Great Review! one small correction. its 4 full charges from the case. its rated at 20 hours because its counting 4 hours of the buds plus 4 charges. Also, i might highlight, for workout buds, having the physical button is soooooo much better than touch controls because if condensation or sweat gets on the touch part, the buds go crazy and ultimately turn themselves off because it reads the moisture as you holding the touch panel. I have experience with this first hand with the truengine 2's. (this is why i would not recommend the trueshift. Why make something waterproof with touch panels!?! also, who needs 100 hours and a brick of a case!?!?!). For that reason the physical buttons are ideal for workout buds! BTW, i just got these and they are awesome. They are replacing my more expensive truengine 2s that are twice the cost. (better sound profile IMO)
Just bought a pair that arrived yesterday. A softer touch press for the buttons would have made this super-premium but for its price, I'm not minding it that much!
@@MusicianGreg whenever i turn the headphones off and reconnect them it goes from SBC to AAC and i want it to stay on SBC but i have to do it manually every time i connect my earbuds you know how to fix it?

Greetings Sean. Thanks for this review. While I'm aware that it's outdated, the reason I bought just bought the TrueFree2, brand new, was for my daily workout for its IPX7 rating and secure fit. CURIOUSLY, is it normal for the battery to last only approximately 2 hours and 48 minutes at 80% Volume? Hoping to get your immediate response as my return window's coming soon. Thanks again.

Some customers are saying that the physical buttons are too hard to press, that they have to take them out of ears to press them, or that they have to use their nails to press them...what's your opinion?
Hello, i would go with the Truefree 2. Its a much better sounding earbuds in my opinion. The onyx free you'll get UV, but bass isn't really strong on that.
Hi Sean, I’m your new subscriber, your content is really good bro! By the way, currently I’m looking for ANC true wireless earbuds like airpods pro, any suggestion for the best budget ANC earbuds? Thank you!
Hey Sean! Truefree VS Truefree 2? I know the 2's a lot bassier, but how does the mids and highs differ between the two? And the clarity also? I know you'll reply. I believe in you. 😆 Thanks a lot!
I actually think the original Truefree has better clarity, because think of the method on how they would tune a single driver, since it produces both low ends and high ends. So in the 2, they tuned up the bass, so it takes over a little on the mids and highs. But you still get some clarity. But don't get me wrong, because, some people do enjoy this type of sound signature, haha but personally I would like something with more clarity. So for me, multi drivers are the way to go. If you have a chance to try out a friend's KZ S2 or the Truengine 3SE, then you'll experience the deep bass as well as sharp mids and highs. 😄🔥 hope that helps bro.
My faith has not failed me! 😆 Thanks a lot bro. I didn't expect the original ones to be clearer, but I want to try them both, so I'll buy and choose which to return between the two instead, since both are affordable! Thanks a lot! 😀
Biggest difference=touch control vs button on the true free 2. If your goal is to use for exercise, go with truefree 2's. touch controls are useless when they get wet on trueshift. Its kind of silly to me that they made the trueshifts waterproof with touch controls...
Thank you very much for the review. I have the Sony WF-1000XM3 and while the sound quality is excellent, it's not ideal for my workouts. I wanted a budget option just for exercise purposes. After watching your review of Soundpeats I ordered it and it's a better fit for my ear, the bass is INCREDIBLE and I know my workouts will be lit! I'm in Kenya so ordering from your links would have been too costly, but I wanted to extend my appreciation for the great review.
Yoo ik it's been 2 years but can you do a comparison between the wf1000xm3 and the soundpeats and let know which one is better when it comes to sound quality, mic quality and, battery capacity I would really appreciate it because I am currently conflicted between Sony wf1000xm3,soundpeats truefree2 and soundcore Anker r100
@@emerandu I will say that for mic quality the Sony buds are superior, even in adjusting for different sound presets. For normal music listening I am happy with both tbh. Battery capacity, SoundPeats wins here by a long shot yet it has a smaller case. But if you want to have phone calls with SoundPeats you won't enjoy the experience. I would suggest maybe pricing up - I got some SoundPeats buds for a friend that looked like AirPods (sorry forget the name) and he said the call quality was great.
Is this touch sensitive controls or physical button? I had an underwhelming experience with touch sensitive ones with my current tws.. so i really wana make a switch to physical buttons. Can u recommend one from soundpeats with that feature? Or any other that's abour RM170

These for my ears feels a lot more snug that the trueshift 2. Both sits really nice. But the truefree 2 has more rubber parts to make it hold better in the ears. 😄
I would say the GT1 plus has an edge over this because of that qualcomm chip and if you run a compatible android phone, you'll definitely hear better sound quality from the GT1 plus. 😄
@@SeanTalksTech Wow, thanks for the reply & recommendation! Will definitely go for Haylou GT1. Anyway, your content is amazing, reminds me of Jimsreview hhaha. Keep on doing more and more great review. #proudmalaysian
Hello. The biggest 2 difference between the 2 is IP rating and stereo mono support. The Truefree 2 has an IPX7 rating which is super good water resistant rating, whereas the Truefree+ only has IPX4 which is splash proof only. The older truefree+ runs a master slave style connection, so if you want to use it in mono or stereo mode (meaning one sided use) you need to pair them differently. The Truefree 2 solves that and can be use as individual ear buds just by taking it out from the case. So those are the 2 biggest justifications for the upgrade 😄
Trueshift 2 is a pretty solid option. For me, the trueshift2 fits better than the truefree 2. The truefree is a little bigger so may not be as comfortable to most people.
Hey Sean! Have you tried the Truedot? How does it compare to the original Truefree and this second version? I'm very close to making a purchase. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks!
The Truedot is very similar to the Haylou GT1 plus, and its quite an ok pair, i wouldn't say the bass is the strongest, but if you're into bassier profiles, then the TrueFree2 should float your boat 😄🔥
Hey Sean, i was thinking of getting between this and the 3se but was worried with the 3se fit during sport. I do like to have more sound quality and the aptx support, is the 3se fit doable for light-moderate sport? Btw, awesome channel, good amount of content with timestamps too.
Hey there, personally i like the fit better on the Truefree 2, but note that it's a bit larger than most earbuds. Sound quality wise, truefree 2 is more thumping, a louder bass compared to the XR. XR still sounds ok, bass definitely not as strong. But acceptable. If you need a smaller earbuds that fit, the XR is great 😄
bro for sounpeats true engine 3 SE, SE 1st gen, sabbat e12 ultra.. any Aptx support with QC 3020 chip, u need to pair it with android that have android 10 and new snapdraon processor (minimum sd845, 730g) to get TWS+ connection thus make low latency gaming. On par with gaming mode
Can't actually figure out why companies skip aptx. They may charge few bucks more and give us a luxury of having aptx support. Anyways legit review as always
I think sound profile wise, very similar, go with the trueshift 2 if you like that amazing battery. Else, for something more portable, get the Truefree 2
I think the Truengine 3SE is a very good earphones to give you good bass and good clarity. The truefree 2 is a more bassy earbuds with a little less clarity. 😄
my right earbud doesn't work. I can't hear any sound from it. I tried resetting the earbuds several times and some other methods as well to get it to work. Sometimes I still can hear from both earbuds
Hey Sean, please include the connection phases for other earbuds next time; not only the first time pairing but also usage afterwards. Do i just pull them out and use after pairing it first time? Or i have to manually turn them on every single time i put them on? Everything else, awesome review....and also a Malaysian one i suspect with the choice of currency. Subbed.
Watched your review and decided to purchase it. It’s on sale for around 23USD here in the Philippines, bang for the buck indeed. The sound quality is surprisingly on par with my Jaybird X3.
I was devastated that i chose the haylou gt5. The quality and sound was great but as a person who likes to workout or exercise, its touch sensors on its buds is very annoying sometimes. I should've bought this haha but tbh I'm just disappointed about the sensitive sensors in the haylou gt5. Get the truefree 2 if you don't want something that will unintentionally stop what you're listening to. No hate hehe.
It has been months since i was using the Haylou GT5 and i can say that the sensors are very prone to any touch.. I mean I even have to tie my long hair so that i wouldn't touch the sensors on the buds. But still it is accurate though. The Haylou GT5's design is very minimalist and the truefree 2 is like chunky. Maybe its all about our preferences. But the Haylou GT5's appearance is 👌 and also the battery life. The water resistant thing is okay because when you're wearing the buds the water doesn't get in because of the rubber tips that is very fit inside your ears. You'll only need to worry more about not accidentally touching the sensors on the Haylou GT5. btw, the output sound of the Haylou GT5 is so bassy. idk about the truefree 2 but i think it's also a bit more expensive.
@@rectorrey I am also liking the design on the GT5, but I feel the sensors will be a pain. The features are all tempting but given its pricetag, I think that inexpensive earbuds with loads of features will not really last long... I changed my mind with the Truefree2, I'm still browsing over different budget earbuds in Lazada and Shopee and I can't still make up my mind lol.

bro for sounpeats true engine 3 SE, SE 1st gen, sabbat e12 ultra.. any Aptx support with QC 3020 chip, u need to pair it with android that have android 10 and new snapdraon processor (minimum sd845, 730g) to get TWS+ connection thus make low latency gaming. On par with gaming mode
Can't actually figure out why companies skip aptx. They may charge few bucks more and give us a luxury of having aptx support. Anyways legit review as always
Trueshift 2 or truefree 2 ?
I think sound profile wise, very similar, go with the trueshift 2 if you like that amazing battery. Else, for something more portable, get the Truefree 2
Nice keyboard! What it's called?
Thanks. I'm using the Keychron K2
Very great review! Please review Tronsmart Apollo Bold as well.
These or soundpeats true engine 3se ?
I think the Truengine 3SE is a very good earphones to give you good bass and good clarity. The truefree 2 is a more bassy earbuds with a little less clarity. 😄
my right earbud doesn't work. I can't hear any sound from it. I tried resetting the earbuds several times and some other methods as well to get it to work. Sometimes I still can hear from both earbuds
Yikes, sounds like a factory defect. Get a warranty claim my friend!
Subbed.
I meant to say, do they automatically connect next time i pull them out of the casing after i paired them beforehand ?
Hi there. Thanks for the support! Yes they do. Once you connect them once, they'll automatically connect everytime you pull them out of the case 😄
Watched your review and decided to purchase it. It’s on sale for around 23USD here in the Philippines, bang for the buck indeed. The sound quality is surprisingly on par with my Jaybird X3.
Are these click buttons or touch sensitive?
They are click buttons 😄
@@SeanTalksTech ugh. I've been searching for a small touch sensitive style Earbuds that's not too bulky, but neat and seamless. Any suggestions?
After 2 weeks my right earbud already isnt working properly, sometimes for a split second I hear audio from it but its just not working...
Try to do a factory reset, usually it fixes the problem, else u should get a warranty claim since its 2 weeks old. Good luck yea

So close to getting it but too big for my ears... looks good though
Ooh yea, these are quite big. Not the most comfy for smaller ears.😄
very nice video review..bro!!
Thank you my friend!😄
These or the Aukey EP-T25?
Up
Good reviews bro
it is look same with T9C QCY
I was devastated that i chose the haylou gt5. The quality and sound was great but as a person who likes to workout or exercise, its touch sensors on its buds is very annoying sometimes. I should've bought this haha but tbh I'm just disappointed about the sensitive sensors in the haylou gt5. Get the truefree 2 if you don't want something that will unintentionally stop what you're listening to. No hate hehe.
Torn between buying TrueFree 2 or Haylou GT5, are the sensors really that bad? And are they water resistant for thr GT5?
