That was a cool tower up on Bear Mountain and the Trailside Zoo was also interesting. Too bad it was so overcast and rainy when you crossed the bridge, I am sure the views would have been great!
Good stuff, greetings from North Tyneside (UK). That rain did not look nice. I bet the love for the rain poncho/jacket grew on you the more it rained! The wonders of You Tube - I would literally have no idea what the AT looked or felt like without this content. You are doing a great job in conveying what it is like. Appreciate it from over the pond.
Bravo for walking into the mist of inconveniences👏🏻The views were great. I love the rain! Cheers to your progress. Be well. Be safe. Wishing you pleasant days ahead. Happy Hiking!
So glad you are feeling better. I thought the trail gets boring as you get farther north. It seems to get more beautiful. Thank you so much for your great videos.
Really enjoyvfollowing your hike and all the strength you show overcoming the many challenges of the trail.good luck all the way to maine.all the best from saugus mass.
You had a good day for a dreary rainy day girl. I hope you are proud of what you have already done. Keep the spirit any way you can and you are still killin it miss badass.
Bear mountain steps sucked last year!!! My knees hurt the next day. Quite a difference at the lake and zoo. Last year the zoo was closed and the lake was full of picnics. Pool was full also. The ONLY white blazes of the entire trail I was forced to skip was in the closed zoo! It should be a blue blaze.
Yep, Wipporwills will drive ya nuts. Wm Bryan Shelter, one of oldest on trail. Keep on chuggin, my friend. btw . . . All that 'flat' looking rock, usually atop mountains, is flat because it was scraped over and over by ice, two miles high during the many Ice Ages. 😜
Original William Bryant shelter was by island pond they knooit down this new one was named letter rock shelter and treasure rock nearby ledger pirates buried treasure there according to what I read but definitely will always be letter rock to me
I think that you were next to the bird's nest and she was telling you to move away.If a bird attacks you when hiking you got too close, she is protecting the babies.Shelters are nests for lots of critters.
You are hiking the same area at the same time as badbathikes. She posted a video this morning and mentioned the activity at the camp site in the early morning and also the zoo. You should look her up.
@@ElPiedro80 Ok. They both mentioned a loud crowd at the same campsite so I figured they were very close. I enjoy watching both of them as well as Beer in Wonderful Places who is several hundred miles behind them.
Injured and orphaned native animals - glad that's why the zoo is open :) ....thanks for sharing that bit of info. Wish you were hiking wiith others. Glad you are feeling better; seemed like a good day
I was so happy the zoo was open for you to go in.❤❤
Often, the whole Bear Mountain is a zoo with tons of people. Looked so nice on that rainy day!
Good video, on wet rainy day, with some good, little black snake, 😮 so let's keep on hiking 😊
Stairs! My nemesis. My knees ache just watching you. Doing great and I enjoy your videos 😊
I admire your perseverance. No matter what the weather is you keep on hiking.
Thanks for sharing your videos they are Wonderful

The longer you hike the better your videos become!
Seems like you're getting stronger physically and mentally Gabby. 😊 4:11
Enjoyed the video and zoo tour. You sound like you are back on track.
The Palisades detour is a particularly unfortunate one, because it adds dull miles & skips a beautiful, historic climb & amazing ridge!

Wow! What a day of varied terrain and surroundings! Looked like a very fun solo day

You seem to be feeling better, even in the rain. Keep the faith and keep it rolling👍👍👍
Good food stops always put a pep in your step. Keep going Gabby 👣🌻

Happy you're continuing to feel O.K. and, all in all, looks like a pretty good day. Close to Connecticut. Be well, stay safe.
It would be awesome if you could meet up with Couch to Trail and hike with her.
Put the poncho after you put your backpack and put it over your backpack to keep everything dry
👍

BB videos have a delay of about 3 to 4 weeks, Gabby´s videos have a little less delay, IIRC.

Fog is pretty but sorry it was caused by rain
Good morning! Congratulations on the miles.
More physical challenges.
Kool lake with fish and zoo.
