As for how Mio returns. One could make the argument that while Noah represents Moebius, Mio represents Ouroboros.
Hence Na'el and Alpha are extremist Ouroboros, while Z and N are extremist Moebius. Both two ends of the same horseshoe.
So while N's memory is in the sword, Mio's might be in the fists since Gondhor, Matthew and Na'el are the embodiment of her hope for the future, while Noah traded thm for the Endless Now. At least that's my guess. So I would say Mio's memory is stored in the Fists.
Noah and Mio could be "avatars" of Keves/Agnus desire for a fused world, the harmonious interlink between Moebius and Ouroboros.
Alpha is an avatar of pure Ouroboros and Mio's descendant is a vessel for it
Z is an avatar of pure Moebius and Noah destroys his descendant to become a vessel for it
    But that's just my guess.

If that’s the case, then that would explain why at the end of FR, both Alrest and Bionis fused into a single world, as Origin reacts to Noah and Mio’s and the rest of the XC3 crews’, the Queens’ and the City people’s hope to reunite

I'm pretty sure the final Ouroboros strike from Matthew restores the humanity within Alpha, sort of restoring Alvis. Ouroboros was created from merging the Fists of the End (Pneuma), with the Sword of the End (Logos), so in that moment of impact, the Trinity Processor should have been restored. It also explains why Alpha takes defeat so gracefully, asking in genuine concern if Matthew is certain about his decision, and seems satisfied at his answer. Also the last thing Alpha sees before fading is Matthew walking towards the people of Bionis, Alrest, and Aionios united, fulfilling Alvis's prophecy all those years ago.
Also, I think there is a chance we might see Ontos again in the future since he might have simply disappeared into the future with the people of the City like he said he would. At this point the Trinity processor cores might as well be indestructible, so Alvis might manifest again the future.

@@haisex3 Z is another part of Ontos harnessed from Ontos' data of Logos (complicated theory I know) but since Z isn't destroyed until a whole milenia down the line, the Ontos core's still present in Origin, keeping it going. But after Z was annihilated by the party Orgin restarted and (supposedly) made a new itteration of the Ontos Trinity core and united it with the sword of the end Logos, and Ouroboros Pneuma, thus remerging the worlds. So in a way, the new world runs on the trinity processor. Of course this is just a theory and I could very well be wrong, but it's what I believe at least.

@@F89_ Our party is also returned to their respective worlds. The ending scene has young Noah picking up from where the worlds would have clashed along with Eunie, Lanz, and most surprisingly Joran but also hears (seemingly in his head) an offseeing tune implying he has some memory of Aionios's events.
What happens with the City people isn't really addressed or shown since all of them didn't exist prior so we can only guess. I would assume Shulk and Rex get returned to their respective worlds as well regardless of their Avatar status. I would personally guess that Ontos in some form also ends up back in Xenoblade 1 land; whether that's as A or as the original Alvis is also something we can only speculate. I think it's fully possible Ontos reemerges as A just because Ontos was an actual component of Origin so changes to Ontos specifically might be one of the few things that carries over into the reborn worlds (that or Ontos/A/Alvis can choose manifest however they want and A was the last manifestation and just feels like staying that way.)

2:52 “The blade, and the memories contained within it,is the vessel that shackles N’s regrets, binding him to the endless now”
That is legit such a great way to say how N’s relation to his own regrets is. It’s also incredible how it aligns with N’s sword being implied to be the Aionios representative of Logos/Malos, which would make the whole thing fit like a glove since Malos also had regrets but couldn’t let go of them unlike Pyra and Mythra.

This is a solid potential explanation. But the way ive always rationalized this question is more straightforward. Mythra wished to cease existence so bad after the war that her core literally made it so. We come to understand that within origin, evedything exists as data encoded into core crystals. Which explains all of the games weirdness at once. People dissolve into ether on death...because theyre functionally blades. People have access to blade weapons at will? Because they're functionally blades. On the topic of memories from past lives? Blades encode data from prior lifetimes. So why wouldn't Noahs regret be so vast that his origin core splits him off as we've seen before with Mythra?

In a message he shared before for Future redeemed he said "I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade."

Nah I'd say you're right with the 7 being in Lucky 7 (Reyn, Fiora, Dunban, Sharla, Riki, Kino and Nene), but I'm disagreeing on the second part. What I think Riku refers to with Monado Rex is that every party member in 1 more or less knew how a Monado worked (a sword that bends reality to the wielder's will, but has to be powered up by another entity) and they all had a strong will to face and change the future. The same working process is thus accorded to Lucky 7, being a really sharp blade powered by will power and a processor, processor being Logos in N's sheath and Pneuma in Noah's sheath (which were the fists of Matthew repurposed by Riku)

If I'm correct, then Z, being basically the entity that is controlling Origin could simply access their data stored inside of it, recreate them and then turn them into moebius, but since it would be such a huge contradiction in beliefs or nature or wathever, their souls literally split in 2

It's not like hinting at a sequel with small clues here and there, this is an important element that should have really been explained in detail, especially because the story of these two universes is not going to be continued directly.
After finishing FR I theorized that Noah and Mio's reintroduction in the system had something to do with Pneuma's core who hacked Origin and reintroduced them by using Matthew or Ghondor's genetic data. Queen Nia seemed to know that Noah and Mio would be reborn as soldiers in the future, Rex was absolutely oblivious to the fact the Pneuma was residing in the gauntlet, so maybe this thing was concocted by Nia, Pyra and Mythra somehow? This doesn't seem too farfetched as Ontos was also able to interface with Origin since Z says that as long as Alpha is around he cannot gain full control of it.

While this video is awfully interesting, and made me think about things in a new way, there are several potential issues in this video. The most notable to take into consideration (I think) is what origin metal is capable of. You outline that, "weapons forged from origin metal are imbued with the will and memories of those connected to the weapon's wielder." This is partly true and party false as far as I can tell.
Firstly, there is definitely evidence to show that origin metal can hold the wills of people, such as the line Riku says in FR, or even what Mio says when the party enters Origin. Mio says something to the effect of, "It feels as though Moebius is all around us." However I'm skeptical that it can contain memories for one simple reason. Origin itself, has a large number of large core crystals in it. So why would Origin, which is largely if not entirely composed of origin metal, also need core crystals if origin metal can hold the will and memories of people? It seems to me that origin metal is capable of holding the will of a person, but not their memories. Whereas core crystals are actually capable of holding memories. The symbology behind this seems to be that origin metal can contain a piece (or even the entirety) of a person's soul or will, whereas a core crystal can contain memories/data. Some may say this is false since blades lose their memories, but it's important to remember that they don't actually lose them, they are sent to the world tree where they are processed and evolutionary data is sent back to the core crystal.
More evidence of what I said pertaining to origin metal and the core crystals, is that when Matthew and N's respective weapons clash on prison island a light is sent up to origin, and then origin beams a light down. I suspect this is a "resonance" process of sorts. The origin metal clashes (the two weapons) which is the will that initiates the accessing of memories, similar to how the will of a driver gives a blade their form. This also probably explains, technically, how Origin is capable of essentially restarting humanity. When Origin's two halves came together, it caused a clash of origin metal on origin metal, and both halves of Origin were likely imbued with the will of each world's respective people, which upon clashing would initiate the core crystals inside which contained the memories of people and other data pertaining to biological life (such as monsters) and land masses (explaining how so many land masses in Aionios are reminiscent of those in Xenoblade 1 and 2).
While I loved this video because it pointed out some things in ways I hadn't quite pieced together and made me think, I don't think you're 100% on the mark. But I think you're super close, and I hope this comment complements your video and theories well. There are other things I'd like to address, but this comment is long as is.

It had the powers of Ontos, Logos and Pneuma. By extension I guess that means he was also a contact with the conduit. Making Noah the most important character in the trilogy without being related to Shulk or Rex. Which would explain Noah/N and by extension Matthew's resemblance to Fei Fong Wong.

I remember people especulating that Noah and co. would interlink into a gigantic Ouroboros at the end, and even P&O, as well as D, kind of alluded to it, calling Ouroboros half ass interlinks.
Why then, this mega interlink only happens in a precuel? It's kind of a big deal so it weirds me out that such an event doesn't repeat itself at the very end of the story. Maybe we'll see more about it in future games?

I'd love to get your thoughts on this as you appear to be an highly introspective individual. After DLC 4's ending cutscene, (seeing Aionios seperate FROM a different dimension ) shows beyond the shadow of a doubt Aionios was completely a virtual creation of Origin's memory data separate from Alrest and Bionis. Both Bionis and Alrest was frozen in time PRIOR to the intersection (remember 2 planets garden scene in chp 10) and Aionios was generated by Origin (Z) metaphysically creating a space time anomaly stripping the time axiom from real life and Mobeius used reincarnation, life cycle to facilitate this illusory world in this new dimension. When Origin booted up at the end of XC3, the virtual world Aionios slowly separated (Mio and Noah running scene) and coincided with the locations of Bionis and Alrest frozen in time. Time continued. Planets collided at the end of DLC 4. And we saw 1 universe booted up at the end. This is my profound theory regarding XC3 and DLC 4. Z has generated Aionious in this manner using photon communication in between Origin Arks the moment they were visible in the observable universe. He intercepted that photon communication right BEFORE physical collision and created Aionious using Origin's Morphed XC1 and XC2 data. Chp 7 cutscenes show it clearly imo. What do you think about this incredibly nuanced understanding of XC3 and DLC 4 I've heard nobody express this well. My interpretation explains all plot holes other theories need to wave away as 'symbolic expression'. We see Bionis and Alrest frozen in time as 2 separate planets in chp 10 garden scene and from Aionios - a different space time - we are looking at it. The final cutscenes of DLC 4 does a similar thing showing Aionios separate BACK into how things really are in a virtual manner and from a different dimension with waves and frequencies. We also see how planets form more 'solid matter' at its peak before colliding immediately and Origin booting up. What do you think?

  • @UltravioletNomad
    @UltravioletNomad Рік тому +2

I don't get how N's blade composed from Logos, outside of the purple glow. I was so damn confused why pnuema's core was in Matthew's Blade (in the same way I was so damn confused about multiple blades of the end), but the moment you mention Ghondor I realized, Noah just gave it to him. What is implied is that Noah passes his will for the future onto Ghondor, a will he can't bear to carry both literally and figuratively, and we could also apply that to their blades. IF Ns blade had a connection to any core prior, it would have been Pneuma's. But then theres the catch, the very fact Matthew and Ghondor can have their own blade resonate with a core crystal like that implies that 'being made of origin material' doesn't mean it bears data from the cores at all. Effectively either sword or even the fist or the goddman boat are just conduits for data from Origin or other sources, like the memories of the wielder or the data from a core crystal. Why, because neither Noah or Ns sword has the ability to turn people into ouroboros. To me the major implication here is that the very reason why Pyra and Mythra isn't around is because the Pneuma core is NEEDED to power Ouroboros, its HOW the stones were made, how the original city continued to create lesser ouroboros, and how Matthew does it with his goddamn fist. However, N doesn't have the power to make Moebius either. I understand that Moebius are technically assigned to Logos, because obviously Ontos represents humanity yet to exist and Pnuema represents the Ouroboros... however I don't know if Logos exist in the same way the others do anymore. The people are moebius, and therefore the people are logos. I suppose you could also imply that the power of Moebius is the absense of logos, like antimatter. It was destroyed and while they could technically make a new shell for Logos, ultimately the whole of Origin is one big logic processor made from all living things memories, a similar purpose to Logos but not represented by a distinct avatar until we made one, Z.
All in all this DLC didn't answer... a lot of my most burning questions (though I will admit part of 'answering questions' is me fishing for things I didn't personally like to magically resolve themselves and make me come around on them), however I think one of my most burning questions was where are Pyra, Mythra, and Alvis. Now at the time I had just assumed that everyone else was dead, but I understand now that adults from the old world seem to be avatar (and that just comes back around into still asking where they were) but it makes sense that their processors are essentially running the logic of this world through Origin. Shulk, Rex and A take Alpha's place because if they replace just Ontos with Pneuma then even they'd loose the power to fight Moebius, they are forced to let the true bearer of the sword of the end use Ouroboros to finish the job. Problem solved, thats why these immortal insightful and powerful characters can't help fight Moebius, cause they're pulling Zelda duty. But I don't know, for some reason Noah and Mio always meet before they became Moebius, and Melia/Riku seem pretty damn sure that the swords true bearer will come eventually... in fact even understanding that the swords are just conduits, no different than anything else made from Origin material, I still think its crazy that there are two of them, like they knew they'd need them. I can't even say that A/Alvis foretold every single event because that would imply that Alpha should also know that he was destined to loose and A themself say fate is just a prediction. You could just as easily say that A did it before they sealed away Origin. In general I don't understand why M wasn't involved with this in DLC... like they got N to help despite his unwavering conviction, but not the one that DOESN'T want to be Moebius and has already worked with Nia... why wasn't she there? I just don't find unlocking memories from a blade a sufficient explanation for two character to be re-instituted into the test tube baby war machine, but if both N and M were there I'd buy it better.

Has anyone come up with an actual explanation as to how Malos/ Logos core came back that isn't just "Origin shenanigans"? Like it genuinely is kinda frustrating, considering Malos and his core crystal literally got Thanos snapped into thin air at the end of Xenoblade 2 WAY before Origin ever existed, and not once in Xenoblade 3 do Melia and Nia say that Origin records the data of the worlds from the past as well. The only reason we even see Klaus' world is because Ontos powers Origin, so we see a simulation of Klaus' world from Ontos' memories. There is never an ounce of implication as to how Logos' core suddenly came back.
Is the Logos core in Future Redeemed a physical manifestation of the Xenoblade 2 cast's memories of Malos? Was Malos just a split-off version of the Logos core similar to A / Alvis / Ontos (which wouldn't even make sense because we literally *see* Amalthus take both Pneuma and Logos from the Trinity Processor.)
What are the rules for an Aegis' death then? If they can just come back into existence whenever they feel like, it would COMPLETELY ruin the impact of Pneuma's sacrifice and revival at the end of 2, which I'd like to believe Takahashi is smart enough to not do.
It's so incredibly unexplained, that I've seen people try to come up with the theory that it's NOT the Logos core, but it's actually just a replica of it ala Monado Replica style. This is like the whole "Riku is Alvis" thing all over again. The whole thing is just very messy, and I really wish there was an explanation. I literally would've taken ANY explanation and been fine with it.

An explaination could be that they used the data stored inside pneumas and ontos core to make a new logos core. In xc2 malos had his core half "thanos snapped" and needed pneuma's core to repair It, since It has the necessary data. Since origin Is based on ontos core they surely analysied the data inside about klaus' era tecnology and such, making origin possible. So making a "new" logos isnt that far fetched

You can see it happen just before the camera pans up when Malos dies, there's nothing left on the floor. And yeah, it's definitely not that farfetched, which is why I said I could literally be satisfied with just about any answer they give. The problem that I have is that they simply just choose not to, and now there's a thousand different theories that are all hypothetically correct due to lack of clarification. It's always just a "well they surely *could've* done this" or "maybe they did this other thing" kind of answer, and I'm personally just not a fan of it for a series that's well-known for explaining all the intricacies of how the worlds work. It just feels weird for them to skip past the details of something so astronomically important to the final fight with Alpha
Like even if Takahashi stated in an interview what happened, I'd be satisfied lmao. That being said, I think every big unanswered questions from base game XB3 that got more depth in Future Redeemed were still left ambiguous enough for it all to still make sense and properly fit into place. It's literally just that one... small thing about Malos that i feel really shouldve been clarified better.

@@EccentricSandal oh yeah i know , i was Just saying a possibility , but i agree with you , if that where the case It should have been stated even with only a nod to It, since they could have shown logos core like they did with pneuma's, but deliberaly choose not to. I think thats enough to say that the logos core Is not there. What can we actually read from the scene Is that the gauntlets/ouroboros Power are powered by pneuma , and when Matthew hits N's sword, it amplyfies the ouroboros power to everyone (like in mio side story when her emotions and will get amplyfied by luckyseven, standing in the same pose of n's sword , reaching myabi and the others). So the connection to logos Is only on a simbolic level. The gauntlets (ouroboros) and the sword of the end (Moebius) are the two things that stop alpha, just like how in the Trinity processor, ontos needed logos and pneuma. And the sword of the end parallels logos/malos in a lot of ways, so makes sense to the camera to include a shot of both sword and gauntlets.

What I find unfortunate is that they did not adequately explain in the story what I suspect was a voice actor conflict of scheduling: there is no explanation for why "they" are no longer here. So while N's memory is in the sword, Mio's might be in the fists since Gondhor, Matthew and Na'el are the embodiment of her hope for the future, while Noah traded them for the Now. At least that's my guess. So I would say Mio is stored in the Fists.

And it doesn’t seem like anything triggered it in particular given Aionios stayed the same since Alpha left and Z took back over.

I don't fully understand why everyone is saying N's sword has Logos in it. Sure the hilt is visually purple and having Pneuma and Logos coming together to help stop Alpha makes sense for a grand conclusion.. but it just seems out of left field since the Logos core was destroyed at the end of 2. If any part of Logos still existed I don't understand why it would be crafted into a sword.
Also Pneuma's core is clearly shown, there isn't any doubt there. if Logos was the other piece wouldn't they have done something similar? The emphasis of the scene (plus A and Rex's reaction) seems to just be focused on the Pneuma core. Plus when N stabs the ground the glow is green not purple. Anyone feel free to help me understand. Thx!

He says it himself if you check the Lucky Seven in his workshop, I think you can do it after the scene where he shows it at the Black Mountains.
