    Thanks so much for these videos..In Canada there aren't a lot of resources for repairs of the old Dublo equipment so this has really given me hope that I can restore some of my "tired" locos cheers, Frank

    hi Ronald, just found in my loft suitcase with all my Hornby dublo train set in which my father bought me second hand for Christmas over 50 years ago, with the help of your videos have managed to get 2 of my 4 trains running the 3 will only run on 3/4 power then cuts out and the 4 needs a new motor, please can you help with the one that will only run on 3/4 power, and I also need 2 sets of brushes and spring where can I get them from ? cheers

    HI Ronald. As any good electrician or mechanic will tell you. Never use any emery or carborundum paper on electrical items, as it will cause you problems. Sandpaper only !!!

    Hello Ronald. Many thanks for your videos. I have a BR Standard 2 6 4 tank that runs, slowley, but only if I 'coax' it by flicking the armature with a toothpick! It has a really good magnet and brushes. Do you have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks again.

      Hi, You need to determine if it is mechanically binding, if not it may need a motor re-wind.

      @@Raedodd5 Many thanks for your reply. I don't think there is a binding issue so as you say, and I think I suspected, a motor rewind is needed. Can you recommend anyone?

    Hi ron what would you do if the brush tunnel insulation is shorting out i have tried it with a multimeter and that seems to be the problem ??????
