sugar content.

These ice pops have been in the Australian market for ages, they just took the concept and created a brand, you can see the kangaroo on the logo still connects to Australia.
They've mentioned "Concept from Australia" near the ingredients list.

It's good for investor and owner. There is 7 Rs margin in retail.. that's 35% margin, hence thats why she said good price. Tomorrow, If any major beverage maker like pepsi starts making this in scale, he can sell this on 15 Rs, forcing them to reduce their margins....
