The performance difference between the male characters released earlier this year, and now Roana and ML Angelica, is like the difference between night and day. Male characters, absolutely designed around countering one or two specific heroes / mechanics (e.g. Pavel's anti-damage share for SSB, Kawerik's 1 target cooldown decrease and Ambitious Tywin's weak cleanse passive for Basar). Meanwhile, these new characters just drop a ton of useful skills that will make any player's life super easy, barely an inconvenience in all content, whether it is PVE or PVP.
The boys are just after thoughts (even their animations usually look more rough) only put in the game for the smaller percentage of the community. It's a bit disappointing but I still prefer this over waifu collector games with no boys at all.

Shimadra staff and her artifact would also be the best options for her. Shimadra if you want to reduce the chance of your buff being removed, and increase the healing already present in her kit, or This artifact to just kick your healing into overdrive. I'd probably go with Shimadra though. Reducing the chance for debuffs and buff cleanses to occur while increase your healing is better than just healing whenever someone bitch claps her, and that can be blocked by unhealable alone.

How does Roana do "better" than Elena ? Elena has invincibility, eff res buff, damage mitigation, cleanse, self CR /w tome. They have two separate roles
Elena has a much different purpose. For me personally she enables the usage of slower units with her invincibility buff and effect resistance. In RTA I run Aux Lots, Elena, Judge Kise, SSB, and Earth Bellona; if they ban Aux lots, my fast elena with immunity set will go first, or get pushed up via her s2 + tome, I get off invincibility. If they ban Judge Kise, Bellona's do more than enough damage and Elena s2 provides plenty of sustain and survivability. Elena is a great unit you just utilize her wrong. She is basically a non ML, ML-Carmin. She counters cleave and can enable a lot of units.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd this is the problem when you release an unbalanced limited unit. All of the future units are design primarily to counter said units instead of designing something truly unique. When the simplest of solutions would have been to balance SSB regardless of whale backlash. But hey you do you SC.
