I’ll tell you why there’s not a lot of new players coming through, some the smoking ban in 2007 (YES THE SMOKING BAN) trade and labour clubs have nearly all closed meaning the price of snooker is through the roof, just to practise everyday can cost a young person £6 an hour, when you need to practise for 6 hours a day that’s £252 quid a week, that’s a lot for a young person wanted to play snooker. In a good labour club you can pay a little as 20p for 10 minutes or £1.20 an hour, there is some of these places still around, they usually only have 1 or 2 snooker tables but if you find them and your good at snooker then get busy because there isn’t actually that many top players anymore, it feels more like a dying sport and the snooker world needs to do something about that FAST.
