    What are alternatives to using Mod Podge. I was thinking of using a clear sealant spray but that could be flammable when the candle is lit.

    Hello, what is the product you use over the design? One that is within the green pot, is a glue, varnish? I'm from Brazil and here do not have that brand, and also can not know reading because they do not understand English.
    Thanks for listening. Hug!!

    • @HennaArtByAroosa
      @HennaArtByAroosa  8 років тому +1

      +Arte é Vida Its called modpodge and its a glue that dries clear

    • @arteevida552
      @arteevida552 8 років тому

      +Henna Art By Aroosa Then it would be a glue for decoupage, correct? Here in Brazil only found for comparable on a website, and it's quite expensive, I will buy every day to see if there is a difference with the glue to decoupage I have here. Thank you for resposder my question !! Kisses ... bye

    • @babamc4
      @babamc4 8 років тому

      Decoupage glue and sealer is just a watered down PVA glue, sometimes called 'white' glue, school glue or Elmer's Glue etc. There are loads of 'recipes' on the Internet for fake ''Modge Podge'. I normally just pour my glue into a jar then add the water until I get a runny single cream consistency. It's almost equal amounts of water to glue. HTH

    • @arteevida552
      @arteevida552 8 років тому +1

      +babamc4 Okay, thank you for the tips, and congratulations on your work is wonderful, beautiful, perfect !! kisses

    • @babamc4
      @babamc4 8 років тому

      Yes it is decoupage glue but as I say you can make your own. Mod Podge costs here €10 or so, I buy 500ml of white PVA glue for €3.99 and get almost 850ml of decoupage glue for the same price. Remember decoupage and crafts are very old, before Mod Posge was invented! So they had to use other glues!

      Acrylic paint takes a while to dry. I'd say leave it at least a few hours or over night (to be certain it is dry) depending on how thick you have applied it. Hope this is helpful..

      +Sukhdeep Kaur khalsa it shouldn't peel off once you seal it with modpodge unless you intentionally tried to peel it. These are just for decoration so if your a bit rough with it then it may peel off easily.

    absolutely gorgeous...and this is just my opinion and Please do not get offended, i think it would look a bit more professional if you used maybe smaller swaroski cyrstals instead of the really crafty rhinestone. thats just my opinion, it gets rid of the crafty feel and looks a bit more professional. I absolutely love the designs though. very pretty. thanks for making the video!!
