Pablo Ruiz Picasso 1881-1973 spent the last 12 years of his life living there. It was in this beautiful french village that he created over 300 of his works. Mougins had been inhabited and frequented by many artists and celebrities including, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Winston Churchill, Édith Piaf, and many more.

Hi. We always start our videos early in the morning in high season. That way you can experience the peace and and quiet before the village gets busier. It’s lovely to be able to view the architecture and pretty streets and then as the video continues, the village wakes up to the day and the shops and restaurants open and more people arrive. Are you currently spending your days in the UK rather than traveling? ✨🇬🇧
We’ve heard that Mougins is the village where Picasso spent his later years and loved dearly.
The video camera is capturing a multitude of art pieces, including artwork in the alleyways and sculptures displayed in various places throughout the village.
Looking at the boards of Mougins that we are capturing in the video footage, we became more interested in its unique layout with houses arranged in a spiral pattern.
Mougins is a village with many galleries and exhibitions of works, so wherever you walk, you can smell the scent of art.
Through beautiful video footage, we are able to enjoy a great feast for the eyes.☝️🌟😊

We hope to travel more often throughout the year and more extensively in the future (budget allowing).

A nice town to walk, shop and dine. My apprehension to visit France is we will be snub since we don't speak French.
Hi, we have been learning french since last June, just a few minutes a day can make a real difference. Our French is improving using the Duolingo App, which is super easy to use. (Not a paid promotion) Many people do speak English and we have found that is is very respectful to at least try to communicate with French. Often they will then help you out if you eat stuck and also love to practice their English. Google translate is always on your phone for more technical conversations. Please do visit France, it has such beautiful culture and friendly people, at little French to begin with will get you by. Thank you for sharing and have a great day 😊
Many millions of tourists from Northern Europe and Asia visit France every year. With speaking English you'll be fine imo. If some shop owner or restaurant employee isn't respectful, just go to the next one 🙂
I think the Provence is a lot more attractive than the Cote d'Ázur. More room, nature, and (still) less mass tourism. Very beautiful region!

Most of the French Riviera is technically in the cultural region (and historic province) of Provence but I do know what you mean ☺ The French Riviera is indeed over crowded by tourists, winter birds, and residents alike, and it's not a place where one feels good beyond 24 or 48 hours when they are not rich. Mougins is gorgeous but I do believe it caters to a similar posh crowd (hence its very well maintained look, art galleries, and street art, so I suppose something good does come out of that demographic). But unlike Eze and Saint Paul de Vence, it's usually peaceful, like in this video. Not sure if you've heard of Moustiers Sainte Marie...it's much further north but still quintessentially Provençal, architecturally and culturally. Plus it's geographic setting is stunning in my opinion. You'll find a video of it in this channel but to see the setting I'm referring to, it's best to google it and check out some of the images.

HI, thank you for your comment. You will find that the whole video does include exploring the pretty streets of Mougins and taking in the houses, sculptures etc of the village. Mougins is known for it’s link to Picasso and other artists. It is famous for it’s art exhibitions that are displayed throughout the village every year and it’s fabulous gastronomy and excellent restaurants. There are many fruits of this particular exhibition in the main entrance to the village, at the start of the video.
