Thanks for the compliment you are too kind! Every now and then you end up at the right place at the right time and get on a good bite. Braid is more sensitive and lets you feel every little thing but I think it helps the fish feel you too! The stretch in mono is more forgiving combined with a light tipped rod helps my hook up ratio. That’s my opinion anyway. Believe it or not I have never tried fluorocarbon. Thanks for watching!🙏🙏🇺🇸

I'm a braid guy myself but I have mono on a few rigs. My favorite is that sos 6 and 4 lb. Man that green and black rod looks sweet! What model is that?
Rich Coulson at headfirst custom rods made that rod especially for me, a Mike Smedley signature series. They presented me with that rod when I went and fished with Captain Mike and Team Old School striped bass fishing team. If you would be interested,”search UA-cam for “ the most important fishing video you will ever see! Mike Smedley” He made a video when they gave me this rod! It’s awesome! I never thought something like that could happen to me.
There’s definitely a difference in braid versus mono ❤
They both have their place. I think it depends on the type of fishing you’re doing.
