The movie seems perfect just the way it is. But the casting was originally vastly different. Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson were always cast in their roles; But originally, De Niro was to have been the agent that Michael Keaton plays, Harvey Keitel was to have been Max Cherry, and Sylvester Stallone was to have been Louis. Can you imagine that??? I think it worked out for the better. However, it apparently drove a wedge between Keitel and Tarantino for a while when Tarantino had apparently already asked Keitel to be Max Cherry, and then while Keitel was in London shooting another film, Tarantino called him and told him he was going with Robert Forster instead. After they'd done "Reservoir Dogs", "Pulp Fiction", and "From Dusk till Dawn" together, Keitel was pissed. They apparently didn't speak for over two years after that. The only time Keitel has worked with Tarantino since was a small voice-only cameo in "Inglourious Basterds". But they made up many years ago.

The movie seems perfect just the way it is. But the casting was originally vastly different. Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson were always cast in their roles; But originally, De Niro was to have been the agent that Michael Keaton plays, Harvey Keitel was to have been Max Cherry, and Sylvester Stallone was to have been Louis. Can you imagine that??? I think it worked out for the better. However, it apparently drove a wedge between Keitel and Tarantino for a while when Tarantino had apparently already asked Keitel to be Max Cherry, and then while Keitel was in London shooting another film, Tarantino called him and told him he was going with Robert Forster instead. After they'd done "Reservoir Dogs", "Pulp Fiction", and "From Dusk till Dawn" together, Keitel was pissed. They apparently didn't speak for over two years after that. The only time Keitel has worked with Tarantino since was a small voice-only cameo in "Inglourious Basterds". But they made up many years ago.

That's my old stomping grounds, The Del Amo Mall in Torrance California. It doesn't look like that anymore, what a fuckin shame. It was filmed all over the south bay area,my town but all the places shown in the film, are all gone, torn down and unrecognizable. . What a shame...
