My favorite episode of the show. Eric's rendition of the Raiden laugh gets me every time. Also love the discussion of Raiden's preprations for the fanfare at the end of the movie at 1:34:52 - 1:36:00. "If you're all dead, that means we lost Mortal Kombat!"
When I heard this podcast when it initially dropped, i felt bad for Steve because Andrew dismissed him so callously when he mentioned that Bridgette Wilson might have married Pete Sampras. Steve was right, she was (and still is) married to Mr. Sampras.
I was at a wedding talking to the best man. His Girlfriends favourite movie is this. For valentine's day this year he dropped a €1000 renting a cinema screen so they could watch this with her. She had no idea what was playing until the Theme song started blaring out the speakers. Its comforting to know others have bad taste like you and me.
Meeee, too. Love it as much as the movie. I use it as a means of enduring the slog of work. Pop it on to become magically industrious. also the Rifftrax of this is pretty damn good, one of their better latter-day efforts. As someone who watched this here film constantly as a kid, it's nuts that almost 30 years has passed since its release. Time keeps on slipping and all that.
if you Ever Play Mortal Kombat at the Arcade ...they give you fuck tons of story inbetween demo game Play when your not playing the game...so there is story enuff for All the People you see in the 1st Movie For the 1st games Players...
Love you guys! Thanks so much for this here upload. I quite enjoy the first MK but of course equally enjoy its deserved demolition. Decided to give the movie and ep another spin. One more tall glass of water and ... 40 more minutes of kombat and I'll be off!
I can still remember listening to this episode for the first time in the middle of a grocery store and having to leave because I was wheezing
I literally had to pull over.
49:01 Mortal Kombat accommodations menu begins.
I love this podcast.
thanks king
Andrew absolutely losing his shit and trying not to blow out the mic is hilarious
Just what I needed, thank you!
possibly the best one you ever made.
Your Lambert is on point.
Heh heh heh

This episode and the brainscan episode are possibly the funniest shit on UA-cam...I could watch that informational hotel menu all day.
Real talk, I saw this 3 times in the theater and definitely had the cassingle of the theme song.

One of the best episodes ever.
A great starter for any newbie.
Also, Dan Forden is the Toasty guy. He also does the sound and music.

Yeah I remember the story in between the fights too. I think MK3 Arcade did that as well?

Street Fighter (1994) > Mortal Kombat. Fight me about it.
I’m with you on that. Definitely preferred Street Fighter (1994) over Mortal Kombat (1995)
