If you check a full album, I definitely recommend her first two with the Nina Hagen Band. And one of her solo albums I would recommend In Ekstasy (even if the german version is 10 times better).
I am totally down for a whole album. I will speak to Lacey and see if we can book one in. I like the idea of the first 2 with Nina Hagen Band as I love some chronological order.
@@nomi.hagen. the songs on there own show such variation of style that I think listening to them across an album will give an even greater appreciation of the multiple genres she works in.
This is the quintessential Nina Hagen album, she took no prisoners here. I consider it it to this day one of the most unhinged display of creativity ever put on a record.
I can enjoy this album and song without issues now. At the beginning it was a little difficult, I'm not going to lie. If you are interested I would like to suggest a song from a japanese singer called SANDII and her song "Idol Era". It is in english, so you won't have issues understanding.
@PopCultureProductions You know what, I've just realized the song is too pop-rock for your taste. If you want to do an exception for me and if it's not an issue I would prefer you to check: Yapoos - Like a Butcher (This one is really good). Here is a link of the music video. There is one with subtitles but the quality of sound is lower. Hope you can check the lyrics as well. ua-cam.com/video/XeC5jY7LMrU/v-deo.htmlsi=Q3uNJ_geAvPFS4Q4
Its nice to see You react to an old favourite of mine, after all the Lovebites reactions, even though this album was not on my favourite list. I discovered both Nina Hagen and Kate Bush when they came out with their debut ablums 1978 and they both became my absolute favourite singers and they still are. Both of them released 2 fantastic albums and Kate Bush actually managed to release a decent third album as well but 1982 both of them released what turned out to be two of my biggest dissapointments, this one by Nina and The Dreaming by Kate and I still can't stand either of thoose releases I'm sorry to say. I actually saw Nina Hagen live 1980 after she left the band that played on her two first albums so it was not without some doubt that I arrived at the venue but, it turned out to be an absolutely awesome concert that I will never forget so, when this album arrived 2 years later it came as a bit of a chock and not a positive one for sure. Anyways, cool reaction as usual so, keep it up.
I really want to get some Kate Bush on the channel. I am a huge fan and any excuse to listen to her. That being said I think there are large amounts of her work I didn't get to hear. The good old days of being able to afford albums once in a blue moon. While I am looking to get more Nina and Kate on the channel give me a shout of other artists that you love. Let's get our pantheon extended.

@@PopCultureProductions amazing!!! I know you will understand what Nina is all about if you do that.

NunSexMonkRock is an amazing and truly inspired album!
So far I have only experienced songs individually after they are recommended. I am really intrigued to experience an album in it's entirety.

@@LightSearch I love that description of unhinged display of creativity. Wish I had been smart enough to come up with it myself.
Fun! ❤
She is such a phenomenally creative person.

Great Nina
One of the absolute highlights of doing this channel is getting Nina added into my life.

It helps if you think of this of less than music, and more of an audio painting...Picasso perhaps.
