@danagray-2222 We prefer coconut apricot wax also called ceda serica and we recommend whoever has the best shipping costs for you because it's usually the deciding factor. We get ours from @hiveandhoneycandleco.com
You would have to look at your cost of goods in total and multiply that by 2-3 for wholesale and times 3-4 for retail. If it costs you $5 including everything down to the wick sticker to make, you should sell it for $15-$20. If it costs you $12 sell it for $36-$48. It is all what you are comfortable with and what gives you the profit you desire but that is a pretty standard retail pricing practice. We will try to include this in a video soon. Hope that helps.
@ItsJessie915 Thats great! How was the market? If $10 gets you a profit margin you're happy with, especially if you made your fees back, do that. Or if not, now you can raise your price at each market until you hit your pricing sweet spot. You have to kind of choose, do you want to make and sell more at a lower price 10 candles @ $10/ea to reach $100 or do you want to make/sell less at a higher price 4 candles at $25/ea to get $100. Your market may help determine that too.
