I think Kindred met her in person because she always played their victim and she felt compelled to know how she would really wish to die to them. Like, normally Kindred just pulls the strings as they seem fit but now they felt compelled to ask.

according to the Q&A kindred aren't only bound to the region of the story, but are omnipresent in runeterra. It is also stated that they look different based on the culture of the one seeing them, so someone from shurima will will see them in another way as someone from freljord, for example. I think that's a cool explanation for different skins for kindred :D

Some people are actually able to see the Kindred. If those people are chased by Wolf, he'll literally rip them to pieces. So it's not always metaphorically.

Stone Olson yay the matches in the game are mostly annoying like I quit league for a month then later on when I played it it was fun again for I just play league enough and not a lot so it wont be that annoying and or boring so its still fun for me in my own way .

I believe the lamb/wolf masks are also a representation of the persons morality. Who deserves a peaceful natural end and who deserves a slow agonizing death. Kindred says "How one dies, shows how one lived".

Based on the lore from the wiki, Kindred will slay all undead of the shadow isles. Maybe they'll be able to free Thresh's victims. I also wonder what they'd think of Lucian.

They may have even said he was Demacian, but I cannot recall with certainty. Also, Kings aren't the only ones who wear crowns. Stereotypically, the entire royal family would wear some type of crown, although typically not as elaborate as the king himself. Jarvan would be an example. To say the recently deceased noble in the picture is a younger sibling of J4 is not unreasonable.

This is such an amazing story, I can see why you prefer kindred! These are exactly the kind of stories I like, somewhat mystical and abstract but with clear grounding. Which in this case, was seeing the fate of arrow or chase for all of the audience. Genuinely one of the best short stories I’ve come across in awhile, deserves a cinematic for sure

I just realised that the name "Kindred" seems a game of words: "kindly" and "dreadful", resembling the 2 types of deaths that the lamb and the wolf provides.
I think that usually, Id find your accent brake my attention (thats a thing I personally have, not saying everyone have it) but you explain everything so well and your voice is so constant that it just flow together! the video was splendid! loved it! griping story reading, good visual editing and a constant voice to back up. the lack of voice giving to the characters might even enhance it!
I think this is really great. Your videos have always been very interesting, as well as your engaging accept and voice that make me wanna listen to you read and explain much more lore of LoL, and maybe even make a new champion and tell about his/her lore, that'd be very interesting. However, the only problem is that you might need a new mic, in my opinion. It sort of bothers me, and maybe other people, that the mic isn't too good of a quality. I'm sure if you got a new mic, you might get more viewers and/or subscribers. This is only a suggestion, and the mic quality only bothers me slightly. Best of luck!

6 years later I only knew now what Kindred represents. Wow. One of the most interesting champions there is. Riot literally created a champion who is (or an embodiment of) death. Plus, I think Magga was basically crossing the bridge to death as she felt the heart attack, making her able to see everyone's fate of either Lamb or Wolf.
Kindred sounds most like a god that has became natural law. I think that Kindred is really existing in the universe of LoL in some substance but it doesn't directly tinker with death (that is he's/she's/its area of expertise) I think you could think about kindred the same way as Grim reaper or the Celtic Dullahan in some myths, grim reaper doesn't need to physically kill(traditionally touch with his skeleton arm) the dying, but people and animals die because grim reaper exists, he is the manifestation of the natural law of death or for the people of old the reason why they die. People who lived in the world without science etc. had urge to form myths or reasoning's for natural phenomena. For example Celtic people thought that thunder was Thor riding his wagon through the skies or ancient Egyptians thought that sun was rolled around the skies by gigantic scarab.. Also just came to my mind since I just watched the vid about most powerful champions regarding lore, Anubis was the ancient Egyptians grim reaper which was major influence for Nasus and Anubis was also reincarnated human like Nasus, not a warrior but Pharao : P

I agree on the part that Kindred is an omen of death and represents a grim reaper in the world of LoL, though, I do not agree that she had a chance to choose her own death only because she had met them. I perceive Magga's story this way: Kindred is an omen of death and in your final hour it comes for you, yet you don't have any choice - will you be shot by a Lamb's bow or ripped apart by Wolf's claws. The only thing that matters is whether you accept your death or deny it. If you accept your death then you are granted a swift sharp shot but if you deny it, run away from it you will be marked as a prey of Wolf's chase. Also, it seems that death from Lamb's arm is inevitable and may happen at any time and indeed it will be a quick one, meanwhile death from Wolf can be delayed and in the end of a hunt you will suffer and moan in agony. The time when Magga met Kindred the girl instantly recognized before whom she stood and what did it mean. She was trembling, was afraid, she was not ready to die, so she tried to find a purpose according to which she would stay alive. Wolf undoubtedly smelled such denial, thus he moved forward with the phrase " Can we play 'Chasing the Magga-Thing and Bite Her to Bids?'?". Lamb asked what the girl would choose only because it seemed funny for her because actually they never had ask such question to anybody as nobody lived long enough after they had seen Kindred. As an omen of death Kindred comes to the finale of everybody's life and the fact that Magga met them at barrow-archway is a pure coincidence in my opinion. It may happened because archway was a special place with Kindred's symbol engraved on a tombstone or simply Kindred was amused how Magga survived and wanted to thank her for a wonderful performance. In the end Magga performs in a Royal Theater so splendidly that even a king and a queen were on their feets. She was old and had her pleasure with such top-notch performance, so she truly was happy and even death didn't intimidate her. She died from a heart attack which was represented as a Lamb's arrow. As she was on a brink of her end she glance through the audience as it was a Royal Theater there were all kind of people but in the end they all will face a wolf or a lamb.
To put it simply: Kindred is two halves of one entity, that entity being death. Death, can be slow, it can be quick, it can be painless, it can be painful. It can come swiftly, or ferociously. So is the tale of the grace of the lamb and the wolf. When she was confronted by Kindred, she was given a choice, to be played by Wolf, or a swift arrow from Lamb. She chose the arrow of Lamb, so at her dying breath, her heart stopped, pierced by a single arrow that no one else than Lamb, Wolf and Magga. As death already knew her name, her days was already counted, the time of her death written and accepted.

The story about pale man with dark hair, is about Death (as person who everyone needs to meet yet everbody try to stay away from him/her, which made Death lonely and felt all alone) and with death splitting himself or herself up with an axe (the scythe) made Lamb and Wolf as Kindred. I also see Lamb as Calm yet sophisticated, while Wolf is violent yet naive. It just shows how opposite they are yet very similar. That is also maybe they are just White and Black because they also symbolize balance like yin and yang.
I don't think its a matter of choosing HOW to die that decides who gets the honors of blowing out your life light, but more the difference between accepting death or not. Lamb's arrow is for those that accept death when it comes for them. These people have come to terms with their fate and will thus die peacefully and swift (like Maga who, to me, seemed to give the impression at the end that she felt her end coming). Those that do not accept death when it comes for them (either because its early or unnatural like the caravan in the story) are chased by wolf because they run from it. Its not so much a choice of whom will kill you and lamb does not always ask, but more if you accept your fate when it comes, or not.

Kindred is the representation of death, but the presence of death lies within all living things, so the kindred are the form taken by the essence of death itself. Think those "final destination" movies. Similar to how bard is an essence of cosmic energy that can take a physical form. When he "dies" his essence simply returns to the cosmos. This is how Kindred is both a physical entity and not, imo.

Stone Olson yay the matches in the game are mostly annoying like I quit league for a month then later on when I played it it was fun again for I just play league enough and not a lot so it wont be that annoying and or boring so its still fun for me in my own way .

+Ryan Cozy is they are called scripters. They are rather rare but they do exist. You will almost never see one. I ran into a scripter during ranked once. They were playing morgana and I was playing vayne. Every time I would go to stun, morg would shield whoever I targeted at the last second.

I believe the lamb/wolf masks are also a representation of the persons morality. Who deserves a peaceful natural end and who deserves a slow agonizing death. Kindred says "How one dies, shows how one lived".

Someone asked if it was "The Ruined King", Riot said, "It's a noble, but not a king." They may have even said he was Demacian, but I cannot recall with certainty.
Also, Kings aren't the only ones who wear crowns. Stereotypically, the entire royal family would wear some type of crown, although typically not as elaborate as the king himself. Jarvan would be an example. To say the recently deceased noble in the picture is a younger sibling of J4 is not unreasonable.

This is such an amazing story, I can see why you prefer kindred! These are exactly the kind of stories I like, somewhat mystical and abstract but with clear grounding. Which in this case, was seeing the fate of arrow or chase for all of the audience.

Let's not forget that one version of the Kindred myth states that they were born from a single entity that split himself in two. I think that usually, Id find your accent brake my attention (thats a thing I personally have, not saying everyone have it) but you explain everything so well and your voice is so constant that it just flow together! the video was splendid! loved it!
griping story reading, good visual editing and a constant voice to back up. the lack of voice giving to the characters might even enhance it!
I think this is really great.
Your videos have always been very interesting, as well as your engaging accept and voice that make me wanna listen to you read and explain much more lore of LoL, and maybe even make a new champion and tell about his/her lore, that'd be very interesting.
However, the only problem is that you might need a new mic, in my opinion. It sort of bothers me, and maybe other people, that the mic isn't too good of a quality.
I'm sure if you got a new mic, you might get more viewers and/or subscribers. This is only a suggestion, and the mic quality only bothers me slightly.

6 years later I only knew now what Kindred represents. Wow. One of the most interesting champions there is. Riot literally created a champion who is (or an embodiment of) death. Plus, I think Magga was basically crossing the bridge to death as she felt the heart attack, making her able to see everyone's fate of either Lamb or Wolf.

Kindred sounds most like a god that has became natural law. I think that Kindred is really existing in the universe of LoL in some substance but it doesn't directly tinker with death (that is he's/she's/its area of expertise) I think you could think about kindred the same way as Grim reaper or the Celtic Dullahan in some myths, grim reaper doesn't need to physically kill(traditionally touch with his skeleton arm) the dying, but people and animals die because grim reaper exists, he is the manifestation of the natural law of death or for the people of old the reason why they die.
People who lived in the world without science etc. had urge to form myths or reasoning's for natural phenomena. For example Celtic people thought that thunder was Thor riding his wagon through the skies or ancient Egyptians thought that sun was rolled around the skies by gigantic scarab.. Also just came to my mind since I just watched the vid about most powerful champions regarding lore, Anubis was the ancient Egyptians grim reaper which was major influence for Nasus and Anubis was also reincarnated human like Nasus, not a warrior but Pharao : P

I agree on the part that Kindred is an omen of death and represents a grim reaper in the world of LoL, though, I do not agree that she had a chance to choose her own death only because she had met them. I perceive Magga's story this way:
Kindred is an omen of death and in your final hour it comes for you, yet you don't have any choice - will you be shot by a Lamb's bow or ripped apart by Wolf's claws. The only thing that matters is whether you accept your death or deny it. If you accept your death then you are granted a swift sharp shot but if you deny it, run away from it you will be marked as a prey of Wolf's chase. Also, it seems that death from Lamb's arm is inevitable and may happen at any time and indeed it will be a quick one, meanwhile death from Wolf can be delayed and in the end of a hunt you will suffer and moan in agony.
The time when Magga met Kindred the girl instantly recognized before whom she stood and what did it mean. She was trembling, was afraid, she was not ready to die, so she tried to find a purpose according to which she would stay alive. Wolf undoubtedly smelled such denial, thus he moved forward with the phrase " Can we play 'Chasing the Magga-Thing and Bite Her to Bids?'?". Lamb asked what the girl would choose only because it seemed funny for her because actually they never had ask such question to anybody as nobody lived long enough after they had seen Kindred. As an omen of death Kindred comes to the finale of everybody's life and the fact that Magga met them at barrow-archway is a pure coincidence in my opinion. It may happened because archway was a special place with Kindred's symbol engraved on a tombstone or simply Kindred was amused how Magga survived and wanted to thank her for a wonderful performance.
In the end Magga performs in a Royal Theater so splendidly that even a king and a queen were on their feets. She was old and had her pleasure with such top-notch performance, so she truly was happy and even death didn't intimidate her. She died from a heart attack which was represented as a Lamb's arrow. As she was on a brink of her end she glance through the audience as it was a Royal Theater there were all kind of people but in the end they all will face a wolf or a lamb.

To put it simply:
Kindred is two halves of one entity, that entity being death.
Death, can be slow, it can be quick, it can be painless, it can be painful.
It can come swiftly, or ferociously. So is the tale of the grace of the lamb and the wolf.
When she was confronted by Kindred, she was given a choice, to be played by Wolf, or a swift arrow from Lamb.
She chose the arrow of Lamb, so at her dying breath, her heart stopped, pierced by a single arrow that no one else than Lamb, Wolf and Magga.
As death already knew her name, her days was already counted, the time of her death written and accepted.

The story about pale man with dark hair, is about Death (as person who everyone needs to meet yet everbody try to stay away from him/her, which made Death lonely and felt all alone) and with death splitting himself or herself up with an axe (the scythe) made Lamb and Wolf as Kindred.
I also see Lamb as Calm yet sophisticated, while Wolf is violent yet naive. It just shows how opposite they are yet very similar. That is also maybe they are just White and Black because they also symbolize balance like yin and yang.
Death is death itself, the story is just a story it's not kindred's story.
They only show up after you die.

I don't think its a matter of choosing HOW to die that decides who gets the honors of blowing out your life light, but more the difference between accepting death or not. Lamb's arrow is for those that accept death when it comes for them. These people have come to terms with their fate and will thus die peacefully and swift (like Maga who, to me, seemed to give the impression at the end that she felt her end coming). Those that do not accept death when it comes for them (either because its early or unnatural like the caravan in the story) are chased by wolf because they run from it. Its not so much a choice of whom will kill you and lamb does not always ask, but more if you accept your fate when it comes, or not.

kindred is a force of nature, much like bard. Kindred is the representation of death, but the presence of death lies within all living things, so the kindred are the form taken by the essence of death itself. Think those "final destination" movies. Similar to how bard is an essence of cosmic energy that can take a physical form. When he "dies" his essence simply returns to the cosmos. This is how Kindred is both a physical entity and not, imo.
