Excellent Presentation. Perfect in every way.

Best tutorial I have ever watched on how to embroider several lines but being new to this concept can you explained how to then do it on the next garment? Not sure how to do this.I would like to embroider masks given the gravity of the situation we are in. May be it will make someone smile. Thank you!!
The easiest way to do it is to save each of your lines as line1, line2, line3, etc. When you start another mask, you'll select line1 that has already been saved as a file design on your machine. Then you'll select line2, etc. and you'll get another mask. Sorry but I don't record videos anymore.
@@Scoresheet1 Well thank you for all your expertise and sharing it with rest of us. Stay Safe
after setting this up, how do you get the machine to print it all at once in the correct order?
I am unable to find the thread you shared a link for.
Thanks for sharing your videos! I am getting my se400 Thursday & I’ve been watching your videos all weekend for preparation. I do have a question - what is the advantage of using the 5x7 hoop if the machine only registers 4x4?
I'm not sure if there is any advantage. It's the only hoop that came with my machine. I think that's why I was able to buy it for 1/2 the price of the regular machine. You might be able to buy the software for splitting designs in half and that might be an advantage to have the 5" x 7" hoop. You can buy a set of 3 hoops on Amazon for less than $30. The advantage of the biggest hoop is you can put a t-shirt in it and embroider a 4x4 design in the top and the bottom of the hoop without taking the t-shirt out of the hoop.
Recommend
Does the embroidery start from the bottom
can we make colourfull embroidery from this machine
Yes. You can use different colors and types of embroidery thread on this machine.
Is there enough room on the machine for the garment to embroider on the left chest of a tee shirt, polo shirt, or hoodie? Same question for the sleeve or arm location? Can you embroider on hats with this machine?
The simple answer is yes to all questions. For long sleeves, you will need to remove the stitching to lay the sleeve flat for embroidery then stitch the sleeve back together. Short sleeves can usually be maneuvered around the hoop so the back part will stay out of the way of the embroidery stitching. Polo shirts are easy if you don't want any embroidery on the pockets. Caps can be stitched on this machine if you have the correct hoop. They are available online. Here's a link to the amazon ones. www.amazon.com/Embroidery-Brother-LB6800PRW-LB6800THRD-Simplicity/dp/B0049O3M9E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541437900&sr=8-1&keywords=se-400+embroidery+hoops+for+caps
How do you embroidery something like a car and from one stich to another the machine leaves the thread sometimes the stitches are to long it looks like a big mess on the embroidery when the embroider is done? Do we need to cut all threads always? Or is a way to cut them by theirself?
Thanks
I cut all the loose threads after the stitching is complete. This machine doesn't cut them automatically.
Have you done this on felt and if so anything special I would need to prepare? First timer here, thank you!
I haven't try embroidering on felt yet but I've seen projects that turned out very nicely. I would just do an internet search for suggestions on what stabilizer works best with what type of felt you're going to be using.
Hello how are ya?!
I have a question, do u got a video on how u transfer your own embroidery designs to the machine? Like is it don't with a flash drive? I wanna buy it but I'm not sure yet lol
You save your design on your computer and then you transfer the design to the embroidery machine via the USB cord that comes with the machine.
If you worked on a design is there a place or way to save it to use later...like the next year and I my change the date of the reunion?
Only if you keep it on your machine for the whole year. I don't think this machine is able to save to an outside disk or storage unit. You need a more expensive model.
Great Tute! When you first began video, you said the machine assumed the hoop to be 4x5?? But that hoop you are using is 5x7. How can you make the machine recognize that size??
tnx....
Thanks. The machine is programmed only for the small 3" and the 4" hoops. You can use the larger hoops but you can't change the machines programming. One way around it is to get a program that allows for file splitting so the machine can work the bigger designs. The hoop size in the video is a 5" x 7" but I can only upload 4" x 4" designs.
Que pena.Vou tentar aprender pelo. UA-cam. Obgada por me responder
Can you make videos on how to change the thread to different colors
Since you moved the "family" up after your practice print, wouldn't it make the "reunion" further from "family" when saving?
Yes it would. If this was going to be a sewn on multiple items, I would have done another practice run to make sure that all the saved lines would be in alignment. This project would need additional adjustments.
I just watch your video; I have a Brother se625 machine just got it last week; your video help me in some ways; Things I don't understand its in your video and other peoples; Why do you have to put that backing stablelizer stuff under the things you embroider? And do you change the bobbin color thread when you embroider? Please help me ; Thanks Melissa
Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I've been out of the country. You have to use a stabilizer under your fabric so the design will stitch out properly. I've tried stitching without it and I ended up with a mess. You should be using the bobbin thread that came with your machine. It looks like this on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Brother-SAEBT-Embroidery-Thread-White/dp/B001VTBSGO/ref=sr_1_4?hvadid=78202819569043&hvbmt=bb&hvdev=c&hvqmt=b&keywords=brother+60+embroidery+bobbin+thread&qid=1572989349&sr=8-4
What kind of stabilizer do you use for embroidering letters on cotton
fabric
It depends on what you're making. If it's on clothing I would use wash away or tear away stabilizer. It also depends on the density of the lettering. Cotton has a tendency to pucker it the stitches are too dense. Here's a pdf file that recommend type of stabilizer for different types of fabrics. Here's a link: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELprojects/pdf/PR1153.pdf
AWESOME VIDEO!!! Can’t thank you enough. Just one more question. Do you have a follow up part 2 video on how to retrieve pattern and print to something. Specifically, do you have to go to individual words and print them out one by one? And will they all be centered properly?
Thank you again
There's isn't a part 2 on this video. The saved pattern is named as the first few letters in the design. You'll have to retrieve them line by line and one at a time on this machine. Better machines give you more options. They will maintain the proper spacing and starting location like any other created pattern. Page 150 in your manual tells you how to save and retrieve patterns. You can only save up to 12 patterns or 512KB. Here's a link to a downloadable manual if you need it. support.brother.com/g/b/manualtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_se400eus
Can you make the machine do multiple lines in one design & embroider it in one pass? or do you have to design the words separately each time??
Each line is saved as a separate design in the machine. Once that line is saved you can keep it as long as you want as a stored file and keep retrieving it to use again. This machine cannot do multiple lines or multiple designs in one pass. You can embroider multiple designs on the same hooped piece of fabric. If you want a logo in the middle with one line of words on the top and bottom, you would have to load each design one at a time to get that result. If you have or get the software that let's you make up your own designs, you can do it. You can even have a company do it for you online and you can download the .pes file to your computer. There's a few websites that offer free digitizing software programs. You might want to look into it if you're thinking about getting this machine.
So basically what you're doing is saving each line with the spacing between lines, as separate files?
Theoretically, on your PC you can save phrases in folders. Then when you want to repeat something later on, up load the appropriate individual files and viola!
That would be nice but unfortunately you can't transfer files from the SE-400 back to the computer. The only options after you use the design is to save it on the sewing machine or delete the file.
how many threads can you put on at the same time or do you have to stop while its sewing to change the color to the pattern
You have to put thread color on the machine one at a time. The machine automatically stops between each of the colors and tell you what color to put on for the next set of stitches.
My machine is not pulling the top thread. How fast is it supposed to move??
That usually happens because the thread is not coming of the spool smoothly. Try using a smaller spool cap or try rotating the spool of thread in the opposite direction. Make sure the thread isn't catching on the cut on top of the spool. If it's not the spool then rethread your machine and try it again.
Como se arquea los nombres
How do I embroider a name with 6-7 letters in all large caps
You have to do it in 2 parts by using the plastic insert in the frame to figure out your spacing correctly. Another option is to use the digitalizing software to create a design of the whole name and upload it as one design.
what needle do you use for sewing the J or N
Here's a link to what needle to use for the type of fabric that you are going to be sewing. www.sewing.org/files/guidelines/22_115_sewing_machine_needle_charts.pdf In this video I used a Schmetz embroidery needle 130/705 H-E 90/14.
Here's another needle chart. It's a little nicer because it has the color codes of the Schmetz needles. www.schmetzneedles.com/learning/pdf/schmetz-needle-chart.pdf
does it work at 180V AC?
I don't know. All the manual states is: If the available electrical outlet is not suitable for the plug supplied with this equipment, you should contact your authorized dealer to obtain the correct lead.
Isn’t there a mathematical way to figure spacing? Or just “eyeballing?”
Probably but I'm not smart enough to figure it out. The machine start every new line at the center point in the design and calculates from there.
Does it make multiple languages for example Arabic?
The machine can be set to give instructions in multiple languages. There's Deutsch, Francais, Italiano, Nederlands, Espanol, Chinese, Dansk, Norsk, Suomi, Svenska, Portugues, Pyccknn, Simplified Chinese, and Hebrew. Some of the languages will give additional characters like letters with accents but not all.
Comprei uma SE425 brother.Preciso de um manual em português. Alguém pode me ajudar como proceder por favor.
Sinto muito, mas eu não conseguia encontrar um manual escrito em Português na Internet.
What if stitches is bubbling up?
That usually happens when your fabric isn't pulled tight enough in the hoop. The needle has to come up above the fabric to start the next stitch. If it doesn't, the thread will loop into the next stitch which looks like a bubble.
Maybe this is a stupid question, but can't you just memorize how many spaces down you did to get the next line where you wanted it and do all the other lines the exact same number of spaces down?
Technically yes but you would have to start each new line from the center top of the hoop and count down from there for each line. The machine automatically centers each new line to the center of the hoop.
Is this available in Pakistan?
I don't know if you can buy it in a store anywhere in Pakistan but it is available for purchase on AmazonPK. www.amazonshopping.pk/index.php?_a=amazonProducts/AmazonProuctView&cat=All&productId=B003AVMZA4
Hi. Dear. Do you have a email. I need send photos of my es-400 showme one message of error but I dont know what is the mean of this.
You can email me at dollshoepatterns@yahoo.com. I don't know all the error messages but I'll check my manual.
Can you demo how to connect computer to machine and how to upload and use computer designs? Do you need to purchase software?
If you click on my name above, that will take you to my channel. If you click on the videos tab you will find all my videos in chronological order. I have a couple of videos explaining the transfer process. Additional software isn't necessary to purchase.
I see Wilson on the fabric. Are we related?
Technically, yes. The other two species of humans died out years ago. The Neanderthals about a million years ago and the Denisovans about 30,000 years ago. As homo sapiens, we're all the same species with common ancestry so welcome to the family.
Ok. Wow! That was deep. I was just making a joke because my middle name and my grandpa's last name was Wilson. But your answer was good too!
can l get a bigger hoop?
Yes you can find the bigger hoops on Amazon for this machine. You still can only upload 4" x 4" designs with this machine.
Diane Morello. yeah this machine will not recognize a bigger hoop but how do you change it to the smaller hoop for smaller designs?
You don't need to change it to a smaller hoop. The design will show on the screen whether you can use the 4" x 4" and/or the little pocket hoop.
I don't know. You might want to check on Amazon. They sell this machine on their site.
You already moved family up because you wanted it closer and saved it. You should only need to adjust the rest. I've had this machine for years and used once. Thanks for the tutorial so I can decorate my neighbor's daughter's clothes for her like I did my granddaughter.
