Jalal Merhi is Brazilian-Canadian his parents are immigrants from Lebanon they call him "Beirut's Steven Seagal" Merhi first started Shotokan style of karate as youth later moving to tiger style Kung Fu. He has sifu rank in Kung Fu and owns his own school in Canada

As far as I know; Chinese martial arts don’t have a belt system. And styles like eagle claw, tiger, mantis, all fall under the heading of kung fu.
