    Thanks for the review Tim. I find it odd there's no kick plate in the rear... DT can't be lazy about this kinda stuff there's too much competition this year imo... I'm 6'1" as well so I think the handlebar height is a no go for me...scooter sounded pretty nice otherwise

  • @robertm8401
    @robertm8401 3 роки тому +3

    Dualtron really needs to come up with locking grips, those stock omes rotate out of place.
    DT Victors also seem to come with tubes in the tires, tubeless would be nice.
    60V + 30Ah is awesome since it's not a huge scooter. For someone like me at 5.5 feet, it's just about perfect.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  3 роки тому +2

      I hadn't thought about the grips..they felt nice...but you're right locking grips would be safer.
      Tubeless tires is a dream!!! of mine :)
      and yes 60V 30AH is crazy :) :)
      Awesome machine :)

  • @Kuyaerwin
    @Kuyaerwin 2 роки тому +1

    Owner of the DT Victor and I absolutely love it! It’s not perfect. There’s a nagging squeaking sound coming from the stem. But I’ve managed to solve that already. Other than that…it is a beast!

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  2 роки тому

      Thanks for sharing!! How did you fix the squeak :)

    • @Kuyaerwin
      @Kuyaerwin 2 роки тому +2

      @@TimsElectric it comes from the part where the stem folds. It rubs together and accumulates debris for some weird reason so it gets dirty. When it gets dirty it makes that squeaking sound and it’s annoying. I clean the metal parts that fold using a microfiber cloth and a brake cleaner. Just spray the metal part that’s exposed when the victor is folded, then wipe it down clean. Check if there’s still squeaking after. If there’s a bit of squeaking, repeat the process. It should go away. But after a few rides, it will come back. So this time around I use a WD40. Same process…spray and wipe clean. Then if the squeaking comes back after a few rides, use the brake cleaner. I guess the victor just needs some TLC :)

    • @TimsElectric

      Hi Mike, in some ways yes.
      Let me explain. The Victor is a more powerful unit designed for speed and comfort.
      While the Emove Cruiser is designed for cruising or commuting :)
      Half the power but still has amazing range and good comfort.
      They're like two different beasts :)

    Good video! Question, in dual motor is it hard to moderate the speed...not sin front tire? I have warrior king w two 1500 watt motors 11" wheels 4" wide and it is really difficult to not spin the tires even with the acceleration and torque settings on their lowest...the throttle is same as victor did ou find throttle easy to go slow on Dual motors or is jumpy like the king? I think the controller and throttle must be very sensitive...not a good thing.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  3 роки тому

      @Grit Degrosse I didn't find it jumpy at all...you could adjust your P settings on your scooter and dial down the acceleration...that should help :)

    Great review. Looking to get a scooter and love the idea of the quality and range of the Victor but honestly, like you, have no interest in going 40-50mph. With that in mind would you recommend this scooter or a lower voltage one (something like the Apollo Phantom)?

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  3 роки тому +1

      Toby, I totally agree...I liked the scooter...it's solid, really well made but do I need to speed? I don't...perhaps there's an argument for the extra power in that even if you don't use it, it would have less wear on the bigger motors than getting something smaller.....not sure if that makes sense...sold machine though :)

      @@TimsElectric Thanks so much for the reply. I went to a local shop and saw a Victor today, definitely looks nice. I'm pretty torn between the Victor, Mantis 8 Pro and EMOVE Cruiser - which seem like an odd set since they seem like very different scooters. I suspect the EMOVE is enough scooter for me and I'm just getting carried away! Thanks again for the reply.

    • @TimsElectric

      tough choice indeed...all are awesome in their own right...I guess it might be best to figure out what you'll use the scooter for 95% of the time and get the one that's the best fit based on that...do let me know what you decide Toby :)

    Thank you for the video but I must say that the brakes are not smooth, they are really aggressive at first when you break, then the power of the brakes dim, the speed reduces itself and the braking is not sufficient... So two stages. I am talking about speeds of 50 km/h in town ✌️. It is even more aggressive when you ride over 65 km/h but you need to be aware of two things. The flexible stem is going to bend a bit and help you no to be overthrown and the second thing is that in the little display ou can access to different features such as the power of electric brakes (from 1 to 5) and it is really customizable. I'd recommend to start smoothly to get accustomed to the braking energy! But braking is efficient event at high speeds. Ride safe, wear a helmet and gloves and be careful of cars because they don't see you or too late!

      @frenchtiger thanks so much for sharing...what about the handling/tires and suspension...are you happy with it?

    • @frenchtiger
      @frenchtiger 3 роки тому +1

      @@TimsElectric suspensions are a bit hard at the beginning, because brand new, they are becoming really pleasant now after a few hours. I must say I avoid holes and try to ride on even roads (city) not off-road, though I use some gravel roads and no surprise if you don't accelerate too fast. The handling was surprising at once (flexible stem) but I understand the philosophy of the concept. Now it is a must amid the traffic. I like the possibilities of tuning acceleration, brakes (a little digital computer where speed is shown) . I like it at night when you can choose various lights 😍 blue, white, red. Classy. The only thing which is awful is the ABS which I disconnected. It is so unpleasant! Curves, speed, acceleration, comfort (big wheels), for me this scooter is a must because with the menus you can have a very progressive engine or a little demon. I am not as fit as you or most of you and need two arms to carry the Victor. I am small and light. Apart from this, 95% satisfied. It is my first scooter and it will last. The 5% negative remaining is that to inflate tyres, it is absurd but no room for a pump. You need to make a small space on the rim... And no space to put a chain across the wheels to prevent theft. I have to use a small ridiculous anti-theft around the suspension. But the weight constitutes a good obstacle!

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  3 роки тому +1

      Very interesting....you're right about locking it up...also filling up the tires...I didn't try that...sounds hard to do...95% happy is good 😃
