As for Hawk, he's been questioning things since he broke Demitri's arm. And then Kreese brought in his former bullies, the reason he joined Cobra Kai was to be stronger but not necessarily join them. Then Kreese brought in Robby which to Hawk represented who his ultimate enemy was so he felt it like "wtf you bringing in enemy number 1 for". He'll contemplate then give in to his Hawk persona. However if you rewatch it it, the moment Hawk turned was when he high fived Kyler. He realize "wait, I'm fighting for the wrong side, I'm fighting my friends not the guys who bullied me forever".
One of the biggest issues is that Hawk is more of a side character, so we don't get to see scenes from his perspective or when he's alone. We just don't get to see the development
The ending of Season 3 is BY FAR the best season ending in the show and will probably remain that way. Also Hawk’s drip in the house fight was unbelievably fire 🔥
It’s pretty obvious by this point that Kreese does want what’s best for Johnny, but what Kreese thinks is best is simply not. It’s an obsession, a toxic obsession.
No, it's obvious that you don't know what you're talking about. The only person Kreese cares about "what's best for" is himself, he's a narcissistic sociopath.
Totally agree. Robby did a terrible thing (kicked Miguel over the railing) and this was clearly shown as an accident. Hawk broke his best friend's arm on purpose. Destroyed the entire MiyagiDo dojo. Stole the Medal of Honor. After the fundraiser for Miguel's surgery, beat up the others and stole the money. Each of Robby's actions is completely understandable once you see the story from his perspective. Johnny chose Miguel over him and didn't visit him in juvie. Daniel has promised to visit him every day. Robby was there for 3-4 months and nobody visited him. Nobody from MiyagiDo, not even his mother or Armanda (this is strange especially after her connection to someone in S4). No one. When you've been locked up for so long and you're on your own, it shouldn't surprise others if you decide to go your own way.
So ready for season 4 reactions! Yall are in for a nice ride haha Edit: In the first Karate Kid movie Daniel was looking at Ali and Johnny standing there talking when the waiter spilled pasta on him. Nice little throwback in the beginning
I have to disagree with blaming the kids for ruining Johnny's and Daniel's relationship together. Johnny and Daniel are the adults. If they get "ruined" by the kids, is their fault, not the kids. In fact, I think the kids have come together more times without them than with them.
@@gonz961 That girl's in love with Tory (Peyton List). Plain and simple. Go back to when Tory (tight tank top) saw Miguel in front of her restaurant in his wheelchair. Said the same things my niece (21) said. *"Oooooh!!!"* 😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣
It is an amazing show. How they tie so many stories together while at the same time paying homage to movies from 40 years ago. Love it! I think they messed up with the Tory character because her backstory (sold provider to sick mom + bro) made her LESS sympathetic. Knowing she had so much to lose on probation, yet she was still out there causing mayhem was a head scratcher
Overall the themes about season three for the most part were closure and burying the hatchet. The only major downside is Robby teaming up with Kreese. Other than that, this was a fantastic season.
Hawk's turn wasn't sudden and light. He was constantly questioning his decisions and his standpoint from the beginning of the season. The main thing that always made him make the wrong decision was peer pressure and his misplaced loyalty to Miguel by aiming his aggression at Miyagi Do. When he realized his enemy is next to him and his real deal friends were in front of him, he realized he was fighting for the wrong reasons and for the wrong people.
You right. I didn’t realize how much hawks questions his every move until I rewatched this season. Even tho he’s got his Mohawk, you can see glimpses of Eli every time hawk does something against his friends
@@YaBoyRockLee a lot of people say this but I guarantee if you watch the season again you will see him question himself and his position over and over. He questions Kreese's decisions, he questions his own actions, Miguel and Johnny both confront him and he seems uncertain both times. I knew his redemption was coming soon the first time I watched the Season.
@@YaBoyRockLee so do you mean moreso that the switch of sides felt sudden rather than the emotional development leading up to the decision? That I could relate to more. But having it happen in the middle of an all-out brawl and changing the course of the battle entirely makes that completely forgivable in my eyes.
Remember, Hawk was conflicted about how he was treating Demetri the entire time...when he actually witnessed how bad things were, he didn't like what he saw. Johnny and Daniel realized that regardless of their differences, Krease is a serious threat to the kids and they can't tolerate what he is doing. Whether they still hate each other or not, they can put that aside for the good of the kids. Now what they will have to do, is learn how to work together...oil and water doesn't mix naturally.
Johnny is not doing anything wrong as him and Carmen are not back together yet. Hawks transition was foreshadowed at the beginning of the season the moment the original bully's that caused him to join cobra kia were accepted to the dojo by kreese.
Amanda Snitched on Johnny to Ali Mills about being attracted to Carmen, when Amanda didn't know what his relationship status actually was between him and Ali or Carmen. That's some Karen stuff to do to him
Okay first am I the only one that thought their screen had a spot on it? Okay really labeling Hawk as a traitor when he was only a member of Cobra Kai when Miyagi Do was the enemy then everyone that started in Cobra Kai and left for either Eagle Fang or Miyagi Do is a traitor. And Hawks' switch wasn't sudden it goes all the way back to episode 5 And Daniel and Johnny basically buried a lot of tension which Ali helped them with just to come back to unite against a common enemy. And don't forget the Daniel was ready to do something he would have regretted because Kreese made it really personal by not only sending Cobra Kai to attack his daughter but to his house, hell remember what John Wick did to the guy that attacked his house. But I love the reactions and can't wait for season 4.
The parallels to what Kreese teaching his students and when he fought his commander. Like they said, Kreese lost originally. But As Kreese told Hawk in season 2 "the fight is over, once you say it's over", no "mercy" bs for him.
I agree. But he’s so insignificant to me that I don’t think about him lol. Robby is worth thinking about for me personally lol. You gotta respect someone enough to hate them if that makes sense
@@YaBoyRockLee Yeah I just hate the kid he is a spoiled brat, I legit put off watching season 3 because of the high school drama aspect of season 2. I hope Robby turns a corner as they were pushing him as the new Karate Kid in the 1st season & Miguel was becoming like Johnny 2.0 I haven't gotten round to Season 4 yet, Season 5 starts in September may wait & just binge the two of them
