- This long-form track, titled Structural Eternal, might sound familiar to those acquainted with the Altus back catalogue. It's a reimagining of Magellanic Clouds from The Grand Expanse (2007). That song resonated strongly with many listeners, so I felt it would be a fun experiment to break it apart, explore its inner workings, and rebuild it again in greater detail.

Fractional Dimensions is an ongoing long-form series from Loneward that explores slow-moving spaces for contemplation, meditation, and sleep.
This is ambient music in its purest form.
Best experienced at low listening levels.
Due to the long-form nature of this work, this recording is only available for purchase at Bandcamp (digital and CDr) and UA-cam.

always LOVE Loneward albums by Altus. Always! I will add that I do miss some of that uplifting/intriguing vibe from the first two Lonewards and from albums like Komorebi (sp). Lifelong fan either way 💯💥💥💥💥

An interesting interpretation.
In this case, it's a world created purely by a mathematical equation and represented as a 3D fractal.

Largely a tongue in cheek observation. And I enjoy all of your music.. It's my go to for driving home late at night after spending time with close family, and evenings of dedicated relaxation. Your music obviously really speaks to people 🙂
I had similar thoughts. Separating the visuals from the music for a moment, I found myself imagining that I was standing on/within one of the fractal structures, and imagining being amidst a mathematically endless world like this. It almost made me nauseous at the thought. While the fractals themselves exist and form the landscape, there's nothing else but them. Bleak, empty nothing, from here to infinity. Nothing to explore, because there's nothing to find except the same infinitely repeating structures. It's like being banished to a coldly sinister prison for the mind. I feel like that sort of setting would lead me to madness.
The music, however, is lovely. :)

Rather seen sun operating over silent hill when litening... Foggy be much lower notes perhaps.. bit depressing.. murky.. mysterious.. This has hopes notes on sun in the being close over horizon..
Its own only reception though ...
