Team woodland creatures forever. I can't wait until the lake is back and a family of otters decides to settle and finally start an honest counselling business for all the other animals.
What really made “Woodland Watch” is we all know how gleeful Phillip was to introduce us to all his favorite creatures. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting the new chateau residents. .
I think a children's book of Lalande animals - farm and woodland - would be a huge hit with subscribers and fans. It could be illustrated, watercolor, or photographed. From gifted cards and artwork there is no shortage of talented friends of Lalande. I'm sure the book(s) would be heartwarming and well received!
Philip, would you please put the Woodland creatures on the outdoor cam on your channel for UA-cam. That would be so fun and something to look forward to as I love the little creatures we have 8 ft walls that keep our creatures out at this house. I have a house by the lake up in Michigan and we get to see elk and little creatures and we have a rather nice Pond there with fish that we get to watch with frogs and such. And our house in Utah has fences between the houses however both sides of my house so we get families of deer that comes through beat our crabapples there and that's terrific. Currently we are living in New Mexico up at 5000 feet. In rather a desert it's called a high desert here. Follow the lead of Tom and his work we buy houses and keep them and rent them out as we go. I did just sell two of our houses in California. As the market was incredible at that time last year. I'm sure would be even more now but last year was a great time to sell for us. It's our retirement program so we have a lot of fun with it, rather buying and selling houses. Mostly buying. A California houses were wonderful for that to the possums used to come around our pool there at our second home. They are pretty funny little creatures and we had rats that ran along our sensors and we had a very very big neighborhood that was a double cul-de-sac if you know that what that is it was rather fun just to watch them running along the fence. My husband and I think that you and Stephanie are the cutest of couples. And we are planning to come out there for a 40th anniversary in 2 years. I am so looking forward to it. I'm sure you won't get all the work done so that we could volunteer to help as well as be a visitor so that weekend so that we can enjoy a beautiful room at the Chateau. Well God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite
Hi Stephanie and Philip! I have been watching you for almost a year now, and you have provided so much enjoyment to me, but I've not commented before. But after watching "Tear down the wall" I have to tell you -- I have been having a bad day - the painting I'm working on is not coming out as I had planned, so I gave up and sat down to see what was on UA-cam and was so happy to see your new posting. I loved every minute of it but your addition of your woodland creatures Philip, made me laugh - so adorable, and your reaction to it Stephanie is Priceless!!!! I am an artist and live in Tucson Arizona, and we are still on lock down for the most part. Oh, and thank you Philip for making sure Stephanie is resting and Mostly following doctors orders!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DAYS SO ENJOYABLE!
Philip the bumble bee on your turtleneck is Super. I remember you admired bejeweled bugs when visiting the antique shops in Venice...I smiled immediately realizing your fondness of all creatures, great and small. It would be lovely to continue with Adventures in The Woodland at "Chateau de Lalande, in the heart of rural France♥"
Philip’s Woodland animals, Marie’s floral studio, trees and walls coming down and Stephanie walking around drinking tea. Watching this makes me so happy !
Oh sweet Philip....I LOVE the way that you truly love all the little woodland creatures. You are the keeper of the woodland animals. It does my heart good to see just how much they make you so happy. And you are naming them! I just love it! You are a true care giver. You are looking after Stephanie so well and I pray she gets better soon. Take care guys!
nothing cuter than hearing philip snorting over cute woodland varmits! along with great progress around the chateau… good times all around for sure! cheers! 🦩
So fun to see Philip taking Stephanie on her enforced walk and then completely cracking her up with your “Woodland Watch”! You, sir, are the very definition of a friend🤗
My favourit part is right after, "but far from being a stuffy museum, this chateau is a living home." I live here all the time" and there's Stephane in the kitchen raising a glass, no makeup apparently, freshfaced and smiling.
Glad to see Stephanie looking better and chomping at the bit to do more. Philip’s woodland creatures are adorable and should make many guest appearances.

Love the forest video - thank you all at la Lande for giving us such joy! & Stephanie - please take great good care of yourself! The whole world needs our Chateau Diaries to transport us into that gorgeous world and away from the politics, etc. of the "other" world
I just want to say as I began watching Philip's woodland critters I began laughing with the adorableness of it all, then I began to cry with the lovilness of Philip and Stephanie and all of La Landers. You have brought so much joy to my life. I started watching at the beginning of Covid and have become an avid fan. Stephanie please rest and take care of yourself. As much as you love your work, let your friends and co-workers take on more of the burden during your recuperation. My love to all and peace and joy for the coming year.
So great to see that wall coming down. Such a satisfying job. The room is so much lighter😊 Marie, what a beautiful bouquet for Natti🥰 the Helleborus is a real vintage flower, so pretty.

Such a happy vlog. Stephanie is recovering. The wall is down. Marie has found her magic room. The forest is delightful, and getting safer. And just a wee mayonaise rivalry. Stay well and safe Lalanders.
That is going to be an amazing room when finished. Stephanie please wear a mask when involved in demolition, my lungs are full of lime dust from such renovation.

A Philip's "Cute woodland animals of Lalande" would be nice, even once a month with everyone joining in with the voice overs. Could be fun, with Philip doing the commentary and the other LaLandes helping out and trying to not let Philip get to excited. Loved the vlog tonight thank you for your hard work.
I think what set off the woodland segment was the music you chose. Perfect ! (Though I do say every moment was well done from the theater curtains on).
I must say, having these many human Ians is like having great fathers twice over. I love their presence in Stephanie's life. Oh, I miss my 2 dads (My biological dad and my bestfriend's dad who treated me like his own son :(
Marie's studio makes me so happy .Those Hellabores!!! I planted some last Fall and I am hoping they will start blooming here soon!!! I can't wait to see all the plans take shape around the Chateau. Also the woodland animals had me going awwwwwwwww.

Stephanie, you were so funny when you picked the book up, I just laughed😊😊😊. Keep eating, healthy, iron, vitamins, water, water, water oh my!!!

Stephanie glad your feeling better, but I still wish you were resting more. Thank you for all you do for us. Everyone here loves you. We are apart of LaLande and your family.
Was the only one jumping for joy while watching walls being torn down and wooden floors being pulled out? I am here thinking what kind of wallpaper she will go for and that she should buy a matching one for her bedroom. I mean, I am already on the Watts of Westminster website looking at yellow wallpaper. LOL
Wow aren't the Ian's doing well😷👷♂️🔨. The tree surgeon is a brave guy. Marie is as beautiful as ever with all those flowers. Stephanie hope you are feeling better & resting properly. & lovely little woodland animals 🦡🐾🦔💗

Wow. Nice tree work. Have to get a helmet cam up there! If the french surgeons don't climb so much, they won't have SRT dialled in. DRT will always be slower than SRT. Good competitive advantage to bag this. Maybe not worth the hassle depening on the market though. Lots of new tech that clients can be interested in with SRT maybe? Like fast crown releases accross hectares etc... Not sure on standards in France but BS8516 is good for assessment stuff. If there are people wondering around that forest, it's good to have everything assessed for insurance purposes. Not sure if France has insurance requirements, but even if it doesn't it's prudent to have. Due dilligence and all that. Signage can get around this to some extent, but it is overall a less responsible 'needs must' approach for land owners using this option in Scotland. Its like buying Ikea instead of solid oak. They wouldn't have a leg to stand on if something happened. For longterm guidance on management, get a forest manager with a finite contract requiring certain outcomes like planting, remediation, biodiversity, commercial rotation plan etc... Or point the team to work to BS3998. These standards are written in blood. They are the a legacy our ancestors paid the ultimate price for. We are fortunate, very fortunate indeed. Even if we stick loosely to some key standards, nobody will regret it.
