Sign turned out great, looks like you’re getting the hang of things. I’m looking at investing in a Crossfire Pro (most likely) or the XR. Been watching all the vids on them of course. I have to agree with you about all the positives talked about the Langmuir machines, but few negatives. I had some similar problems in the beginning, with a budget CNC router table I purchased. There is a steep learning curve, and many improvements to be made on the stock machine to get things running well. Have subbed to your channel. Thanks for all the great vids and info on this machine.

Thanks for the subscription. I’m not sure how you found the channel. There is a learning curve, for sure, but what most people don’t know is that I had a bad electronics unit (PC Board/Stepper Drivers, etc) which took three months of back and forth with Langmuir to get them to replace. You really hope that you get a unit that “just works” because there’s enough to learn even if everything goes right, but that was certainly an added degree of difficulty. The biggest trouble I have now is a too old computer trying to run Fusion 360, but, I’ve cut quite a few signs, and several parts. I wish I used the plasma more than I do. I’m trying really hard to set myself up for more of that kind of work, so here’s hoping! 👍🏼

Turned out great Casey! I see you are back to running a "funnel" on the torch, different brand?

Thanks Todd, and good eye. Yeah, I’m trying it out again. I’m not sure if you noticed (or could tell) but I’ve got an entire new Z-axis assembly on the machine, and a custom torch mount and splash guard. I was amazed at how caked with metal and grime my old z-axis was for being essentially only a few weeks old, and after dialing everything in perfectly, on the new parts, I wanted to make a reasonable effort to keep everything clean. That said, I’m watching it like a hawk for any signs that it might be catching fire. 😂 You can’t be too careful. 😊

Looking to find a Crossfire Pro near me. I live in Laguna Niguel, California. Where are you located? If close by could I come by some time and see the Crossfire Pro work? Thx, Mark

Jump on the Langmuir Forums and I’ll bet you can find someone near you that’ll give a tour.
