I think omitting item usage in combat is an intentional design choice and a good one it is. How many times in RPG games do you end up hoarding consumables in your inventory but never have a chance to use them?
Agreed. Items in battle was always too standard. Why would you want healers if you had healing items? Why save SP if you kept using Ether Potions? Plus, auto battle would’ve wasted all your items randomly anyway. Stupid AI
Sorry bro i grew up playing turn based too But 2 button gameplay is just a very bottom of the barrel gameplay for me Everything comes down to your acc stat and element and the haves or not have characters. Or artifacts or weapon Theres no summon mechanic. No job system. No multi casts no items.no magic. No enemy skills. Not even a real time turn system like in final fantasy game
If it were a normal game (like buy to play and not live service) I would completely agree. But honestly it’s a gacha game they normally use a simple gameplay and try to do a lot with a little (mainly over the games development). This simplistic gameplay is not out of the ordinary. While I also think it should add at least one more combat mechanic, I doubt it will do much that is not within the characters skill set/kit. Furthermore gacha games are designed to be played by those with less time on their hands. So I don’t think it’s exactly fair to compare or expect it to do games like let’s say SMT 3 or any final fantasy game. Regardless if it doesn’t do it for you then you shouldn’t waste your time on it.
I meen. FFBE or octopath traveler is a gacha that have better option in battle granted theyre pixel art with lower production value. Paying money and to spend a lot of resource to just play a character that just do 1 skill is really offputting
@@sandythamtono2081 true but not abnormal I thought you were comparing it to well B2P games. There are definitely gacha with better gameplay than Hoyo games imo. I just think they are staying in their comfort zones and being creative with it. Their main goal seems to be telling a story and sell cool characters

If the rumors are true, there will be a cloud service soon- should reduce data load.
