  • In this video, we're going to show you how to create a roll up summary field in Salesforce Flow using the flow builder. This will allow you to quickly and easily create and manage roll ups in your Salesforce.
Roll ups are a great way to summarize your data and make it easy to see trends. By creating a roll up summary field in Salesforce Flow, you'll be able to keep your data organized and easy to access. Our goal is to count the number of tasks related to a lead and enter that count on a custom field on the lead object.
We create two formulas on the Activity object so that we can reference them inside our flow as filter conditions.

Very good detailed video. Thanks for putting this out, I was looking at a way to do a similar flow on different objects.

love your solution! I started my flow on the Lead and did try to use the WhoID and WhatId on the Get related Tasks but didn't work with both because didn't have those formula fields on the Activity.. also thanks for addressing the deletion of tasks part!

Hi there, Thank you so much for the video. I havent been able to come right as the objects I need the roll up on, do now have the WhatIDText and WhoIDText. Any suggestions on how else I can do this? I have a task object which is related to the Timesheet Object and I need to Sum all the Timesheets' hours used and roll them up to the Task object.

Could I do this same thing to get roll up count of Number of Meetings which is identified by the Object Event, and field Event Subtype = Event, for an Opportunity? Ie after the Opportunity was created how many meetings were there

Yes absolutely! The same principles apply.
